I don't think that they copied the design of the iphone, but it is clearly made to compete with it and it is certainly marketed to people that think that aluminium means "premium build". They even took out the feature of increasing the memory with a microSD, but at least you can still change your battery easily.

The only problem with this phone is the battery and that its not water proof... (Still better than the iphone 6 though)

If my iPhone ever fails me. I would definitely buy this phone. Your video was very descriptive and covered very important features. I like the power saver feature and the nano Sim.

I got one of these a few months ago and bought a s cover case for it. Man I wish I could go back in time to use this phone at it's fullest because I really love the design of it and it's kinda adorable
I love this phone very much☺😊☺,i am using from 1 year,no lag at all,this is the only phone in the world which we can type letters in the keyboard without touching the letters on the keyboard by enabling touch sensitivity feature (try hovering the finger above the letter which u want to type),proud to be a Samsung Galaxy Alpha owner

FYI all displays use subpixels in one form or another. Samsung uses a variation of the PenTile subpixel layout for their displays (rather than the more standard and better-looking RGB subpixel layout), which I think is what you mean rather than calling it a "subpixel display."

I know that everybody is complaining about this phone only having a metal frame but I actually help one of these in a shop today and I was surprised by how premium it felt - it really does work well when you see it in the flesh in my opinion. If I were looking for a new phone I think that this one would definitely be an option for me.

Just held this phone in my hands today at the ATT store and I think I found my next smartphone I'll be honest the 720 p screen looked fantastic and the phone feels just amazing in the hands

Coming fro iPhone to Android is a whole new world. I for sure want this phone because I invested in a school laptop, but I can also use an upgrade. I don' have the greatest budget I'll say that. But this phone is like $200. Very affordable smartphone. But it's all up to you really. I'm totally buying it.

A few on Amazon. Don't trust the eBay ones as they are mostly fake. There are a few on refurb phone sites as well.

sal lewis no, usually i have phones for 2 years but this phone has inly lasted me 1.5 due bad battery life (bought a new battery) and slowing down alot
just got this phone today on upgrade, and after having the iphone 4 and 5 im hooked to Samsung already. the stuff you can do on it compared to the iphone is unreal. light years ahead of apple

Yeah, bought it and returned it back for the S5. I liked the premium feel of it and it's small foot print compared the its Galaxy predecessor, but a smaller camera and battery, and not to mention pricing killed it for me.

Apple - Samsung - HTC who care ,{SAME SHIT} they probably buy all the parts for these phones from the same damn warehouse, and all you guys are fighting over which is better, I can imagine seeing the owners of these companies in a 5 star plus restaurant and bar drinking together laughing making jokes and bets on how many people will buy their phones instead of the other and the loser gets to pay for the drinks. whiles you people run out to buy these phones waiting on lines and can't even pay your credit card bill, rent or the phone bill.

I just think the typical Samsung design looks like dogshit... I'm an iPhone user but the HTC one is a lot nicer looking.
Everybody has a different approach, the Samsung is considerably lighter and more compact than similar metal phones. Plastic construction has it's benefits.
The iPhone 6 and One M8 are very similar constructions. But people like you are the reason the market is so diverse nowadays. A phone some people consider the highest end are considered by others to be "dogshit" and I think that's good for competitive pricing and innovation in both hardware and software.
At least samsung phones don't bend! Ha took apple like 8 years to make a phablet and it bends!

Second of all, look at the back. Does it looks anything like the iPhone???!!!! A dimpled back vs a smooth back. A big camera on the top centre vs a small camera on the top left corner. An LED flash which is bigger than the iPhone. The Samsung branding is both on the front and the back where the Apple branding is just at the back. And the metal bumper, does it really looks the exact same?? No more bumper on the 6 and 6 plus. But 5&5S bumper is just one whole equal shape where the Alpha bumper has some curves and some things sticking out. Metal vs Metal and plastic. Apple just uses one boring material. Its bullshit iCrap

love how i have this phone for 2/3 years, droped it 8 times with it droping facedown half of the time, washed the screen once and it still works... too bad that i hated it whenever it froze though
