Kai always tells a story with his dancing. He gets so immersed into the dance that viewers have no choice but to follow. In one of his older interviews he has stated that he had this desire to interpet everything into dancing. He would hear the rain falli or the hustle and bustle from the street and imagine how he could dance to these sounds. A true performer and a great artist in his everything.

I agree with what she said tens video was not the best of his capability, being ten biased there are numerous videos he portrays better in, but you could really see Kai and taemins passion in this video. I love how insightful and calculated she is. She doesn’t take her eyes off and saves her comments for the end to give a thoughtful response. I wanna see her in more videos!!!!
Yep Ten is capable of more. His legs weren't as busy as his arms comparing to Taemin and Kai who used them to illustrate the multiples beats of their own melodies. Ten did a wonderful job for a dream in a dream. His practice video is one of my favorite, displaying his talent for very fluid movement, strength, speed yet very precise yet loose movements. That's a hard combination that Kai and Taemin don't display that much even if they are capable of it too ( like practice vid of Want for Taemin and wkorea shoot for Kai with weird set of Gucci clothes lol).
I'm bipolar and Taemin's dance portrays exactly how I feel in those moment I'm going from the uncontained energy and ecstasy of Hypomania, to the frustration, anxiety and pure rage I feel before falling into depression. That short period of time where I'm reminded that at a pure level I'm unhinged and no matter how hard I try to control myself, I will have to let go (and take my meds). I know he's not bipolar, but he has been dealing with depression for several years. As a psychologist I would say mental health problems are a daily struggle that are more common than people think. As a patient I would say they are a personal hell that more than a struggle feels like a curse, but sometimes they give you back some genius in exchange of suffering. They make you expand your ability to feel emotions and pains that some people never have experienced. I believe Taemin has a certain range of sensibility just few true artists have and he's able to makes the audience connect with those kind of feelings. He's a genius.
Taemin danced transmitting me a feeling of anguish - anxiety with his way of moving especially in the final part and because I am not used to connecting with that type of strong emotions and it seemed to me wow that through a dance you can transmit that. I understand that a lot of people didn't like him maybe because of that, that doesn't take away my admiration for his body control because it's not easy to do that. The first time I saw the MV it left me with a strong impression... Taemin i mean.
It's about emotions and Taemin knows that very well. This time he connected me with another type of less classic and more atypical emotion that can be scary at first but what he does, tries or creates is still incredible. My favorite artist of all time. ♥️
Taemin's versatility. This type of dance requires a lot of control, which makes it quite heavy to the point of giving chills. but there are also many other amazing dances that he did like "flame of love", "just me and you". Pure Art. show her Taemin please. She will love it.
I absolutely appreciate this predebut teaser because Taemin came back to his root which is popping and locking. And Kai created a masterpiece within a day. He prepared a well-narrated 'story' in such short time

Each of the solo performances was self-choreographed with the intent to show off the talents of SuperM's 3 best dancers. It was designed to be a sort of special teaser preparing for SuperM's debut. And it's all teasing to a story that connects SuperM with EXO's storyline. Did you notice that at one point in Ten's dance he spelled his name with his body? When they say T-E-N. He makes the letters with his body. :D Ten is the soloist of NCT -- he is an amazing dancer and he has impressive vocals -- so SM has given him a lot of solo projects, including several solo MVs, and he is known for his freestyle dance videos. His skills are on par with Taemin and Kai. Ten's main dance style is hip-hop and popping combined with gymnastics training, but he is really good at pretty much every style of dance, including contemporary. Taemin actually started out as a self-taught popper and locker as his primary dance style. What you see him doing now is a little bit of every style which he has evolved into his own style over more than 13 years as a dancer. SM had originally intended for SHINee to be a hip-hop group, so Taemin started his training in more hip-hop style dances. So, he has a very solid background as a popper. But as you have seen, he has now incorporated a lot of the body isolation and ticking movements into his more contemporary, modern style of dancing. Over the years, Taemin's style of dance has evolved and now he has created a style that is all his own. That's why it's almost impossible to copy what he does, because it's so technically advanced and can't really be defined. :D There really are no words that accurately describe what makes Taemin such a legend. Taemin is almost exactly 6 months older than Kai. However, Taemin debuted 4 years before Kai. Ten is 2 years younger than Taemin and Kai and he debuted 8 year after Taemin and 4 years after Kai, so at this point Ten had only debuted 3 years before this. He is a lot newer in the industry, so his style is different than the more experienced senior artists, but no less impressive. I think one reason why Kai's form as a dancer is so good is because he originally started out as a jazz and ballet dancer. So he learned form and technique first before any other style of dance. That is why you can see such precision in his dancing. As a child he fell in love with dancing after seeing the Nutcracker and he told his parents that he wanted to do that. So, his whole fondation with dance began with ballet. Also, if you notice, at the beginning of Kai's dance it looks like he is trying to open a door. Kai means opening, as in the opening of a door or gateway, so this dance was created by Kai with that in mind. Kim JongIn's stage name is Kai because as EXO's center, his name is supposed to symbolize his role as the door or gateway in EXO's storyline -- that's also why he was given the superpower of teleportation because he is able to transport himself anywhere as if he is a door that connects all the EXO and SuperM members together, etc. Also something to note, is that SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua blue/green and NCT's fan color is green and, although EXO's fan color isn't red, red plays a big role within EXO's storyline (which represents the Red Force). Blue within EXO's storyline also is thought to represent when EXO has the upper hand and red shows when the Red Force has control. So the colors you see in this performance are, I think, a nod to their individual groups, as well as a part of SuperM's storyline. You will also see all 3 of these colors prominently featured in all of SuperM's teaser videos for each of the members and the group as well.
So, Kai may no longer be wearing his jacket at the end when it turns red because this was showing how the Red Force has gained control -- or maybe he was no longer EXO Kai, but instead, this was X-EXO Kai -- Kai's alterego clone which was created by the Red Force and introduced to us in EXO's "Obsession" MV. If you notice, when it switched to red Kai's choreo changed showing him falling down as if being pushed to the ground by an outside force, etc. which could be showing how he is fighting against the Red Force, trying to gain control. To understand why things are happen the way they do, when it comes to EXO/SuperM/NCT/WayV, you have to view it as part of the overall storyline within SM's Universe. It's all done to connect the pieces and to give clues to help explain EXO's/SuperM's story, etc. :D NCT's/WayV's whole concept revolves around dreams, dreaming or being in a dream state; EXO are aliens who have been sent to Earth to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces; and SuperM is supposed to be Avengers who are joining forces to help EXO take down the Red Force and restore peace to SM's Universe.

