Srinagar Tulip Garden Tour || Tulip Festival 2024 || Kashmir Series || EP_03

This is Episode_03 of my Kashmir Trip.
I made TULIP FESTIVAL a separate episode only to justify the beauty and magnanimity of the place. It is unique in it's own character. Considering the efforts put to make this festival a success the span is really short. It may last even less than a month.
It is once called Siraj Bag now known as Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden, Srinagar is located between Zabarwan mountain range in north side and Dal lake on the southern side. The area of the garden is 30 hectares which is huge in size and it is thus Asia's Largest Tulip Garden.
The Garden was opened in 2007 to promote floriculture and tourism in Kashmir Valley. The objective was fulfilled since lots of tourists all over the world come to see this fascinating garden.
Initially the tulip bulb came brought from Kukenhof Tulip Garden in Amsterdam, Netherland. This year record 17 lac bulbs have been planted. Almost 73 species of tulips are grown here. Apart from tulips there are many other species of flowers are also grown in this garden like hyacinth, daffodils, roses etc.
