Lambi Dehar mines is one of the most popular haunted places in Uttarakhand. Located at a distance of apprx 5 kilometres from Mussoorie, Lambi dehar mines is known for the Paranormal incidents that have occurred in the area. Locals believe that the could hear the voices coming out of the mines, also there are number of accidents that have occurred in the nearby road, also a helicopter crased near the mines. The place is belied be be a house of not one or two, but around fifty thousand ghosts. The history of the place dates back to the British times, when Britishers used to practice mining in this area. They used to dig the marbles and limestones from the area and export them to the world. The Indian labours were used for the mining process. People say that due to the dust involved in limestone mining, the labours very often used to get sick of various lung disease. Also, at times of heavy blasts and landslides the labours were often buried alive in the mines. To the excessive killings of poor and innocent Indian labours, the place became haunted and was late sealed by the Indian Government in 1990’s. Today the places is amongst the top Haunted places in thr Country. Visitors from all around the globe cone to visit the place. Also, one can stay at the place at night as a couple of Hikers have started a camping service, who provide a late night trek to the mines.

In recently went mussoorie and wasn't aware about this place. While going back we chose alternative route from mussoorie to dehradun and went nearby actual lambi dehar mines area (not office which is shown in the video)
We were scared to death. There was huge huge negativity surrounded by clouds. There was a weird silence and 0 visibility. Everyone felt something is there wali feeling. I stopped the car for few minutes because I wanted the go back mussorie but we came off 9-10 km already and it was impossible there to take u turn. There were no vehicles for many minutes and silence over there was spine chilling. My bro who was there with me was saying he is feeling smthing shakes inside stomach and I was feeling that in my thighs and all this when we were not aware about this haunted place.
My advice - go there in groups only and only in good weather

This was my father’s office before 1990. But cz of Supreme Court judgement these mines were shut down. It’s not haunted at all, rumours were spread by the locals to acquire the property.

Ok here are some logical questions which needs to be answered
1. 50,000 death ? Dude when bhopal gas tragedy happened 25,000 lost live , it was in the media but when you search records of mines you will never found any such article ( 50,000 death its a huge number )
2. They also said helicopter crashed here , where ?
Maybe it is haunted but reality is far more different .

British ne 1945 tak hi export kiya, uske baad india mai hi mines ka use kiya gya tha. UPSMDC in mines ko chla rha tha. 16 Dec 1986 mai supreme court ka order nikla tha to close this mine before dec 1996. But it was closed in 1995. Iska profit british ne hi nhi balki independent india ne bhi uthaya hai.
Also 250 Crores mai ya poori range jisme administrative block or actual mines hn vo bechi jaa rhi thi... Pr kisi reason ke chalte ye deal nhi huyi
I'm also making a documentary on this, if there's any person who have the photo or vidoe of the actual mining area or the blast cabin please share it with me.
And the twist point... British wanted to establish railway to carry these things, so it would be easy to transport from the hills. Also for tourist reason.
Try to get the site of the railway tunnel that was constructed in the Kimadi range.

Me n my frnd went to lambi dehar mines, first we were at the office n we felt nothing, it was absolutely normal, n thought of goin to actual mines but what happened is we by mistakenly took the route which reaches to the tip of the mountain, so the whole mountain we found was used for mining, but on our course of reaching there a weird laugh we heard n we literally were searching madly who was it, bcoz we were damn far from the office area of about 2kms n we even searched for down who is laughing but no one was there, n one thing i wanna say is be very careful of thorny leaves they might hurt u more than ghosts themselves, on our way we also collected some small stones of marble, they really look so magnificient