As with all the groups under SM Entertainment, their storylines and concepts are all part of SM's Universe, including aespa's storyline. And even the structure of the song and lyrics are strategically designed to tell that story. aespa's story, so far, primarily connects to EXO's and SuperM's storylines. I think SM has set it up so that at least all of their third generation groups -- and now even fourth gen. groups, with the introduction of aespa -- have storylines that connect, link together and intertwine. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connections between the groups. To help you start to understand aespa better as a group and to explain a little more about what is happening in their MVs, if you haven't already, you should watch aespa's "aespa 'ep1. Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released about 7 months ago right before their MV for "Next Level" was released. It's the first episode of aespa's drama and it explains in more detail about aespa's storyline. As with everything that SM does, aespa is much more than just a singing group. They have a whole story that is more like a movie or an epic novel and all their MVs and everything they do is connected. aespa is a four member girl group whose concept revolves around the fact that their name means "avatar experience" and each of the girls has an avatar character -- as you see with their animated characters and scenes -- so they also are superhero-like beings, just like EXO and the members of SuperM. Their avatars aren't exactly "virtual members," but they are virtual characters that represent each of the members in the digital realm. As part of aespa's concept, it is thought that anyone who does anything online has a virtual character that lives online that represents them -- everytime we do anything online we leave a piece of digital DNA which is what is used to create our digital selves or avatar. If you watch the video I suggested above, this will all become more clear and aespa's concept should make more sense. And just like EXO, the members of aespa all have their own powers and symbols that represent them: 💓Karina (Yoo JiMin) is the leader of the group, she is a main dancer and lead rapper: her symbol is a heart and her spirit animal is a whale. She is Korean. 🌕Giselle (Uchinaga Aeri) is the main rapper and a vocalist: her symbol is the moon and her spirit animal is a unicorn. She is Japanese. ⭐Winter (Kim MinJeong) is a lead dancer, lead vocalist and the visual of the group: her symbol is a star and her spirit animal is a Siberian Husky dog. She is Korean 🦋NingNing (Níng Yìzhuo) is the maknae and the main vocalist: her symbol is a butterfly and her spirit animal is a tiger. She is Chinese. In order to understand aespa's storyline, you really have to pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, because the lyrics help to explain aespa's concept and what is happening in their MVs. The Black Mamba (represented by the snake) they refer to in their songs is a dark force that stops them from connecting to their avatars. As the "Black Mamba" lyrics say, they "synk out," etc. and you see all the glitches happening. The aespa members are trying to overcome the Black Mamba and connect with their avatars again. The way I see it is, there are two dimensions: aespa in the real world and their avatars (Kwangya) world. Aespa are connected to their avatars and everything the aespa members do in real life gives power to their avatars. However, because of the Black Mamba's temptation, aespa and their avatars cannot connect through the SYNK app anymore, so their avatars become lost. In "Black Mamba" you see Ningning as she is searching through the Kwangya world on her computer trying to find their avatars. Ningning and the other members are lured into the Kwangya realm by the Black Mamba. But there seems to be some sort of crossover between realms as well. For example, in the train scene in "Black Mamba", aespa in the real world is also being overcome by the Black Mamba. Their world seems to be in ruins or being destroyed. In the last scene of "Black Mamba", the avatars seem to be drawn into aespa's real world and I think this is really the start of aespa's whole story. This is where they establish the fact that aspea, from now on, probably, will be spending a majority of their storyline fighting the Black Mamba alongside their avatars. I also see the train scene in "Black Mamba" as possibly being connected to the train scenes in SM's Universe storyline. I think that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see SHINee in an old train station in their recent comeback with their "Don't Call Me" MV and Baekhyun from EXO is on an old train in his most recent solo "Bambi" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." And before that we saw Key from SHINee in a subway train in his solo debut song "One of Those Nights." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. From what I know about how SM is constantly designing the story to connect between the groups, I am pretty sure this means that they are all connected. The MV for "Next Level" tells aespa's backstory and explains a lot of what we saw happening in their "Black Mamba," MV. I think in "Next Level" aespa is on a mission to try and stop the Black Mamba hacker and find their avatars in order to re-establish a connection. Fun fact: The song intentionally switches up in "Next Level" at that specific moment because, if you pay attention to the lyrics, it says "Naevis calling" which is referring to the fact that their avatars are summoning them to their Kwangya realm, so they teleport to the virtual realm (where everything is different) and then when the beat switches back to "Next Level" they are shown going back to the real world. Everything SM does, even the most minute detail, such as the structure of the song is done for a very specific reason. However, this is far from the first time SM has ever done mashups and had songs where it switches up the beat to a completely different song in the middle of the song. It started with songs like Girls' Generations "I Got A Boy," and they have done it with SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue & Note)", F(X) and Red Velvet and NCT/WayV songs, and even SuperM's song "One (Monster & Infinity)." It's a very signature SM style. The 5th animated character you see in "Savage" is Naevis who is the creator and designer of the Kwangya world -- kind of like the site administrator -- so that is why you see aespa say, "My naevis we love you" several times in the "Savage" lyrics, because they are thanking naevis for looking out for them, protecting them and doing all they can to prevent and eliminate the Black Mamba hacker. Which is why in the lyrics of "Next Level" they say, " My Naevis ... where you lead we follow," etc., because they trust Naevis to protect them from the Black Mamba and protect the virtual word, etc. I think in "Savage" aespa is under the Black Mamba hacker's control and they are gearing up to fight the Black Mamba in order to gain back control and to connect with their avatars once again. Often, when characters within SM MVs have blue eyes or different eye colors this usually is an indication that that person isn't themselves, i.e. they aren't who we think they are. It is thought to be used to show that they are a clone or alter ego, etc., under the control of an evil force. See the second part of my comment in my next reply. :D
@@polarpawsBorki Part 2: To understand how all of SM's groups are connected, you need to keep in mind that it all began with EXO's debut in 2012. As you know, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have been sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc. Some theories even believe that Red Velvet is connected to EXO's storyline. Some think that Red Velvet, EXO's sister group, could be the Red Force. And SuperM is the Kpop industry's very first supergroup which debuted in October 2019. Their concept and storyline is centered around the fact that they are Avenger-like superheros, so SuperM is the group that pretty much connects everything together. As part of EXO's story, Baekhyun and Kai -- who are members of EXO -- have recruited members from SM Entertainment's other male Kpop groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT and Ten and Lucas from WayV -- and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force. It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup. Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight. Theories have also speculated that NCT's/WayV's dream concept and storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state, which could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories. Now, to explain how aespa is connected to the story. aespa debuted in November 2020, and so far they have 3 MVs that are connected to their storyline. I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in "Next Level," you see aespa and their avatars with what looks like the mother tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. So, maybe the Tree of Life is what the Black Mamba is after. I think the Black Mamba maybe working with the Red Force, or it could be a separate evil being who also wants to find the Tree of Life and prevent peace from being restored in the Universe. As we are told in the intro of EXO's "Mama", the Tree of Life was split in half in order to prevent the Red Force from gaining control of the heart of the Tree of Life. However, things on Earth have gotten out of hand, so now EXO needs to reunite the two halves of the tree in order to restore peace. So, I think part of EXO's mission is they are on a quest to find aespa in order to reveal where the tree was hidden. aespa was first introduced to the world in a teaser at the end of SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV in 2020 -- about a week or so before aespa's debut. In the last scene of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, we see Taemin with an LG phone and on the phone screen there is a symbol that appears. At the time, when that MV was released, we had no idea what that meant. However, soon after that, we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is the logo/symbol for aespa. So, on top of being a teaser for aespa's debut, I think by making aespa a part of SuperM's MV, this was SM's way of establishing aespa's connection to SuperM's/EXO's storyline. Will aespa eventually join forces with EXO to defeat evil or will the Black Mamba gain control and cause aespa to team up with (Red Velvet?) and become members of the Red Force? We will just have to wait to see how SM connects the dots and draws the storylines together. But I have a feeling that, eventually, aespa's story will connect to SuperM's story, and, along the way, also EXO, NCT and Red Velvet's storyline, and maybe Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. (Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.) aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us.
@@polarpawsBorki Often in SM's MVs a butterfly represents the girl they are talking about in the song because like a butterfly she is beautiful and fragile and flits around in their lives, distracting them and tempting them and making them want to capture her and protect her, etc. Within EXO's storyline it is thought the girl or woman they always sing about or you even see in their MVs sometimes is supposed to be a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life and she is trying to keep the EXO members on track to make sure they stick to their mission and find the two halves of her physical "body" in order restore peace in the world. Which is why EXO is always trying to protect the girl or they sing about how they want and need the girl even though they know they might destroy her like in "Monster," or they talk about being obsessed with the girl such as in "Overdose" and "Obsession" etc. I think aespa has been made the guardians of the Tree of Life. When EXO divided the tree in half to protect it from the Red Force I think the two halves were given to aespa to hide away so that no one would be able to find it. We see aespa with their avatars next to what looks like could be the Tree of Life in their "Next Level" MV, so I think NingNing's butterfly could still be a representation of the heart of the Tree of Life which she has been entrusted with to protect, so the butterfly has now become a part o who she is and it has been adopted as a representation of herself as well. Sorry this is probably way more than you ever wanted to know, but I love discussing and debating these theories. LOL
Ten = fluidity and precision Taemin= aura, beat machine, technical (footwork,popping,facial expressions) Kai= mood, characterization, control, translating visualy music through his dance moves.
I find Ten's connection to dance to be the most intriguing to me but I respect her review of this video. I do agree that the other two shined more in this video in particular and I might add that it may be the years of experience in creating dance performances that Kai and Taemin have compared to Ten. Yes, Ten is also phenomenal right now, but give him the same number of years as the other two in the dance industry then we can see how that will impact him in the same way
As a Taemint/Shawol I can honestly say Taemins was my least favourite in terms of variety lol. Kai 1st and Ten 2nd but this is the beauty of perspective for sure.

