Hey I’m a university student studying 3d art currently doing my final project on Victorian architecture, if it possible can I ask if you’re in the industry and if I can message you for peer review or to answer some of my questions. Also I’m doing a dissertation atm so it’s would be amazing to talk with you if you are in the 3d industry
I started 3D modeling back in 2019, but after watching this video, I’ve realized just how much I still have to learn about 3D modeling! This is absolutely unreal! Wishing you plenty of patience and motivation to keep creating such incredibly detailed 3D work.
As someone who probably fits more into that category, this is more inspiring for me. Helps it involves one of my favorite subjects: history (especially ancient history).
In the book you reference, by Marder and Wilson Jones, the impact of Raphael on the interior was not inconsequential, especially in the aedicules. Originally they did not have the altar-like appearance they have now. The aedicule columns (the present ones are not original) would have stood on tall bases and the floor would have gone right to the edge of the rotunda curve. Inside at least some of the aedicules there was a niche in the back wall with a round base which presumably supported the statue of a divinity (cf Marder and Wilson Jones, p. 272, and figg. 9.8, 9.11, and 10.4). It was probably Raphael himself who altered the first one to make it his tomb, removing the round base, filling in the niche, and converting the open space between the bases of the columns to a closed socle with reused ancient marble, giving it the altar-like appearance we see today. Over the course of the sixteenth century, the rest of the aedicules were converted in imitation of Raphael's design. I was a little disappointed that this important detail was missed in this reconstruction.
I'm really rooting for this channel to blow up. You're so thorough and I love everything you do. Would really like to see more detailed tutorials in longer format. Keep creating!
I am an architect and visual artist from Chile. I have always been inspired to sketch and redraw plans and facades from buildings or homes that I find beautiful out here. This type of content inspires me to recreate and improve my modeling skills while learning and creating a sort of library for buildings that would otherwise go unnoticed. Beautiful work and congrats on the incredible attention to detail
I salute you, Sir. You are a true artist. Thank you for making this view into the past possible for all to see. I visited this magnificent building last year and I was in awe. You truly captured the essence of this wonder!
Your videos are an asset to architectural history. As a project I would recommend the Temple of Apollo at Didyma for it's unique plan and exquisite ornamentation ...that would be a treat because it was never completed in antiquity.
Absolutely wonderful. You made excellent decisions about which eras to restore and the result is stunning. Would it be possible for you to produce a sort of highly rendered walk through to simulate what it would have been like to walk inside through the front portico and look around?
Fantastic video! History, architecture, art and and 3d art all in one. Wow! I am so grateful to have visited the Pantheon couple of years ago. You have to stand in it and look up to really get how crazy impressive this building is.
I love your videos, amazing! I read that one of the most solid theory is that the Pantheon was not dedicated to Roman Gods (they already have their own temples in Rome). Each niche was dedicated to the gods of a different religion, from a different part of the Roman Empire, and each niche had its own priest. In this way merchants and travellers could attend to their own religion sacred functions, while in Rome.
The Master is at it again! The amount of research and accuracy you put into your projects is beyond inspiring and obviously a true labour of love. Congratulations on another astonishing project!
Absolute Wonderful work! The research you've gone through just for this reconstruciton is quite honestly astonishing, i can only praise such a work of art so much...
Amazing Work ! I had the chance to visit Rome a few years ago, and I'm so Happy to have seen the Pantheon and Coliseum of Rome. Thank you for this amazing reconstruction !
and oh boy was i right... i live here in rome 15 minutes to the centre and at least twice a month i go exploring all of these amazing structures, (on my bike, too). I just love how much this project dived into the interpretation of the original building, with very clear expleained history. i learned somethings that i didnt even know were a thing. congratulations, cant wait to see your next big project!!!
The idea of building the Pantheon in 3d would be daunting for me. You need a certain insane bravery to do it. :D Absolutely amazing work. (And for the record: columns with a square shaft protruding from a wall are called pilasters)
amazing work, it's interesting because being able to work off architectural plans makes the modeling process much easier (compared to designing a model from scratch i mean) but the amount and attention to detail is staggering, from the history to the materials to the mastery of Blender.
Very good job but one issue: in the central niche the statue should be gilded bronze and much larger than the marble apollo belvedere which is there- i believe there was a statue of jupiter there originally but I could be wrong.
Just stunning. Amazing work. As a history teacher, can I buy your model for educational purposes so I can make a 360-degree video of it for my students? This way they could stand in the pantheon with a VR headset and immerse themselves in its grandeur. Just showing pictures on a beamer just doesn't cut it.
This is a fantastic video, and i dont mean to be greedy, but surely, the finished model warrants more renders to show off the final product? Just as eyecandy. I also wouldn't mind a follow-up going more in-depth on the necessary compromises you had to make.
Fantastic work! I truly admire and appreciate your efforts. May I ask, what is your profession? Are you an art historian, an architect, or perhaps a passionate enthusiast of the Roman Empire?"
Excellent work. What application do you use, may I ask? Just a few thing: 1. The double pediment was a common fashion from the time of Augustus (you find it on his mausoleum) to Hadrian. The Pantheon did no "lose" its taller columns, but the double pediment was intentional. Otherwise, the second, higher one, would have been cheeseld off and left there to tell every body of "their failure". Theres no failure and no lost taller columns. Please do not repeat that modern canard. 2. The ceiling of the columned portio must have been flat broze with decoration. It would have hidden the rough stones and wooden roof above it from the view. That is what was melted down by the popes. 3 The columns in the portico were all the same grayish color. No red columns were there. The three that are there now at the corner, were brought in from other Roman buildings by the popes when that corner collapsed and the original columns were looted away
being an architect and a 3d artist, this was such a journey, so inspirational

If you’re not in the industry then dw about it lol
Beyond the 3d skill on display here, the writing for this video is so good. Great efficient use of technical vocabulary.

