That would be fun, therapeutic, rewarding and exhausting in equal measure. I'm interested in seeing how you would reapply the coating on the impact sockets. Good job, man. 🤘

I think you could make the list of the Snap on sockets your missing then go through your Taiwan and craftsman sockets to see if you con plug your skips.
You can fill in with snap on as you can but it would be nice to have full sets even it they don’t match

@@PaulRozeboomsell all the complete socket sets and run the mixed sets for yourself. Posting mixed sets gets poor sales prices.

I would absolutely love the hours upon hours spent going through an old filled to the brim tool box

Oh my goodness! I bought a small roller full of misc tools/stuff that I sorted out. Then I was offered two 52" VERY full rollers at a great price, and they were even willing to load them into my truck for me. Just too much stuff to deal with. Paul, you have my utmost respect for tackling this!

When you finalize everything, do yourself a favor and do new drawer mats.

Enjoyed watching! One thing to help clean your rusty impacts is to use a drill with a socket bit and steel wool in one hand to clean the sockets on the drill. Then, wipe the sockets down with atf4 while using the drill. They'll look brand new! I did this to my old set. Also if you plan on selling any of the craftsman tools I'd be interested. I'm especially looking for a craftsman 3/8 drive 20mm 12 point socket. Looking forward to the rest of your videos.

You have at least 10k worth of sockets! What a great "steal" you got! Definitely gonna follow this!

Nice!!! really liked this video, i’m now subscribed! just my personal preference, but for me i really like the socket trays by hanson, they come in three and two row (three row for mid length sockets) and i also really like the olsa tools socket rails that come on the tray. just my opinion. they is also a lot of people who do the 3D printing, and they got really cool stuff for organizing extensions/ratchets.

All snap on impact sockets are rusty. Got new ones out of the box rusty. Where did you get an ultrasonic cleaner that big?

The sizes I use are always clean, the sizes I don’t use get really rusty. The oil from hands and automotive fluids seem to be the cure to the rust. When they sit idle they get really rusty really quick. My 20 year old snap on 1/2” impact sockets in 22,21, 19, 17, 14, and 12 are clean as a whistle. All the rest are red with rust.

Damn, when I lose a socket I just replace it with one socket to complete the set. I end up with mismatch sockets but I usually only have one set of each type of socket, like one set of deep 3/8 metric etc. This dude just would buy a whole other set and throw it in there. Rinse and repeat. Soooo many incomplete sets. Whatever the opposite of OCD is this guy had it.

Been following your Matco toolbox saga from the beginning and I think it's great. I have just about the same box as you have with lots of Tool Grid in it. If you like I can post a link to my toolbox tour it might give you some ideas. Let me know and I'll share the link here in the comments. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍

Yeah fine you organized it pretty good, but it was all for nothing because most of those sockets don't have a place to stay. Few times you use them they won't go to place. I suggest you to buy a foam and cut it for every socket

With how tool trucks work the guy probably bought sets on promotion that were incomplete to begin with. Tools trucks do that so you gotta buy more tools to complete the sets they give you the whole tray but gonna be missing a few sockets you can buy full complete sets but you gonna be paying a arm and leg