I love all your guests cuz I always learn something new, actually I learn how to put into words what I have already felt. It’s the soul in Teamin’s dance that I am driven to. I have also watched Winter Olympics and the same goes with figure skating. I just get the feeling that I am watching something extraordinary, it happens when I start to feel every emotion through the movement. I like when performance is becoming an Art.
Pleasantly surprised.....I appreciated her delivery, tone, aura much more here than some of her previous videos. Feels as though she stayed true to her thoughts/persona but delivered them in a much more easily digestible way. Not sure if it was a conscious choice but I enjoyed her criticism and expertise here. Not only fellow idols who picks him everytime, but most dancers/choreographer who worked w kai & other top artist in the industry (including ones you see here) still stated kai is their no.1 pick eventually. About this topic I rather prefer to professionals rather getting swayed by the community. That's just me. You can have your own op but at the same time I don't need your op bc if you're not major in this topic then Idrc bout your preference. I love how kai interprete each songs differently. It's always fresh & new to me. His body lines are just so beautiful & he's tall as well. From ballet , jazz, contemporary, hip hop, etc . Put him in any style , he just gonna end up do it so well & stand out. His solo perf. 'Deep Breath' (2014) is just so legendary as it was something new & never seen in K-Pop before. Jazz dancing highlighted more on his intro perf. of 'Call Me Baby'(2015) , ' What is Love' (2011) etc. You want more contemporary then he got perf like 'Baby Don't Cry'(2015) , One & Only (2019) etc,. Not just yet, he also got those hard-core hiphop base more on perf like Confession (2019), Spoiler (2019) etc. But yes, whatever styles he do he'll still kept his root as ballet & jazz dancer wherever he goes bc that is his signiture. It's pretty fair to say he's actually the sharpest dancer I ever seen in K-Pop. Thanks to his dancing background, I respect that a lot.

