wouldn't it be funny if Moyes goes to Everton and keeps them in the Prem and we get relegated (which we could especially if the players don't take to Potter) but hope not ⚒⚽
Like you Russ I’m excited at what GP can do for us. I know that the WHU PR team have given him the same list of things to say that all players and coaches get when they join us - “long tradition at the club, supporters who know their stuff, the best academy, family, massive, etc” but I actually felt like he meant it when he said it and that he will make us better again. With so many teams exposed on set pieces I’d like to see JWP come back but with Forest looking at European football next season I think that ship may have sailed. Now GP needs the money to make it happen so let’s hope he gets what he wants, COYI ⚒️
The way he said it seemed really authentic. Mentioning the academy and the fans is one thing but actually praising the fanbase as knowledgeable and demanding and pointing out that this is going to be a driving force for him rather than feeling criticised was really refreshing. He seemed really open, positive and considerate in general. The more I've read and heard about him and from him, the more excited I get. Still need to remind me that it will take time to undo all the damage that Lopetegui has done to the team.
End of the day players have to take responsibility regardless, however I said months ago to people that I didn't think the players fancied Lopetegui in fact I thought it was clear as day. Something just didn't look right from the get go, even his interviews I could never really understand what he was waffling about it just felt like a load of gibberish to me. Potters 1st press conference today was like a breath of fresh air in comparison.
Russ sloppy was a pure Sullivan pick….he was out of work (no contract buyout) and had the most impressive resume….i would really like to know who was Tim’s legitimate #2 selection after Ruben
He’s probably not everyone’s ideal pick but I’m in the anyone must by default be better than loppy😂 he’s done some good work at other clubs no so much at Chelsea but let’s hope he can really get the best out of what he’s got at west ham. There’s some good material to work with he needs to get them playing with a bit of belief and understanding. I wish him luck if he does well we do well let’s go
I was looking at our new coaching setup, including Potter we now a mixture of English & Spanish speakers, I don’t know what other languages they can converse in, but it will be interesting how the tactics are put across and implemented.
Don't know if I would sum up excitement as to my feelings, Relief is probably my first feeling. Every transfer, every managerial appointment is a gamble to to a certain extent. What it has done though is rejuvenate my interest in the season as for the last 6 weeks I was no longer bothered what was happening, I was just resigned to heavy defeats.
GP knows there is pressure on him to get results but I don't think he will have the type of pressure he had at chelsea. I guess his target for the rest this season will be a good cup run and a top ten finish. If we get a couple of players in I think he will achieve this. I defo have a better feeling about GP appointment

A blinker with poor communication didn't do very well in the Premier League pressure cooker. Who could have seen that coming?
I am more excited thank the last 6 months, I bought a season ticket after not having one for three years under Moyes (poor football)

I feel so much better with the appointment of Potter . Our season begins today .
I said in Anton's show yesterday afternoon that your 'For sure' and 'focus' counters were dead but I am clearly wrong 🤣
Wasn't my first choice Russ but have a good feeling with him COYI ⚒️
From the Lopotegui error to the Graham Potter era ?
