I live in California and I feel not even 10% of US pop. knows she exists, and I believe so. However, I feel she’s the best and once in a generation talent. I know she traveled to US, Canada & a lot of places in Middle East & Europe however she catered only to a very few people mostly Filipinos. She needs a big time promoter who will spend money for her advertisement, personal interviews on radio & TV and big concerts around US and once the audience heard her and captured their heart & attention, she will slowly but surely ascend to one of the top singing artists of the world. You must remember that almost all legendary singers started singing in bars, night clubs, casinos before becoming known to public, hitting billboard charts & sold out concerts! Publicly, one of the reasons she's not recognized is because she's humble&doesn't have drama like a regular western diva singer. A lot of new singers are popular because they have drama. A good example is Camilla Cabello who broke up from a group that I've already forgotten about. She has drama and dating someone else that's popular. Mori's been a very humble person that's very gracious to what's come to her and earned it. She didn't won the first place for Philippines Got Talent but still became successful in her career. There's only a few America Got Talent winners that are successful while the shows been going on for a couple of decades now&still going. So she knows and appreciates the hard work that she had done to achieve this level of success in the music industry. Maybe she needs better talent manager but that would mean she would lose her independence. Anyway she was featured in NYC Time Square's giant billboard over several weeks ago as one of Asia's rising global artists but so far there hasn't been any public appearances like in morning/daily talk shows that usually accompanies that level of public exposure.

If she were from US or UK, she would be doing world tours. I found Morissette through my following Marcelito Pomoy, because they did a duet together at the Wish Music Awards in the Phillipines. Marcelito was orphaned at age 8 and lived on the streets of the Philippines until he was 24. His jobs consisted of resetting bowling pins and tending chickens in a poultry processing plant for pay equivalent to 1 US dollar a day. He has no vocal or musical training. He learned to sing using karaoke machines which are everywhere in the Philippines. He entered Philippines Got Talent in the hopes of finding his birth family. On his second attempt, he won the competition in 2011. He has a 3rd grade education. He does not speak any language other than his native language of Tagalog. According to Morisette, that was just the beginning of many more setbacks from one competition to another. Unbelievable! With a voice like that, even better than the judges judging her....not making her win is really unfathomable. It is a real tragedy that this phenomenal voice is not a household name around the world. I reside down under and like you I did not know this girl existed until I stumbled across her on TH-cam. It is truly an injustice to this girls talent that she is not recognised by the international music industry. Rhett Lawrence a music producer from the States did briefly pursued Morissette back in 2018 but unfortunately not really knowing the reason why it didn’t work out. She’s truly one the best female vocalist in the world. It is quite sad that the world is missing out on something extraordinary.

The reasons could be as simple as, She's better than any artist in the U.S. today. And unfortunately for Morissette, here in the U.S. it's no longer about the voice or the character and morals of the artist, in this country. It's about an image that misguided kids flock to...the skantily dressed who sing vulgar lyrics!! Mori has been to the USA a few times but she has not had any TV coverage, it has been only Multimedia where she is the Queen, Mori has sung concerts in Australia, Canada, the US as always without TV, most asian countrys know Mori, she has done south Korea twice in 2017 and 18 singing in the asian song Festival, normaly you only do it once, this concert is televised which is great, you see Singers on TH-cam who can hold a note like JLO or Biber and many others who sadly are World famous only because they got good Management and a record contract with Sony or other big name firms, it's a shame that covid got in the way, but in that time Mori started to write her ohne music which is super, hoping that Mori will come to Europa in the next few years I want to see and hear Mori live.

If she were from US or UK, she would be doing world tours. I found Morissette through my following Marcelito Pomoy, because they did a duet together at the Wish Music Awards in the Phillipines. Marcelito was orphaned at age 8 and lived on the streets of the Philippines until he was 24. His jobs consisted of resetting bowling pins and tending chickens in a poultry processing plant for pay equivalent to 1 US dollar a day. He has no vocal or musical training. He learned to sing using karaoke machines which are everywhere in the Philippines. He entered Philippines Got Talent in the hopes of finding his birth family. On his second attempt, he won the competition in 2011. He has a 3rd grade education. He does not speak any language other than his native language of Tagalog. Apparently, he has the ability to reproduce whatever sound he hears. When he covers a song, he can reproduce English, Italian, Spanish, French, Chinese, etc. as if he speaks those languages naturally.

