She's one of those women who are striking on camera, but drop dead gorgeous in person. She stopped to talk to us kids on the pier, gave us hugs, and was so nice and humble to the people. TV where I am never aired Miss World for years. I didn't know the 1st runner up from Miss USA went on to win Miss World, then Alan Thicke! The pageant community seemed pretty small back in the day! She did have a beautiful evening gown.
I personally have always thought that the Miss World Pageant looked like it was run by a bunch of middle school students. The production has always been second rate at best. And I also don't understand what the actual winner is judged on to be named the winner.
I saw that too. I have no idea how Miss World is chosen and I have no clue as to why they do all of those special fast track events and how they affect the winner. The Miss World winners for the last several years have been jokes. China winning both times in China. This year to me it was between Brazil,Jamaica, Mexico and South Sudan.

Miss Mexico was in 2nd place during the peageant an Miss Brazil was in 9th place.But when they announced the top 7 Miss Brazil was qualified and Miss Mexico was eliminated! I didn´t understand.
