Thank you so much, Gaby! I really need to go back and revisit my past projects ! I actually really like the steampunk look and many of my friend got this one from me for Christmas that year. I actually got tiny metal gears to incorporate into my future steampunk projects, so thank you for reminding me how much I enjoyed making it. Hope you are having a wonderful summer, Gaby!
Once again another sucessful piece of jewelry made w/a different design! I was wondering if you had found resin yet to seal & add even more dimension to your art? Thanks!
Hi Betsy!! Thank you so much, my friend, for watching! I do not put resin on my steampunk pieces because I like to see the texture of all the pieces. I put polyurethane to seal them. You can get it in gloss or matte so the choice is yours. As for my resin covered pieces, I use Amazing Clear Cast Resin and I get it at Michaels with my 40% coupon with makes it a great deal.
I am using black Sculpey polymer clay which you can get on Amazon. The mica powders are also called pigment powders. The best known brands are Perfect Pearls Pigment Powder and Pearl Ex. I use both. They are also available at Amazon. Hope it helps and hope you will give it a try!
Hi There! I'm so sorry for such delayed reply. I just noticed your question. It is probably 1/4 of the inch thick. I form it with my hand for that particular pendant so each pendant is different
This design is amazing.
Love the steampunk look.
Thank you.
Thank you, Jane! I love steampunk as well. Actually I have another steampunk video coming out on the 30th, so look out for it!
I am just now watching this Joanna and I absolutely love the outcome of this. You rock with creating this pendant!! 👌🤩❤️

how thick is the clay piece
It's just a little just over 1/5 inch thick but it's entirely up to you how thick you want to make it! Enjoy it! It's was a great fun to make it!
