How to fill out Form 1065 for the 2022 tax year. We have a simple example for an LLC taxed as a partnership that operates a landscaping and lawncare business. This is a two-partner LLC where both partners actively participate in running the business. The business claims 100% bonus depreciation on its fixed asset purchases during the year, and it also claims the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (Form 5884) & the Federal Fuel Tax Credit (Form 4136).

Thank you so much for this! I’ve been looking for instruction of this type since I’m new to business returns. I always benefit from a global perspective before reading IRC and getting into the nitty gritty.

Can anyone explain in a nutshell why the partnership debt basis is an increase to the partner basis? Since debt is usually a negative thing is confusing me.

Hi Jason, thanks for your helpful videos! Any chance you could do a walkthrough of the 1065 for a small online freelance writing business partnership who has a few 1099 contractors and no material goods sold - only services?

This is so helpful! Wish I had watched it earlier! Just a question. If partners A, B, and C share Profit 30/35/35 and Loss 0/50/50, and ordinary business income is negative, should they use Profit% or Loss% to allocate on K-1?