Musicality isn't easy... Passion is harder... Taemin and Kai are of a different caliber. Ten is on his journey. *I swear Kai came in the bedroom slapped us on the derriere had his way and left.
I love to hear her point of view so much. As I already said in previous comments - she is not sugar-coating anything and it is serious feedback, not critique. I also don't take this as "she says it so it must be that way". I just really appreciate to hear her opinion. Keep going!

it wasn't ten's best performance i agree. but he is definitely just as good as taem and kai (i say this as a HUGE fan of taem and kai)... i'm sure everyone is gonna say this so i don't wanna go off but ten also LOVES dancing... but i understand why you said this. this is actually one of my favourite kai performances of all times, so i understand haha. but yes, i'd love for you to see some of ten's other performances (glad you liked lovely though!!)
Nah that is a little far fetched but kai and taemin and especially kai lead the dance industry in kpop. Ten still needs improvement more meaning to his moves and experience.

For me Taemin's part was the best one because it was so unique and so him, very few dancers are going to pick something so dark, chaotic, and not for everyone but so true to themselves. Ten and Kai are increadible dancers but their routine is a classic and very safe choice, is something that you probably saw million times in theater or ballet. I have never seen anything like Taemin put in those few seconds, many can dance like Ten or Kai, but to transmit what Taemin did requires more than a talent, it requires an artistic craziness to get out of the box and show what you know noone will have balls to do except you ❤❤❤
I always place Taemin first Kai second and Ten third as the best dancers in Kpop in my opinion BUT in this video i really think Ten shone above. Out of the three i really found Ten's part more entertaining sensual and expressive imo

Yes… everyone is entitled to their own opinions and it’s all good so here’s mine. When I first encountered EXO, as much as I love Kai and his dance skills he caught my attention for a minute, when I first encountered Shinee, sorry but Taemin did not call my attention at all and maybe its because I felt he was trying to hard to be like MJ instead of having his own style however when I first encountered WayV, Ten definitely caught my attention, it was refreshing and his dancing skills are different. I’ve studied Ten since then and he has balance, precision and goes with the flow of every beat and if you looked at the beginning of his dance, he created his own name with his body T E N even his fingers dance. Ten is a soul and an instrumental beat dancer. The reason I say this is because I’ve danced from ballroom to krumping and everything in between and I used to teach. My first student was not straight but became famous via vogue in the 80s New York. Ten youth facts: gymnastics, ballet, contemporary, freestyle, b-boy, hip hop, creates his own dance moves/styles and is double jointed etc. The only reason there was a delay with Ten was because of his vocals and now his dreams became a reality. Thats what I say ALL THE TIME. Your fave may be a great singer or dancer BUT can they emit the energy required to enthrall? The only way that can be done is through CONNECTION. Literally becoming one with the body of work OR piece of work. That's when it moves from work to ART. I'm engaged, YOU have my undivided attention. Every single miniscule detail im watching from the way that finger crooks to how you point that foot/toe. The goosebumps have been EVOKED. Kai and Taemin? Hands zown are doing it. I somehow as a Ten fan agree with her so much! Anyone can do a run, it's the way they do it that makes a difference. The way Ten executed this was more technical and delivered it with professionalism. That's his whole SuperM persona. Ten is my favorite dancer in the whole world (not just kpop) to watch, he is hypnotizing and his part was my fav in this video actually but I can see how the conveyance of emotions is not quite as immersive as the other two. But even with the other two routines being more immersive, i just didn't feel it as much. sometimes you don't wanna see passion as much you just wanna see something that suits your aesthetics. And I love that it's a totally different opinion and perspective for her and I!!!!
I feel like at this point Ten still is trying to figure out his own style. And I'v noticed Ten can work on his controls a bit better, so when he stops his movement it is clean. Emotions are build on techniques that is used at will, it will really help if he can control it better.
I appreciate her opinions as a dancer judging each performance based on their techniques and expressions. I agree with her comment on the previous video. I want to see their whole body if it's a dance-focused video.
I feel like Taemins dance was more cocky in how he displayed his skills. He just went full on popping and insane twitching. It wasn't a choreography as much as a showcase of his talent. Compared to kai who went full on emotion.

