Just so y'all know, I've been a fan of this series since 2007 and to see that they are going back to the roots with The Creed of Assassins has got to be the greatest news I've ever heard in my life. Even the references they showed in the trailer like the knocking down of the shop merchant area to slow down the guards, this is something you can do in AC1 with altair where you throw yourself through it, and the ring finger cut is also a classic from AC. AND HE'S ARAB!! BRO LIKE WHAT!! THAT'S SO HYPE I'M GONNA CRY.
I love how people are like "i'm so happy theyre going back to the roots" and we here stuck with a cinematic, some titles and no proof of this happening gameplaywise lol
The reason why Ezio didn’t have to cut off his ring finger isn’t because Leonardo upgraded the design, but because Altaïr upgraded the design when he had the apple of eden.
Ah I must have missed that detail - and the retrieval of the codex pages allowed Leonardo to basically create it in Altair's image, Actually didn't know that - makes sense with how much Altair explored the apple of eden in Revelations, how he knew many things from both the past and the future and that's also when he made the hidden gun to kill Abbas - which is also what Ezio uses thanks to Altair's knowledge. Very interesting actually, whole time I thought It was all Leonardo who used the codex pages to basically create these things for Ezio.
This trailer really hit sweet spots for long time AC fans, Levant vibes, Arabic atmosphere, Old Tenets, missing ring finger due to the ceremony to become The Hidden One. I've to admit that it's been a long time since I feel 'excited' for AC series and Mirage caress me softly and swiftly with hypes! ... BTW, I love that you point out the little tidbits in the trailer like Qur'an, arabic dialogue and Arabic's Calligraphy in the Symbol. Food for Thought surely make a hype much sweet and delicious!
As a persian and an arab, i love this game, it has both baghdad and alamut, the guy is named basim ibn ishaq, and the woman's name is roshan. It literally has everything i played ac1 for years ago.
Due to Mirage, I've been visiting a lot of arab and middle eastern fans reaction to it. It was somehow nice to hear proper pronunciation of Altair (an all those arabic names) in the sea of English "althere" pronunciation. If Origins is the "Hidden Ones" origin story, Mirage might be where "Hidden Ones -> Assassin Brotherhood" name change will take place.
The settings of this game is 100-200 years before the first crusade, Assassins are still called the Hidden Ones, that's why finger cutting is still applicable
Glad to be alive brother. I’m a Muslim and I’ve always leaned towards games based on Middle Eastern culture like the prince of Persia series and ac1. My second favourite games is the ezio trilogy. This trailer makes me cry everytime when the ezio theme plays.
Breh im arab (lebanese) as well so im glad its gonna be like AC1, but since its set in Baghdad they’re going to speak Iraqi I think whereas in AC1 I could understand what they were saying especially when they swore lmao
I know I'm late but the reason in lore for why they cut off their finger is because of tradition and need. Bayek, the creator of the assassin's, used a retractable Persian blade upside down on his wrist for a stealth take down. This resulted in him losing his ring finger, so assassin's until Ezio, had to cut off their finger before using it for a kill
YOOOOO !!!! HE LOOKS LIKE YOU 😱😱😱😱😱 This is Literally your trailer Alninio, Lets Hope they master game play we can always enjoy these cinematics. I Hope they make new and more cinematic Hope you're hyped and excited for this game bud cuz i am, BIG Time! Its a a Hue comeback to the roots as far as i can tell so far.
4:23 yes and no. In AC Origins (Egypt) when you die your heart is put on a scale with a feather if your heart is lighter you go to the Fields of Reeds if its heavier you do to the Duat (heaven & hell)
If I remember correctly, isn't Al Mualim's irl counterpart gave "medicine" to his initiates to help them fight without fear, and from that world came the word assassin. Same goes with the Order that created the Templar order and later called simply Templar.
I want to say where they where training is Masyf castle being built. I mean in AC revelations the opening cut scene the background fits perfectly. So it could possibly be Maysaf in winter. I know it's a long shot but the assassins have been around for a long time. I guess only time will tell.
just to let u all know original Assassins were Persians and their true castle was built in Alamoot in Qazvin province, and they are actually getting back to root mentioning the castle is in Alamoot not Masyaf. besies ur mentor is a Persian woman called Roshan
did you know that the masyaf castle is a real life castle It became famous as the stronghold from which Rashid ad-Din Sinan, known as the Old Man of the Mountain, ruled from 1166-1193. He was a leader of the Syrian branch of the Shia Nizari Isma'ili sect, also known as the Assassins, and a figure in the history of the Crusades.
I kind of fell off of Assassin's Creed (the Greek one was fun at least and I like RPGs so I wasn't mad at that). But this feels like, and hopefully is, that we're returning to Assassin's Creeds roots as far as story goes. Just my take. Oh wait you just said that in the video (replying while watching haha).

Who made these characters and the environment is awesome. Show the real features of Arabs and people of the Middle East, as well as the clothes and the real Arab culture in Baghdad. Unlike the shit we used to see in Disney and Hollywood movies. I refuse to give an Arab project to a European man...Look at Disney's live Aladdin movie. The British director mixed Indian, American and European culture with Arab culture... It was like watching clowns in a circus... This movie was a mess and yet the ignorant Western people loved it, because they themselves knew nothing of Arabs and the Middle East.

@Bon cade this is about 300 years before altair
@Bon cade sir Altair won’t be born for another 300ish years 😭
@Bon cade It was supposed to be a DLC of Valhalla. But it's a separate game now. Completely different engine and mechanics. No RPG elements.
@Bon cade no this is hidden ones period of time the order renamed later on when the first crusade was set in motion.

I don't hate Origins, I actually just started playing it today and its phenomenal.
It's been a long time since I was excited for an assassin's creed game... and yet here I am. Hyped outta my mind
Actually the character is Bassim, one character that we get to see in AC:Valhalla. This story is set 20 years before Valhalla.
that random ASSASINOOOOO , always get me brother

The monster thing at the end of the trailer is a Djinn.

Yeah the old hidden blade design required you to remove the finger really looking forward to this one haven't been a fan since origins
The last part the monster is supposed to be the djin
W Levant/Arabs. Missed this atmosphere so much.
There's still 2 hundred years till the actual Assassin exist so they are still called Hidden Ones.
I'm currently playing AC dawn of ragnarok and I can't wait for this game
