I found Twigs when she was still an underground artist. Then Two Weeks dropped and it's history from there. It's been such a privilege to watch her grow as an artist and get the recognition that she deserves. What an amazing human being.

I'm loving the 80s esque graphics in those specific scenes contrasting with the more modern graphics and the 2010s esque janky camera effect. The aesthetics of this MV are so pretty and really capture the feelings she was aiming for.

FKA Twigs, this song has come at a time in my life, where I realized what self love is; and actually started performing self love. Starting with getting over a "guy who doesn't recognize the worth in himself." Your music is apart of my healing process. I thank you from the very bottom of my heart!!!
what i think about the mv :
the 80s-inspired shots are commercials, commercials of herself and at those parts she sings about all of her qualities and why the guy should date her. the atmosphere is also very dreamy and it’s capturing her ethereal aura. meanwhile, the shots in the nail salon are like a reality check with her friend saying that the guy was a waste of time and reminding twigs of her value.
i also think going to the nail salon here means taking care of yourself, healing yourself from that heartbreak and just pleasuring yourself and not giving a shit abt guys

Not only the makeup but the whole style with these exaggerated colors and yellow-blue-pink tones remind me of my childhood coz that's how women often were portrayed in 90s asian film + mv's.