I really want to see her dance cuz she is never impressed and she has such a huge ego cuz she just makes a few good remark here and there but she always finds excuses to criticize th3 dance or the performer or the camera angle or whatever like she can do better so I really want to see her dance to see if she even good enough to judge because a lot judge ppl there not even close to in skill or dance so I want to see her dance because in every video she act like she is on Taemin,Kai or Jimin's level which am 100% sure she's not.

Ten is an excellent dancer, but it’s hard to put anyone next to Kai and Taemin without it seeming imbalanced. They’re both such exceptional dancers-imo, tied for the top dancer in the industry spot. You could already see it when they debuted, if not before.
if we're being objective about their technique, kai and taemin are not tied for the top dancer in the industry spot, not even close. you need to watch other dancers, i'd recommend watching the videos of the "k-pop dance deep dives" channel, it's very enlightening. that said they are very good and i'd argue some of the best performers in kpop

I liked Ten's the least as well. He had extra time but I dont think the choreography benefited from it. Great dancer, he's had much better performances though.
I get it. Like when I first watched it I liked Ten's part especially when he spells out his name with his body you can tell it is technically well thought out but I get emotional every time I see Kai's performance. Kai doesn't look like he's doing choreo it looks like the music is moving through his body which is why he is hitting each note/beat so fluidly. Then when you understand all the references he's making to the lore for Exo/solo career it truly is a mesmerizing performance. (i.e. the performance starting with him walking through a door and Kai means key/to open)
I agree, I've always felt that Ten's performance was not some of his best...not even in his top 10😉 As she said with the others you can feel that they're all in and feeling the performance, but it does feel like maybe Ten was concentrating more🤔 He usually transforms into whatever the song needs when he dances, but that's missing here. Maybe he was nervous.
he does transform!!! i agree so much that he wasn't into this one as much I think this whole SuperM persona was new to him and he hasn't quite eased into it yet! later on during the tour, I felt like he slowly found the right tone for his new facade as SuperM Ten and the tour fancams of his are INCREDIBLE to watch because he just knows exactly how to situate himself for different performances. Love that about him!
I actually do like ten's choreography? u can actually tell he had a lot of time to prepare for it. The other 2 seem less prepared especially kai's (i can gaps in the choreo and musicality. At times, the moves seems out of place). Taemin's piece seems better choreographed cos it was much shorter. It was smart on his end to not dance for a longer duration. Also, unlike taemkai, i can see that ten's piece lacks the punch. It was not as impactful cos for his choreo, his energy and strength remains constant throughout. It showcases more of his flow and groove which makes me love his part. Also, we should also consider that they didnt film at the same location (they had diff lightings etc). These conditions does affect the overall performance and when used effectively, enhances the video. In this case, it made kai's vid stand out more.
Well I actually disagree taemin choreo was improvised he literally makes moves out of thin air and talk about groove there is no groove like Taemin's if you had seen any Taemin's work you would know that he was literally called the popping boy before debut he also did contemporary in many of his videos and his original style is almost exactly as Michael and yes Taemin has done all that there isn't literally any style he hasn't done he is known as the master of dance for a reason as she said taemin just wanna dance so even if Taemin's part was longer I think he would have killed everyone else so sm tried to give ten longer so he can shine as he should because he also deserves it but Taemin nah just no one is at his level!!

Skills-wise, Ten outshined Taemin and Kai. The passion she was talking about, you would not be able to see it in Ten's 'cause the other two's music were more intense and passionate than his. Having said that, they were all really great dancers. Just saying.

In one of his older interviews he has stated that he had this desire to interpet everything into dancing. He would hear the rain falli or the hustle and bustle from the street and imagine how he could dance to these sounds.

Yep Ten is capable of more. His legs weren't as busy as his arms comparing to Taemin and Kai who used them to illustrate the multiples beats of their own melodies.
Ten did a wonderful job for a dream in a dream. His practice video is one of my favorite, displaying his talent for very fluid movement, strength, speed yet very precise yet loose movements. That's a hard combination that Kai and Taemin don't display that much even if they are capable of it too ( like practice vid of Want for Taemin and wkorea shoot for Kai with weird set of Gucci clothes lol).
I have it all clear. It's what I got from each of them:
- Ten relaxed me a lot.
- Taemin scared me so much.
- Kai disconcerted me.

Totally agree - it's the emotional connection. That is what first drew me to Kai and he continues to leave me in awe.
I'm bipolar and Taemin's dance portrays exactly how I feel in those moment I'm going from the uncontained energy and ecstasy of Hypomania, to the frustration, anxiety and pure rage I feel before falling into depression. That short period of time where I'm reminded that at a pure level I'm unhinged and no matter how hard I try to control myself, I will have to let go (and take my meds).
I know he's not bipolar, but he has been dealing with depression for several years. As a psychologist I would say mental health problems are a daily struggle that are more common than people think. As a patient I would say they are a personal hell that more than a struggle feels like a curse, but sometimes they give you back some genius in exchange of suffering. They make you expand your ability to feel emotions and pains that some people never have experienced. I believe Taemin has a certain range of sensibility just few true artists have and he's able to makes the audience connect with those kind of feelings. He's a genius.

