  • Till Daylight Comes is my original composition for The Cue Tube tell the story challenge. The challenge is to score an original piece for the photo.
I had additional inspiration from a poem entitled Darkless by Gary Gene Linney. (poem can be found here www.poetrysoup...)
I'm in love with my post apocalyptic silence
I'm in lust with my darkless absence of violence
    My island
    My sun
    Mind on the run
Nightfall is storm before the calm
    The roof crumbles
    The outside screams blood
    My thoughts mutilated
    So kiss my bleeding mind
    And beat my stopping heart
Hold my love till daylight comes
For I never discovered you through the dark
You hit hard, you rape my heart
    Till softly we do part.
Thanks to the community at ‪@TheCueTube‬ for these challenges!

Love the raw, pure emotion! The strings really sound like the almost cry out through the image, especially in the middle. And the choir is really beautiful as well. Touching work! 😊
    Much love,
    Michael

Love the use of the cello, the slurs add to the emotion of sadness and despair. Great use of dynamics throughout. Love the strings, violin and then voices with piano. This builds to a great climax with a little hope amidst the sheer desperation which lingers. Very emotive music. Well done, it definitely moved me.
