Oh, so this is a half section. Very cool and break out a detail. They don't cover this in training. Thank you. Very helpful.

Not possible, you have to use a reference point in a 2nd view.

    Hi Walden.
Thanks for your interesting video. I have one question:
some user, instead proceed like you showed here, prefer to activate the expand option in the interested view, then make lines, then deactivate the expand option and finally proceed with the command break out.
Now, i'm trying to understand why they prefer to proceed like that instead use the sketch in view that is smore smart and easy to use and even to edit if needed.
    Do you have any idea?
There are pro/cons to prefer one to another method?
    Thanks again for sharing.

Sorry, I don´t know the method you´ve mentioned. What do you mean? Expand option?

    • @o0obixelo0o

@@wolfgang.walden.cad.training I mean that if you click RMB in an empty space inside a boundary view and select the expand command from the list, then in that view you can create curves to use with the break out command.
So this other method make 'embedded' in the view itself those curves.
Some use that method, some other ( like me ) use the sketch in view.
But i was trying to figure out if wich are pros/cons between these two different methods.

So your sketch might be not "in" the view. First you have to make the view the "active sketchview", then draw the sketch.