Taemin danced transmitting me a feeling of anguish - anxiety with his way of moving especially in the final part and because I am not used to connecting with that type of strong emotions and it seemed to me wow that through a dance you can transmit that. I understand that a lot of people didn't like him maybe because of that, that doesn't take away my admiration for his body control because it's not easy to do that. The first time I saw the MV it left me with a strong impression... Taemin i mean.
My favorite part is Kai's part. ❤️💯 But they all did well.

Each of the solo performances was self-choreographed with the intent to show off the talents of SuperM's 3 best dancers.
It was designed to be a sort of special teaser preparing for SuperM's debut. And it's all teasing to a story that connects SuperM with EXO's storyline.
Did you notice that at one point in Ten's dance he spelled his name with his body? When they say T-E-N. He makes the letters with his body. :D Ten is the soloist of NCT -- he is an amazing dancer and he has impressive vocals -- so SM has given him a lot of solo projects, including several solo MVs, and he is known for his freestyle dance videos. His skills are on par with Taemin and Kai. Ten's main dance style is hip-hop and popping combined with gymnastics training, but he is really good at pretty much every style of dance, including contemporary.
Taemin actually started out as a self-taught popper and locker as his primary dance style. What you see him doing now is a little bit of every style which he has evolved into his own style over more than 13 years as a dancer. SM had originally intended for SHINee to be a hip-hop group, so Taemin started his training in more hip-hop style dances. So, he has a very solid background as a popper. But as you have seen, he has now incorporated a lot of the body isolation and ticking movements into his more contemporary, modern style of dancing. Over the years, Taemin's style of dance has evolved and now he has created a style that is all his own. That's why it's almost impossible to copy what he does, because it's so technically advanced and can't really be defined. :D There really are no words that accurately describe what makes Taemin such a legend.
Taemin is almost exactly 6 months older than Kai. However, Taemin debuted 4 years before Kai. Ten is 2 years younger than Taemin and Kai and he debuted 8 year after Taemin and 4 years after Kai, so at this point Ten had only debuted 3 years before this. He is a lot newer in the industry, so his style is different than the more experienced senior artists, but no less impressive.
I think one reason why Kai's form as a dancer is so good is because he originally started out as a jazz and ballet dancer. So he learned form and technique first before any other style of dance. That is why you can see such precision in his dancing. As a child he fell in love with dancing after seeing the Nutcracker and he told his parents that he wanted to do that. So, his whole fondation with dance began with ballet.
Also, if you notice, at the beginning of Kai's dance it looks like he is trying to open a door. Kai means opening, as in the opening of a door or gateway, so this dance was created by Kai with that in mind. Kim JongIn's stage name is Kai because as EXO's center, his name is supposed to symbolize his role as the door or gateway in EXO's storyline -- that's also why he was given the superpower of teleportation because he is able to transport himself anywhere as if he is a door that connects all the EXO and SuperM members together, etc.
Also something to note, is that SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua blue/green and NCT's fan color is green and, although EXO's fan color isn't red, red plays a big role within EXO's storyline (which represents the Red Force). Blue within EXO's storyline also is thought to represent when EXO has the upper hand and red shows when the Red Force has control. So the colors you see in this performance are, I think, a nod to their individual groups, as well as a part of SuperM's storyline. You will also see all 3 of these colors prominently featured in all of SuperM's teaser videos for each of the members and the group as well.
So, Kai may no longer be wearing his jacket at the end when it turns red because this was showing how the Red Force has gained control -- or maybe he was no longer EXO Kai, but instead, this was X-EXO Kai -- Kai's alterego clone which was created by the Red Force and introduced to us in EXO's "Obsession" MV. If you notice, when it switched to red Kai's choreo changed showing him falling down as if being pushed to the ground by an outside force, etc. which could be showing how he is fighting against the Red Force, trying to gain control.
To understand why things are happen the way they do, when it comes to EXO/SuperM/NCT/WayV, you have to view it as part of the overall storyline within SM's Universe. It's all done to connect the pieces and to give clues to help explain EXO's/SuperM's story, etc. :D NCT's/WayV's whole concept revolves around dreams, dreaming or being in a dream state; EXO are aliens who have been sent to Earth to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Forces; and SuperM is supposed to be Avengers who are joining forces to help EXO take down the Red Force and restore peace to SM's Universe.

