Episode Metal is A Total Conversion MOD for Sonic CD.
(Work in Progress: Currently 80% complete!!)

Metal Sonic replaces Sonic as a playable character with his own abilities, and Sonic becomes a boss fight. Amy Rose replaces Tails, has her own abilities, and must be unlocked if you don't have Tails unlocked already.
Metal Sonic and Amy Rose's Sprites are HOMEMADE by PicsAndPixels~, based on the Sonic CD original designs. I did the Mod Scripting, handled most of the Boss Sprites, Menus, Sound/Music edits, and NPC Interactions.
-- Characters:
Metal Sonic: Air Dash
Slightly lower speed than a normal run, so don't spam it (No homing, just an air dash). Metal also has specific rules on his Spindash and Peelout.
Amy Rose: Double Jump
Didn't want to just rely on Sonic Advance for a moveset. Amy exclusively uses the Sega CD version of the Spindash.
The goal was to create balanced characters that are based on their 16-bit incarnations (Which means no Pico Pico Hammer) and try to stick to simple, one button movesets, like Mighty and Ray have in Sonic Mania.
-- Other Changes & Progress:
The story interactions for Metal Sonic have been modified to suit his perspective. Amy treats him slightly differently than she does Sonic, and the Sonic Boss has been specifically tailored to work regardless of if you're playing as Metal or Amy. Egg Robo replaces Dr. Eggman's sprites (With attempts to keep the same level of charm to his animations).
Some music and sounds have been replaced with prototype variants. Other prototype elements will be integrated into future versions!
Metal Sonic and all elements of his campaign are completed, save for his special stage sprites, and Amy Rose is about 70% finished. (She turns into tails sometimes, but most of her sprites are done!)
The goal with v0.9 will be to finish Amy Rose. v1.0 will be final touch ups.

Fun Fact even though you all probably know it: The "Episode Metal" in the title is a reference to Sonic 4: Episode Metal, a bonus episode where you play through the S4e1 zones in reverse order (kinda) as Metal.
I would know, I got it on PS3 when I just got everything Sonic the Hedgehog.

ok guys,in this video im running the decompiled version,in the steam version it has homing attack like srb2 for metal sonic,and double jump for amy
for some reason this decompiled version dont run scripts
edit:it actually runs but u need the script folder

Its only a decompilation meaning its either not complete and some asstes are missing which as in the steam version has it

More of a really confused hug.
Ngl, the mod could have something interesting for Metal specifically when you play the game as him, having to set up the robot machines to create bad futures instead of good ones, same with the animal projectors (could have some use in gameplay too other than just being there, maybe give extra points or a life if you manage to find the spot and put it down or repair a broken one), would help on the imersion of you playing as the bad guy for once, still really cool mod.
Like,its so stupid to not have made metal playable,he only appears two times in the game he debuted,and we didnt even know what he was doing while we were playing sonic's history ,probably this tho

Just saw this, this is fucking dope yo! But only works with Sonic CD Steam doesnt it :( And that doesnt exist anymore, for now, they removed all those when Origins came out so people buy Origins and not the classics :( And I actually have A REAL SONIC CD DISC FOR PC, from like 1995, but it doesnt work on modern pc's, Ive not been able to play it since windows 98 lol! I use emulation :(

if u mean the mod,in the steam version just load it in the mod loader and be happy
the decompiled version u need to download the scripts fiolder at the same sonic cd folder,then create a a folder named mods,bring the mod to this folder,execute the game and load it in the built-in mod loader
