Beautiful, I hope musicians nowadays use this kind of instruments. Instrument that bring peace to the soul and mind. Thanks for letting us be part of this beautiful and peaceful moment of yours. 🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏❤️🙏
Thank you for your generous comment. That feeling of peace and comfort is a big part of slack key for me as well. Even these up-tempo compositions have that feeling of coming home, I think. And of course, having one of the greatest slack key players of all time helps things along. Fran
I am nearly 70 now but my old hunting eyes haven't let me down yet- who noticed the mongoose sneeking across the grass in the background huh? The beautiful music and the glorious backdrop almost had me distracted. Thanks for all of it guys. Right up there with the lake vid.
We've had a few visitors catch the mongoose, I certainly didn't notice until they called my attention to it. That visit to the gorgeous Ho`omaluhia Garden was a wonderful example of things coming together just right. I've been back several times and have yet to recapture the magic. Fran
Just turned 75 and bought myself a new guitar (gave up the guitar several years ago and sold my Martin) so I could fulfill a life-long dream to play Hawaiian slack key guitar. Watching these videos is both inspiring and daunting. This music and the way you guys play is all the religion I need.
My family spent 7 wonderful years on Oahu, and we learned about the great love Hawaiian's have for music and 'Ohana. Slack Key guitar is truly one of the purest forms of musical expression. Mahalo for sharing your talent with the world. We will always treasure our time spent with you.
Really appreciate all the music you guys have posted. I listen to it when I am wiped out or tired or dragging slow and it helps me go. I find myself listening to it again in my mind during the day. Very positive and beautiful and helpful. Attitude changing. My respect.
Thanks for your comment, that was a terrific day in a beautiful location and so inspirational to play alongside the great slack key master that is Ledward Kaapana. Fran
I hope you get a chance to see Led perform live, it's really a great treat. His personality is totally engaging, he makes every concert seem like a backyard jam. Fran