You were asking about her background, well, she started competing at age 9, and unfortunately, at that tender age, she already had her first taste of loss. According to Morisette, that was just the beginning of many more setbacks from one competition to another. Unbelievable! With a voice like that, even better than the judges judging her....not making her win is really unfathomable. And yet she never stopped opening new doors even when it seemed every opportunity that came her way quickly slipped away. Why? Because she knows with all her heart that her talent will rise up at the perfect time. You still have to hear more of her, in fact you will never get enough of her. She is the best, sorry, I may be biased because I am a Filipina, but yes, second to none...

Probably because she and her management doesn't push so much to sell her being amazing,above and beyond when it comes to singing unlike others who would do anything impossible just to be saleable as well as being on top of the world...but sometimes would result to depression if mismanage...it seems Moressette just want to showcase/share her talent to the world.entertain and makes people happy. earning money while being so popular and on top of the world is secondary "dats" just an opinion...i'm one of many who really,really want her to be align with d like's of her idol Mariah, Beyonce, and the likes..God Bless.

yes, Morissette should have been a household name in the mainstream around the world but has not 'yet'. It's because there are many other outside factors than just the singing talent making a singer a global superstar. She needs those to make it. Thanks to the internet she has been getting more appreciated, recognized and famous. However still far from the status where she is deserving. Only time can tell.

It is a real tragedy that this phenomenal voice is not a household name around the world. I reside down under and like you I did not know this girl existed until I stumbled across her on TH-cam. It is truly an injustice to this girls talent that she is not recognised by the international music industry.
Rhett Lawrence a music producer from the States did briefly pursued Morissette back in 2018 but unfortunately not really knowing the reason why it didn’t work out.
She’s truly one the best female vocalist in the world. It is quite sad that the world is missing out on something extraordinary.
An artist that can move an emotion with her singing voice. I dont know but it gives you that feeling of going extra mile like if you are going thru some downhill in life you keep rising up and don't give up, don't know maybe it's just me. With Mori, her belting notes are full, rounded, not strained and are pleasing to hear, her low tones, and middle tones are perfection. As you listen to more of her music, both covers and originals, you will realize (because it seems that you have not yet, as you are not mentioning them in your two reactions so far) that in addition to the beautiful tone in her voice, she is using some techniques that became her signature or trademarks, which other singers cannot. Why is she not world-famous? Why has she not received any of these Grammy, Emmy, and other major music awards? I think one of the reasons is because there is no big label name or big US recording company backing her up. Also she does not have exposure to US mainstream media like the TV, no interviews or appearances in major US talk shows, talent shows, etc. But in due time, perhaps, she will be given the break in the US, and then she will win these major music awards, and she will be world-renowned, because she deserves to be. I agree with you, She SHOULD be heard on every radio station across this globe!! And it baffles me as well as to why she isn't. The reasons could be as simple as, She's better than any artist in the U.S. today. And unfortunately for Morissette, here in the U.S. it's no longer about the voice or the character and morals of the artist, in this country. It's about an image that misguided kids flock to...the skantily dressed who sing vulgar lyrics!! It's what this generation of kids listen to and watch.To these kids, It's not about lyrics that mean anything. Today's music has also become more about the exterior of the artist. And they don't really want to hear beautiful voices that move them, make them feel inspired; make them truly listen to the beauty of the words that are being sung. It's about greedy music exes whose only goal is to make money and make someone into what they believe these kids want to hear. And most of those greedy execs don't even care if they can actually carry a tune. Simply put, Morissette doesn't fit the mold of any of those things. She IS a once in a lifetime phenomenon with an incredible voice, range and power and they'd be lucky to sign an artist of her caliber!!!

Mori has been to the USA a few times but she has not had any TV coverage, it has been only Multimedia where she is the Queen, Mori has sung concerts in Australia, Canada, the US as always without TV, most asian countrys know Mori, she has done south Korea twice in 2017 and 18 singing in the asian song Festival, normaly you only do it once, this concert is televised which is great, you see Singers on TH-cam who can hold a note like JLO or Biber and many others who sadly are World famous only because they got good Management and a record contract with Sony or other big name firms, it's a shame that covid got in the way, but in that time Mori started to write her ohne music which is super, hoping that Mori will come to Europa in the next few years I want to see and hear Mori live.

Her vocal agility is impressive, but also pay more attention to the GENUINE emotion she brings every time, and how accurately/flawlessly she is singing these songs LIVE. From there, I'd check out live performances with her band of songs from her EP 'Signature' that she co-wrote with her husband Dave Lamar. Unfortunately very few people in the US/UK know of Morissette. She recently signed with a new management company and hopefully they will have the vision and ability to move Morissette from a local phenomena to a global sensation. Time will tell.
