Just so y'all know, I've been a fan of this series since 2007 and to see that they are going back to the roots with The Creed of Assassins has got to be the greatest news I've ever heard in my life. Even the references they showed in the trailer like the knocking down of the shop merchant area to slow down the guards, this is something you can do in AC1 with altair where you throw yourself through it, and the ring finger cut is also a classic from AC. AND HE'S ARAB!! BRO LIKE WHAT!! THAT'S SO HYPE I'M GONNA CRY.
The reason why Ezio didn’t have to cut off his ring finger isn’t because Leonardo upgraded the design, but because Altaïr upgraded the design when he had the apple of eden.

I know you didn’t like Origins, but the ending and the hidden ones dlc is amazing.
The settings of this game is 100-200 years before the first crusade, Assassins are still called the Hidden Ones, that's why finger cutting is still applicable

Glad to be alive brother. I’m a Muslim and I’ve always leaned towards games based on Middle Eastern culture like the prince of Persia series and ac1. My second favourite games is the ezio trilogy. This trailer makes me cry everytime when the ezio theme plays.
The monster thing at the end of the trailer is a Djinn.
As a persian and an arab, i love this game, it has both baghdad and alamut, the guy is named basim ibn ishaq, and the woman's name is roshan. It literally has everything i played ac1 for years ago.
Actually the character is Bassim, one character that we get to see in AC:Valhalla. This story is set 20 years before Valhalla.

This trailer really hit sweet spots for long time AC fans, Levant vibes, Arabic atmosphere, Old Tenets, missing ring finger due to the ceremony to become The Hidden One. I've to admit that it's been a long time since I feel 'excited' for AC series and Mirage caress me softly and swiftly with hypes!

Due to Mirage, I've been visiting a lot of arab and middle eastern fans reaction to it. It was somehow nice to hear proper pronunciation of Altair (an all those arabic names) in the sea of English "althere" pronunciation.

I've been playing AC since I was 15 and now I'm almost 30. Crazy how the series went full circle.
