      @Blaze Taylor Thanks for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm.
      I see it takes a while so I will get back to you later with my results.

    I don't know how you're drawing, but all the videos are amazing. It helped me a lot. Thank you! Why don't we have teachers like you ? I would really enjoy school.

    What if I have two 2-bit binary numbers? 4 inputs and 3 outputs...

    i have a question for anyone that can help me. i'm a first year electrical and computer engineer student and i just don't know to what extent i have to know all this. am i supposed to remember how to draw a ripple adder or just know the function of it? i have found this subject very hard since day 1.

      That depends on what you want to do with your EE degree. If you want to work with FPGAs or design ASICs then, yes, you will need to know this but if you want to go into analog circuits then you won't need to know this at all. There is a vast middle ground where I think that for the most part, only the most basic concepts of digital logic are necessary. For example, knowing about propagation delay or that you could stick an OR gate into your circuit to combine two inputs is generally sufficient.

    Fantastic video! Can someone assist me though? In the carry save adder, what are the "D" inputs on the second row? Thanks!

    • @enderlord5347
      @enderlord5347 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Chris Person Those are just Inputs of another number. It Demonstrates that that the method can handle more than 3 numbers, as there are only three inputs for each of the CSAs at the top

      is

      +Harvey Challinor Carry-in is what is sent over from the previous adder. Carry out is what would be sent to the next adder from the current adder.
      Like when you do the problem 9 + 2 you would get 1 in the rightmost column but you would have to carry the 1 in order to get 11. When adding two binary strings, like 1 and 1. you would get 0 in the right most column but you would have to carry the 1 in order to get the binary sum 10. The carry-out would be the 1 you carry over which would be called the carry out of the current adder and the carry-in of the next adder.
