Supreme Court Gives Clues in Huge Trump Eligibility Case

- WASHINGTON - The Supreme Court heard arguments Thursday morning in the landmark case against former President Donald Trump and whether he should be disqualified from seeking office in 2024.
At issue is whether Colorado's top court was correct in applying a post-Civil War provision of the Constitution to bump Trump off the ballot, after claiming his actions around the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol amounted to "insurrection".
After hearing arguments in the Trump vs. Anderson ballot case, the Supreme Court could rule at any time over whether the insurrection provision in the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment disqualifies the former president.

Even the Colorado Supreme court had 3 Democrat Judges/Justices voting no and it was 4/3 decision. Just one vote difference. Then you have other courts in other states tossing it out. It was a very simple case. I.e if one or two states could ban a candidate from an election that involved 50 states, then those couple of states could have the power to decide who wins, which would disenfranchise the voters in all the other states. It was a nonsense case.

Actually it opens the ability of any state to decide a person committed insurrection. So a red state could argue that Biden committed it by ignoring the border for example as willfully ignoring your duty is treasonous. So then battleground states if they have a right leaning entity that can make that decision would have the left crying foul. It’s an idiotic decision to ban someone
