okay but hear me out - the unknown god was in the right to confiscate the twins abilities. Were they not technically trespassing in celestia when they were not supposed to be there? Plus, the unknown god didn't kill them. She just removed their abilities. Perhaps she believed she was simply guarding celestia, and that they were there to do like bad stuff.
