    Just watched your video on pinlock earplugs. I did have a pair of earplugs from ultimate hearing but lost one last year after a ride out. Just ordered a pair from Amazon £ 35 . Better than £85 .I enjoyed watching your videos. I did have a Suzuki v Strom Di 250. Was thinking about the 650 v Strom but to tall for me. I got a Honda NC 750x dct. Just got it then we went back into lockdown 2. Of out on her tomorrow. Getting same auxiliary lights fitting and center stand too. Ride safe see you in your next video.

      Yeah the good thing is they are not too expensive to replace. Been using the pinlocks for about 5 years, no complaints from me about them. Yeah the V-stroms are rather tall so I have a lower seat on mine. Is it one of the new shape NC750X's? Must say rather interested to ride one as they are meant to be lower. Typical isn't it ha ha. I got my himalayan a few weeks before but then had an issue so only managed about 400 miles before lockdown. Hope you enjoy the new bike. Ride Safe.

      My bike is a 2020 model. The new 2021 models are lower than my . Seat height on my bike is 830.new once 800. The Suzuki v Strom di 250 was 800. So I was able to flat foot and the ground. My new bike I had a lower kit fitting. Ride safe see you in your new video. Hope you get to test ride the new nc750x dct. You will enjoy it

    Great review Freddie, I've used them in the past and didn't have any issues, the box is a bit large for my liking though so I never took it with me, which is why I don't use them anymore as when you drop them you can't find them lol. I now use the smooth orange foam ones, and just bin it when it gets skanky, and if I drop one, they are easy to find, but also so much cheaper so can throw it away

      Thanks. Ah fair enough I’ve never noticed it but my kit has large pockets. Apart from my leathers then I do notice it. Ah that sounds ideal.

      @@AGardenShed :-) Even my Rukka gets too bulky for me with the pockets loaded, and doesn't have trouser pockets. I should leave the top-box on the V85 all the time, can keep an Aladdin's cave full of gear in that! :D

    I tried alpine and so many but get a lot of vibration in the ear. It was really uncomfortable and painful with custom ones and foam ones kept on falling out, thanks for tip, try these next!

    • @AGardenShed
      @AGardenShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah I found they kept falling out. I have never been able to use the foam ones. We used to have to wear them at work, they fell out after a minute so bought some ear defenders instead.

      @@AGardenShed the vibrations from the helmet really get me, any suggestions?

    • @AGardenShed
      @AGardenShed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vibrationsfrom the helmet? What do you mean? Do you mean buffeting or actual vibrations. If you mean actual vibrations I’d say first thing to do is make sure your helmet is the correct size because it should not vibrate.

      @@AGardenShed the harder fitted earplugs vibrate in my ear when they are in from the wind buffetingon the helmet. But with the new ones you recommended I tried it's much better

      @@quarkiepo ah they must have been in contact with the side of the helmet then. I like the Pinlocks as they sit inside your ear without a long prong sticking out. so they don’t catch when taking a helmet on or off.

    Hi there, I wear Alpine motosafe earplugs and they are the European equivalent of the pinlock one's. They are around the same price and perform perfectly for me.
    www.alpine.eu this is the site I found in an article in MCN. Ride safe and stay safe sir.

      Yeah I tried them I found they kept falling out couldn’t get a decent fit. Like I said different things work for different people depending on ear size.

      Alpine are good but unfortunately putting my helmet on pushes them farther into my ear (makes it very difficult to remove) or pulls them out, defeating the purpose of using them.
      Also good review
      Alpines only have doubled cones not triple coned like the pinlocks.

      I found they either pushed in further or got knocked out. So far no issues in four years of using the pinlocks.

      Unfortunatly not every video will please every person. Tried to make this more informative about the alternatives and how they stacked up in comparison.
