This level felt like a fever dream. This was undoubtably one of my favourite games as a kid. I even learned the secret moves on the PvP mode characters by just spamming every configuration of buttons I could think of. Such memories.
I think the Poisonous Rice should be replaced to Venomous Donut 😆

Venomous means toxin is injected to you (snake bite)
Poisonous is toxin ingested via inhalation or swallowing or absorption through skin. Thats all!

This was one of the best game series on playstation. I would spend hours to get grandmaster in every lvl. I actually loved the second tenchu game the most. That was awesome

One thing I enjoyed doing in "Return From Darkness" on the original Xbox was attempting to playthrough levels very stealthy without killing foes or being spotted. 🥴

well apparently the first idea for tenchu was a something like this level (a ninja in a modern world) maybe they got the idea from there! If a new tenchu ever happens I'm sure they should do something with this portal thing
@@WILLYGAMESTV they got this idea from the time they were finishing something about the game and they needed to visit the US during the visit a camera was stolen from someone in the team and they reported it to the police, they realized the police wasnt going to do anything and they all seemed like they didnt care about catching the bandit. The team from tenchu noticed how all the cops were fat and eating donuts so they got the idea from that visit to the US.

Man how many times my brother and I played the Co-Op of this game. They really need to make full Co-op game like this. Nothing TOO fancy, but emphasis on timing and teamwork to infiltrate places in your pijamas.
Oh man I missed this... I hope they'll do something like this again. I guess I'll just go to an emulator to relive my childhood.
narrator has to be the voice for the OG WoW cutscenes in the beginning when you made your character, sounds exactly the same lol

I dont know what do you mean by crt but you can emulate it in some computers or if you were talking about not having a proper tv, there are hdmi adaptors for the ps2

The stealth genre was amazing back then. Tenchu, Splinter cell, MGS, Hitman etc. I miss those types of games. There's just nothing like them coming out any more.

A lot of people don’t realize or have any clue that the executions on the MW series pull directly from Tenchu. Its a shame. The game needs…NEEDS a remaster ASAP

I know it’s super unlikely but I would absolutely kill for a VR Tenchu title. Or even just a Wrath of Heaven VR remaster like they did with Resident Evil 4.

WOW - I loved this level- I wanted a whole game like this growing up- I never was able to beat the boss though-
I wonder how Rikimaru, an individual from Feudal Japan, was able to learn how things in this world (our modern time) works, gather information on what was happening with that corrupt business, and make it his mission to assassinate that dirt bag CEO? 🧐
Also, I wonder if Rikimaru (and possibly Mei-Oh himself) were aware they in fact time traveled centuries to the future?
I also wonder if Mei-Oh did so with the portal on purpose to work his devilment in another timeline? 👀
Even in Federal Japan the leaders are probably dirtbags too, that type of thing is universal
According to the Japanese version of the game, Rikimaru travel to the future and was instantly draw to the CEO evil energy and the reason is because this is a future avatar of lord mei-oh in the future.
Reason why the CEO has izayoi because for the events of Tenchu 3 ,rikimaru fused together both swords.
The sword rikimaru uses on this level is a random sword he took from a random enemy, reasons why is left behind after he takes out the CEO.
It's a level about time-travelling ninjas from the past... Don't overthink it lol.

Also after defeating the CEO rikimaru returns to his time with the portal on that mission where he fights onikage.

@@ZER0O9 Well the characters were different sure but it struck me as the devs doing with Graphics and breadth/size/move set what they couldn't do on PS1. I thought the stories within the mission were sufficient since even the first one(s) were mission based. I didn't miss the original characters once I got to the late game seeing that it was about the scope of the ninja tools and mechanics
Tenchu boss fights is really the progenitor of Souls combat. Just give us another Tenchu, From. No. Sekiro isn't Tenchu.

Tenchu developers, Acquire should’ve make Tokyo (not USA) since Rikimaru traveled from Fedual Japan to modern day Tokyo since it will be a pre-Akiba’s Trip game when Acquire develop both games.

Can someone explain to me why rikimarus sword stayed when he got teleported
According to the Japanese version of the game, rikimaru was sent to the future using the portal bit because he leave izayoi to ayame in the past, he was forced to take a random sword from a random enemy, when rikimaru was in the future he was instantly draw to kill the CEO because this is a future avatar of lord mei-oh.
So when killing CEO, he returns to his timeline leaving the random sword he uses.
Also CEO was using izayoi because after the events of Tenchu 3, he probably waited until rikimaru pass away to reclaim the sword, seeing that rikimaru fused shichishito and izayoi.