As with all the groups under SM Entertainment, their storylines and concepts are all part of SM's Universe, including aespa's storyline. And even the structure of the song and lyrics are strategically designed to tell that story. aespa's story, so far, primarily connects to EXO's and SuperM's storylines. I think SM has set it up so that at least all of their third generation groups -- and now even fourth gen. groups, with the introduction of aespa -- have storylines that connect, link together and intertwine. Each group has their own individual storyline and concept, but when you put them all together there are threads of connections between the groups.
To help you start to understand aespa better as a group and to explain a little more about what is happening in their MVs, if you haven't already, you should watch aespa's "aespa 'ep1. Black Mamba' - SM Culture Universe" video that was released about 7 months ago right before their MV for "Next Level" was released. It's the first episode of aespa's drama and it explains in more detail about aespa's storyline.
As with everything that SM does, aespa is much more than just a singing group. They have a whole story that is more like a movie or an epic novel and all their MVs and everything they do is connected.
aespa is a four member girl group whose concept revolves around the fact that their name means "avatar experience" and each of the girls has an avatar character -- as you see with their animated characters and scenes -- so they also are superhero-like beings, just like EXO and the members of SuperM.
Their avatars aren't exactly "virtual members," but they are virtual characters that represent each of the members in the digital realm. As part of aespa's concept, it is thought that anyone who does anything online has a virtual character that lives online that represents them -- everytime we do anything online we leave a piece of digital DNA which is what is used to create our digital selves or avatar. If you watch the video I suggested above, this will all become more clear and aespa's concept should make more sense.
And just like EXO, the members of aespa all have their own powers and symbols that represent them:
💓Karina (Yoo JiMin) is the leader of the group, she is a main dancer and lead rapper: her symbol is a heart and her spirit animal is a whale. She is Korean.
🌕Giselle (Uchinaga Aeri) is the main rapper and a vocalist: her symbol is the moon and her spirit animal is a unicorn. She is Japanese.
⭐Winter (Kim MinJeong) is a lead dancer, lead vocalist and the visual of the group: her symbol is a star and her spirit animal is a Siberian Husky dog. She is Korean
🦋NingNing (Níng Yìzhuo) is the maknae and the main vocalist: her symbol is a butterfly and her spirit animal is a tiger. She is Chinese.
In order to understand aespa's storyline, you really have to pay attention to the lyrics of their songs, because the lyrics help to explain aespa's concept and what is happening in their MVs.
The Black Mamba (represented by the snake) they refer to in their songs is a dark force that stops them from connecting to their avatars. As the "Black Mamba" lyrics say, they "synk out," etc. and you see all the glitches happening. The aespa members are trying to overcome the Black Mamba and connect with their avatars again.
The way I see it is, there are two dimensions: aespa in the real world and their avatars (Kwangya) world. Aespa are connected to their avatars and everything the aespa members do in real life gives power to their avatars.
However, because of the Black Mamba's temptation, aespa and their avatars cannot connect through the SYNK app anymore, so their avatars become lost. In "Black Mamba" you see Ningning as she is searching through the Kwangya world on her computer trying to find their avatars. Ningning and the other members are lured into the Kwangya realm by the Black Mamba. But there seems to be some sort of crossover between realms as well. For example, in the train scene in "Black Mamba", aespa in the real world is also being overcome by the Black Mamba. Their world seems to be in ruins or being destroyed. In the last scene of "Black Mamba", the avatars seem to be drawn into aespa's real world and I think this is really the start of aespa's whole story. This is where they establish the fact that aspea, from now on, probably, will be spending a majority of their storyline fighting the Black Mamba alongside their avatars.
I also see the train scene in "Black Mamba" as possibly being connected to the train scenes in SM's Universe storyline. I think that the train theme is somehow connected to SuperM's/EXO's storyline, however, I am not sure how yet. All I know is that, we see SuperM in a subway train in their "100" MV, we see SHINee in an old train station in their recent comeback with their "Don't Call Me" MV and Baekhyun from EXO is on an old train in his most recent solo "Bambi" MV. We even see Kai on train tracks in his "Film: Kai" solo debut teaser video during his "Amnesia" section of the video and people on a subway train platform as it transitions to his song "Mmmh." And before that we saw Key from SHINee in a subway train in his solo debut song "One of Those Nights." And if we go back even further, you see EXO on train tracks in their "Love Me Right" MV and EXO-CBX (which Baekhyun is also a member of) on train tracks in their "Horololo" MV, etc. From what I know about how SM is constantly designing the story to connect between the groups, I am pretty sure this means that they are all connected.
The MV for "Next Level" tells aespa's backstory and explains a lot of what we saw happening in their "Black Mamba," MV. I think in "Next Level" aespa is on a mission to try and stop the Black Mamba hacker and find their avatars in order to re-establish a connection.
Fun fact: The song intentionally switches up in "Next Level" at that specific moment because, if you pay attention to the lyrics, it says "Naevis calling" which is referring to the fact that their avatars are summoning them to their Kwangya realm, so they teleport to the virtual realm (where everything is different) and then when the beat switches back to "Next Level" they are shown going back to the real world. Everything SM does, even the most minute detail, such as the structure of the song is done for a very specific reason.
However, this is far from the first time SM has ever done mashups and had songs where it switches up the beat to a completely different song in the middle of the song. It started with songs like Girls' Generations "I Got A Boy," and they have done it with SHINee's "Sherlock (Clue & Note)", F(X) and Red Velvet and NCT/WayV songs, and even SuperM's song "One (Monster & Infinity)." It's a very signature SM style.
The 5th animated character you see in "Savage" is Naevis who is the creator and designer of the Kwangya world -- kind of like the site administrator -- so that is why you see aespa say, "My naevis we love you" several times in the "Savage" lyrics, because they are thanking naevis for looking out for them, protecting them and doing all they can to prevent and eliminate the Black Mamba hacker. Which is why in the lyrics of "Next Level" they say, " My Naevis ... where you lead we follow," etc., because they trust Naevis to protect them from the Black Mamba and protect the virtual word, etc.
I think in "Savage" aespa is under the Black Mamba hacker's control and they are gearing up to fight the Black Mamba in order to gain back control and to connect with their avatars once again.
Often, when characters within SM MVs have blue eyes or different eye colors this usually is an indication that that person isn't themselves, i.e. they aren't who we think they are. It is thought to be used to show that they are a clone or alter ego, etc., under the control of an evil force.

