Yep, 10 years ago how time passes by so fast, as kid watching this back in 2012 I saw this in more of a horror/romance with beautiful music, but looking at it now. There was a lot more deeper meaning.

I love this anime, the feels at the end made me cry along with them when they said goodbye. At the very last minute she came back and made me just as happy as Teiichi did.
I felt real sad when she disappeared. I felt the ending was a bit overly happy for a show like this and how much the sad ending was built up. I was happy but at the sametime a bit disappointed.
Neurofied Yamato I also felt disappointed by the way it ended. I would have been MUCH happier if they would have ended the show after Yuuko's disappearance.

That would have been shitty for every character involved, not to mention making the entire "making Yuuko whole again" plot ultimately futile as it would lead to nothing but sadness and misery for everyone involved even AFTER putting the poor girl through the torture of remembering. Even having Teiichi commit suicide to be with her would be less depressing than that.

I didn't like this anime at the beginning because Yuuko was all "happy urepy yoropykunee" (yes, this is a motherfuckin' Jojo reference) and they didn't seem to get any information at all. It was after the part when Yuuko pushed Teiichi downstairs that shit got real for me, and the ending… I don't know… I wanted Yuuko to go to the afterlife and rest in peace but I didn't want her to leave Teiichi alone (ok, he still had Momoe and Kirie but you know what I mean)
I read the manga like 10 years ago.. was my most beloved manga but took a break from it all for years. Now i came back, watched the anime ans yet again I'm in tears. I feel so sorry for Yuuko. She was a kind soul with such a tragic story..

One of the best touchy feeling anime I've seen but was hobbled (I use this term in the fullest positive terms) by the limited funding that hamstrung the story to 12+1 OVA episodes. This should have been a 24 episode or at least 16 episode anime. There were a lot of plotlines that were sacrificed that would have enhanced the story even more. I've just began reading the manga and a certain scene aside from episode 12 was how Yuuko tragically ended in her present state really unnerved me. The cruelty of ignorance, desperation, hysteria and religious practices sadly does occur even now.
I finally got to watch this anime after a friend recommended it to me. Boy was it one of, if not the best one I’ve watched. It started out pretty comedic and awkward, but then as more lore was revealed about Yuuko, boy was I shocked. And in the end, that scene where they communicate to eachother through the notebook, that made me burst into tears nonstop. One of the best animes I’ve ever watched.

This is a diamond of anime, this anime made me smile like an idiot, made me fell kinda weird and made me cry .. this is a true love although in the ending i was really really .. happy, when she came back (like teiichi) . One of the saddest anime endings I’ve ever seen 😔 makes me remember the pain I went through after “Darling in the FranXX” ending. Both such great sad songs. This song definitely made me cry a lot while the scene was happening with her disappearing.
The only difference is that the darling in the franxx ending sucks... After episode 15 everything fell apart.. it lost its depth and potential.. i wish it ended at 15.. it would be perfect
