And earphones, and nail clippers, and sunblock, and multipurpose cream for mosquito bites and burns, some coins, powerbank, pen, notebook, pantyliner, small towel /handkerchief.. Omg... So many things I bring every time I travel. No wonder my handbag is soo heavy! Haha!
Ear buds or head phones are a must for me when I travel, which is fairly often for doctor appointment since I live with chronic conditions. I also always always always bring some kind of extra coat or flannel, planes are always chilly and restaraunts usually are too so it's nice to have something to keep me warm, it also looks cute tied around your waist!

My friend takes a change of clothes in the bag she takes onto the plane with her (just like a change of shirt and some leggings or a dress). Airlines have lost her bags before and so now she travels really prepared.

A lot of airports have water bottle filling stations with filtered water (past TSA) you can use to fill up your big bottle.
Hand sanitizer and hand cream are also useful :) plus earphones and some snacks.
