Sometimes, the best thing to do as cavalry is... nothing.... the threat of a 5 march cavalry is strong enough that people would rather get smacked by mages and not deal with the cavalry legions.
Hahah spot on, I've had people stop leaving their bases all together because they didn't believe they could get their ranged marches to the ball safely. It makes people play with a lot more awareness... or suffer ;)
