We have the same fruit shape of this egg fruit tree. In Sri Lanka, their egg fruits' shape are round... I took for granted this tree as a child. Our egg fruit tree is still standing in the mountain. But no house anymore. Abandoned for so long. Do you also have that blue fruit there? It is shaped oval and they are tiny. They are green when unripe and very blue when ripe. We call it "hawili" in my hometown but as I searched through the internet, I couldn't find any wild fruit like this and I think that wild fruit is only found in my hometown. I hope it will not go extinct.
