In this interview Suzanne refers to one of her early songs from the 1980's "Ironbound"This is one of my personal favourites from that era. To me, it is a very comforting song, like a soft Lula-bye to a troubled child. I was going through a very difficult time in mylife at that point, and I found a lot of comfort from listening to that song. Anothercouple of songs I loved from then were "Night Vision" and "Small Blue Thing"
I've seen Suzanne perform twice "Live" and she is really good. I really enjoy her little anecdotes between songs, explaining to the audience how each song came about. She is a true professional, and is vastly underrated in the music industry which is a shame. Check out her in depth interview at the Montalvo Arts Center, on you-tube. She talks candidly about her life, and career as a singer/songwriter.
alewan I'm just glad that I was able to point a fellow fan of Suzanne's in the right direction. I hope you found it as informative as I did. Just a shame that the audience were inaudible.
Suzanne is brilliant. Saw her live in 2006. Perfect. She is consistently great and has been for decades.
"Often they don't even know about it." Her genius is in her subtlety!
this is a great interview as it draws things out of her
