    Hey Peter, thank you for your awesome video. I just replaced my head gasket this week also. But I noticed the new head gasket is missing a coulant hole closed to timing chain area, lower left. Is that going to cause a heating problem, or was that a design fix from toyota?

      Yes it will

    agree, but if it broke in the first place the original can't be too good to begin with.

    Hay Peter, I pulled my cylinder head off and found a gap/burn in the gasket
    between the cylinders. When I looked down the cylinders and saw no cross
    hatching, do I need to hone them? Can I hone without taking out the
    pistons? I wasn't burning oil. Thanks

    Peter your video was very informing. I would like your advice. I had an overheating issue and i replaced my thermostat and then everything ok till now. My coolant is running low iam missing 300 ml in 200 km. Could it be a bad radiator cap or a bad head gasket? Also i placed my hand on the exhaust pipe and there was steam. Is it normal?

      what about the smoke coming out from the exhaust pipe is it white ?? if yes then your gasket is blown if not check your waterpump

    • @Gijerboo
      @Gijerboo 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ironpatriot6053 its not white. I just refill my radiator with coolant for the meanwhile

    Your sequence of head bolt removal is different from toyota manual. Not sure if it's significant, but they have specific sequence in which head bolts should be removed.

    Hi Peter. I have a E110 Corolla wagon and my rear smog light isn't working. The fuse is good, the bulb is fine and the switch and relay is working also. I think that there is no power coming to a connector for the bulb. Any ideas what could cause this problem. Terve Peter. Minulla on E110 Corolla wagon. Takasumuvalo ei toimi. Sulake, kytin, rele ja polttimo ovat kunnossa. Polttimon liittimelle ei tule jännitettä mikäli olen mitannut oikein. Veikkaisin että johdot ovat poikki jostain. Mitään ajatusta, että mistä kannattaisi katsoa? Kiitos.

      The timing chain marks when they line up on the 1NR-FE will be at 12 o'clock on both camshafts. You can't miss it because both coloured links on the timing chain and the little holes on the camshaft timing gear will be centred at the noon position ( I presume you're talking about setting cylinder one to top dead centre, compression stroke).