Watching your videos makes me feel indescribably inadequate, inferior and unworthy of saying I model 3D... and I love it, it is so inspirational! 😂
As someone who probably fits more into that category, this is more inspiring for me. Helps it involves one of my favorite subjects: history (especially ancient history).
I'm just waiting for him to recreate the entirety of ancient Rome at this point.
You're a genius dude...

a very informative video in every way.

This feels like a history documentary and a blender tutorial! I love your video's so much!

Remarkable! Many thanks!
this is a perfect video
I can't wait to watch this video tonight after a long day of work. Your work is so inspirational.
I salute you, Sir. You are a true artist. Thank you for making this view into the past possible for all to see.
I visited this magnificent building last year and I was in awe. You truly captured the essence of this wonder!
Great video! Finally, at least someone has adequately modeled this building.
The Internet was seriously lacking such a tutorial. Thank you!
Your videos are an asset to architectural history.

Astonishing as usual! Such an inspiration and an aim
Another masterclass video, thanks for getting us into the creation process. Pure awesomeness!
The most accurate architecture blender video I haveever seen , great mate nailed it
This in beautiful. I can't imagine myself doing all of this work to recreate such a building.
50 tons, those pillars sure are massive!
..you know what else is massive?
Not a low taper fade...
You are amazingly dedicated specialist and very intelligent entertaining narrator! Thank You very much for your huge work!
can't think of another 3D artist who's work I find as meaningful as yours. Bellissima
Simply incredible. I have no words, amazing work !
beside your 3d skills, I love your research!
Non è solo una lezione di blender, ma anche una lezione di storia dell'architettura. Complimenti!
Amazing work dude! 🙂
You are one of its kind of artist. Excellent work 🧡
Fantastic video! History, architecture, art and and 3d art all in one. Wow!

an absolute masterpiece of a video!!
You are by far the best blender artist in terms of recreation of ancient architecture. Really inspiring work man, loved the video.❤
Amazing work. Very inspirational!
I love your videos, amazing!

Phenomenal work, along with a historically informative narration. Bravo!
i still have to see the video and already know its gonna be a fantastic experience seeing you build this!!!!

I thought that in the end, you'd show us a video segment with your final product, including the blue, sky dome 😭
Congratulations, it was a great work. I have learned a lot from you, thank you for that.
This is one of the coolest videos I've ever seen, Incredible work
this is an insanely huge undertaking, i applaud you for all the heart and soul you put into this.
Nothing short of splendid work. Love the direction you took with the coloring of the dome concrete tiles and stars.
amazing as always!
the geo node mirror solution, never seen before.
this was crazy
Very nice work and a great result
Majestic!! Thanks for sharing!
very cool. i missed a cinematic, long and slow video through the work, so it looks life size.
The master strikes again!

This is art in its purest form! So surgical!😱🤯
Super informative video as always, you cover so many useful techniques. The result looks absolutely amazing!
I swear I was browsing your channel yesterday wondering when will you post a new video! you're such an inspiration! Great research and work.
this is so fucking cool! As a currently procrastinating 3D Environment artist this did in fact motivate me to open Blender and start working again
Incredible work!
Beautiful! I wish you would give it some proper lighting in the final showcase! Love your work!
Phenomenal work. Bravo!
Incredible work!!!
Very inspirational and fascinating
This is fantastic work and succinct presentation. I love to see the logical implementation of geometry nodes! Well done
“Wonderful, thank you for your effort.”
Very good job but one issue: in the central niche the statue should be gilded bronze and much larger than the marble apollo belvedere which is there- i believe there was a statue of jupiter there originally but I could be wrong.
This is incredible! I hope you do more builds like this in the future!
He's back! 😎
Please continue doing more of Ancient Rome!!
What an amazing and detailed work!
Finally!!!🎉 Thank you
Awesome work! Congrats ✌
I love your architecture videos. Thank you for sharing!! :)
Impressive as heck
Spectacular.
Great job.
You know when the update will be ready to download? I don't want to miss it
I created this in Revit....just the exterior though.....great job 😊

This is mind-blowing! Btw do you sell your models?
Fantastic work. I would’ve love to have seen a little more of the final render.
Fantastic effort
Amazing work!
WOW
Saw this video. Checked out the channel - instant sub!
Fantastic work! I truly admire and appreciate your efforts. May I ask, what is your profession? Are you an art historian, an architect, or perhaps a passionate enthusiast of the Roman Empire?"
Just last month I built a 3d printed custom pantheon model, nice coincidence 😅
Yo we should send him money to render a cinematic
True
Can you make a video where you would model a whole church, either orthodox or catholic?
Wow, this is amazing.
Is it possible to download the model? I would love to create a painting for my Italian home with that
Excellentos

👏👏👏👏
When do you plan to open a patreon account and provide training? :)
Correction for 0:31
It is "Marcus Agrippa, Luciī fīlius [. . .]" not "Marcus Agrippa, Lucius fīliī [. . .]"
hey, this is so awesome. Should i buy the pack now or wait for the updated version? Or is it two different packs?
Thank you! As you prefer, when you buy the pack you get access to future updates for free. So it doesn't really make a difference 👍
@hbitproject thank you very much!
You are God
amazing but it would be better if u went on details in many videos rather than compact one. thanks again
👍👏👏
