Very cool anniversary edition. We are a blue power farm here in NY. We never had problems with our Fords and will continue to buy NH tractors for a long time to come. We have had 8ns ,9ns, 5000s ,5600 ,6600 ,8000 all amazing machines. Cool video thank you for it
Great video George you and Mucker a great tour around the centre. My Dad worked for Fords moved from Dagenham and moved to Basildon in 64 . Your bring back fond memories of the plant . 👍🚜🔧
Another great video George - some excellent machines have been produced over the last 60 years by Ford/New Holland, and fortunately I've been around to follow that development!
Hallo george many thank that you filmed in the New Holland factory. Mucka and you a Dream Team. In the 1990 years drived a Lot of Ford 8830 in my area that is my machine
I saw the art work on the tractor cab last month on a factory tour , wasn’t quite finished. Great day ,the time before when I toured the factory they were making the 7610 series 2 in the mid 1980s. Good times Good tractors . Thanks for the Video George 😊🇬🇧👍
I’ve been a Ford fan all my life. As an interesting connection, the first tractor rolled off the line there May 15th, 1964. As well, the original Mustang launched May 17, 1964, which is exactly 4 weeks before I was born. So I feel extra close to both of these vehicles. Looking forward to the plant tour.
Hey George interesting video, wow hasn't New Holland come a long way in that 60 years. The colours on that New Holland would remind you of the movie Austin Powers as yourself and mucker said. I must say yourself and mucker are great craic to watch. I really enjoy watching the two of ye. Keep up the great work George.
1964 was a landmark year for tractor launches with the emergence of the Ford 6X range and the Massey Red Giant range. Many of these tractors are still in use today.
Great video Lads 👌 got me thinking how many hours did i spend in a tractor seat like that and found it very comfortable 👍 would be nice to see that methane system actually in use on a farm 🤔 looking forward to the factory tour 👍
An excellent video, George. I was just wondering the other day if the factory would be celebrating the Diamond anniversary of production at Basildon with a special model to commemorate 60 years of production, and they have done. I've been to see the factory twice, once in December 1985, when they launched the Force 2 models with the super Q cabs and in 2015 when the new style models came out, the production line had completely changed over the 30 years since I first visited Basildon. The visitors centre is a superb place to see too.
Very interesting to see the slurry to power idea, especially as some balloon was on fb this morning claiming there'll be no dairy farms by 2030. Suspect he'd been on the nut juice.
I would love to see you try that biogas system on your dairy farm - complete with a biogas powered NH tractor. I am sure you could negotiate a discount for the exposure it would give to what looks like a promising technology for some livestock farmers!
Dad drove one of the first 4000 tractors and also had one of the first Force 4000. He always said the 4000 was far better than the 5000. He ended his working days with a 7610.
It would have been easier taking a bunch of 5 year olds into a sweet shop than takiing Kurt to the tractor factory!!!... he's got "naughty schoolboy" written all over him!!!😂😂😂...Good video Guys!!!👍
Happy memories of bale cart with Ford 4000, used to knock her out of gear going down hill and overtake the ole girls out on their Sunday afternoon drive !! You should seem the look on their faces. Thanks for an interesting video, Cheers Poth.
Looks like they should have relocated the air adjust button to the sideboard as well to keep it from being messed with by the little kids in the jump seat!
Having learnt to drive on a Ford 3000, this was absolutely interesting. I was also interested in the bio-gas system. Other than the obvious benefits to the farmer, these kinds of systems can also help to fight back against the political pressure and quite frankly bullying, that is being thrown towards agriculture at the moment. Not every farm can implement a system like this, but if the NFU can turn around and say XX% of overall agricultural emissions are being offset by whatever amount, this can of course be only a good thing. However, governments need to get behind agriculture and provide financial and moral support to agriculture to ensure that farms that can and should have these systems, be able to implement them. I don't hold out on any supportive government from any party coming to power anytime soon though...
Nice design but the whole flower power/psychedelia thing did not really kick off until the second half of the 1960's. More realistically the tractor would have been a boring grey.
Just wanted to say thanks for a fantastic video I collect from Basildon new Holland George I now deliver new Holland tractors 🚜 if you see a ws transportation lorry with new Holland on the back its possible me by the way I will try to being Kurt sweets this week 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Are also bring you a pack of Curly Wurly

See that through a child’s eyes, funky colours + big tractor, what’s not to love.

Nice lighthearted video, tractors, candy, bio-fuel, all functioning together, thanks George.
That new Holland looks groovy man thanks for sharing your visit

New Holland are now set for the future..WHATEVER that will bring❤❤
Got the pewter model of the tractor my grandad got in 1989 when he got a 7810 on the 25th anniversary. 60 years!
Great video Lads 👌 got me thinking how many hours did i spend in a tractor seat like that and found it very comfortable 👍 would be nice to see that methane system actually in use on a farm 🤔 looking forward to the factory tour 👍

Great day out and the camera skills 👍
You can admire your handy work 👌
Would be a fascinating place to visit... 👍

I have been invited and cant wait to have a good nose around
The Mystery machine lol
4:14 I have that full set from back in the day. I pop the box open at times when I want a bit of nostalgia. Groovy! ☮
went there in 1988 and watched our new 7710 & 7910 built
Like Mucka said that paint job looks like something out of a Austin Powers Movie 😂😂

Love the 4000
Who left Saunders with the crayons again! 😆🤪
Sorry George 😊. Looks like you both had a bit of fun (and a laugh) at Basildon
Great video, love the 1000 series Fords but need beefy rears on, the high skinny stuff is not cool but have certainly it's place
They were never fitted with wide tyres in the UK apart from loader or industrial variants.
I hope they make a tractor model that resembles the old Fiat tractor this year.
Britains Toys and Siku Toys make the Fiats and Fiat New - Holland Tractors
I wish the anniversary model would be painted in the ford major colors. Ford blue frame, cab, everything, with white details
Takes me back to my Ford 8340 powerstar sle days, I think she was a 1997. I spent many hours sat in that old girl
Used to work c n h and test the hydraulic hoses before shipped down to basildon

George do they have a Ford 7810 silver jubilee in a section like a museum area?

Everythings one fith of the size it used to be!😢😅👍👍
just some boys fucking about, love to see it! i guess peace and love maaaaaaaaaan
Wasn't the 2000 the dexta and the 3000 the super dexta ?
Something like that yes.
Lads the 3000 was a super dexta the ford 2000 was a dexta 4000 was a Major and 5000 a super major

You're going to love parties when you eventually get invited to one... 🙄
Boring Grey would have been a great choice for a tractor celebrating 60 years👌
ill take ford over newholland anyday.