As you know, EXO's concept is that they are aliens from Planet Exo who have been sent to Earth on a mission to find and protect the Tree of Life from the Red Force, while also trying to fix all the things that are going wrong in the world, which are believed to be caused by the Red Force. The Red Force is thought to be here on Earth inflicting their evil agenda -- corrupting humanity and causing all the bad things that are happening in the world, such as war, hate and destruction of the environment, etc. And because EXO is trying to undo and prevent the Red Force from accomplishing their goals, the Red Force is also trying to take down EXO by capturing them, corrupting them and standing in their way, etc.
Some theories even believe that Red Velvet is connected to EXO's storyline. Some think that Red Velvet, EXO's sister group, could be the Red Force.
And SuperM is the Kpop industry's very first supergroup which debuted in October 2019. Their concept and storyline is centered around the fact that they are Avenger-like superheros, so SuperM is the group that pretty much connects everything together. As part of EXO's story, Baekhyun and Kai -- who are members of EXO -- have recruited members from SM Entertainment's other male Kpop groups -- Taemin from SHINee, Taeyong and Mark from NCT and Ten and Lucas from WayV -- and formed SuperM, to help them battle the Red Force.
It is said that the concept for SuperM is supposed to be like the Avengers, so, I see it as each of the members are a different kind of superhero that make up the larger "Avengers" group, just like how the Marvel Avenger members come together from all walks of life with all different abilities and powers, etc. to make up one big supergroup.
Also, just like how the Marvel Avengers come together to combine their strengths and powers to help fight Thanos, I see parallels with what SM is doing with SuperM's storyline. SuperM is taking members from each group and joining forces to take down the Red Force. And just like how the movies "Avengers Identity War" and "Avengers Endgame" eventually had each of the Marvel Avengers members recruiting their whole crew to help in the fight, I think SM is setting it up so that all of its groups' members will eventually be brought into the fight.
Theories have also speculated that NCT's/WayV's dream concept and storyline also connects to EXO's storyline. As with everything NCT does, it all has to do with dreams, dreaming or something to do with being in a dream state, which could very easily connect to EXO's other world and other dimension theories.
Now, to explain how aespa is connected to the story. aespa debuted in November 2020, and so far they have 3 MVs that are connected to their storyline.
I am also starting to wonder if maybe aespa has something to do with the Tree of Life from EXO's storyline, because, in "Next Level," you see aespa and their avatars with what looks like the mother tree from the Hollywood movie "Avatar," so I wonder if maybe aespa were made the guardians of the Tree of Life, tasked with hiding the two halves of the tree. So, maybe the Tree of Life is what the Black Mamba is after.
I think the Black Mamba maybe working with the Red Force, or it could be a separate evil being who also wants to find the Tree of Life and prevent peace from being restored in the Universe.
As we are told in the intro of EXO's "Mama", the Tree of Life was split in half in order to prevent the Red Force from gaining control of the heart of the Tree of Life. However, things on Earth have gotten out of hand, so now EXO needs to reunite the two halves of the tree in order to restore peace. So, I think part of EXO's mission is they are on a quest to find aespa in order to reveal where the tree was hidden.
aespa was first introduced to the world in a teaser at the end of SuperM's "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV in 2020 -- about a week or so before aespa's debut. In the last scene of the "One (Monster & Infinity)" MV, we see Taemin with an LG phone and on the phone screen there is a symbol that appears. At the time, when that MV was released, we had no idea what that meant. However, soon after that, we discovered that the symbol you see on Taemin's phone -- ae -- is the logo/symbol for aespa. So, on top of being a teaser for aespa's debut, I think by making aespa a part of SuperM's MV, this was SM's way of establishing aespa's connection to SuperM's/EXO's storyline.
Will aespa eventually join forces with EXO to defeat evil or will the Black Mamba gain control and cause aespa to team up with (Red Velvet?) and become members of the Red Force? We will just have to wait to see how SM connects the dots and draws the storylines together. But I have a feeling that, eventually, aespa's story will connect to SuperM's story, and, along the way, also EXO, NCT and Red Velvet's storyline, and maybe Taemin's solo work, and possibly even SHINee. (Even though SHINee is part of the second generation in Kpop, the members are the same age as third generation group members, so they sort of bridge that gap between second and third generation.)
aespa's story is just another one of SM's epic concepts and mysteries that we will have to wait and see where it takes us.
@@polarpawsBorki Often in SM's MVs a butterfly represents the girl they are talking about in the song because like a butterfly she is beautiful and fragile and flits around in their lives, distracting them and tempting them and making them want to capture her and protect her, etc. Within EXO's storyline it is thought the girl or woman they always sing about or you even see in their MVs sometimes is supposed to be a manifestation of the heart of the Tree of Life and she is trying to keep the EXO members on track to make sure they stick to their mission and find the two halves of her physical "body" in order restore peace in the world. Which is why EXO is always trying to protect the girl or they sing about how they want and need the girl even though they know they might destroy her like in "Monster," or they talk about being obsessed with the girl such as in "Overdose" and "Obsession" etc.
I think aespa has been made the guardians of the Tree of Life. When EXO divided the tree in half to protect it from the Red Force I think the two halves were given to aespa to hide away so that no one would be able to find it. We see aespa with their avatars next to what looks like could be the Tree of Life in their "Next Level" MV, so I think NingNing's butterfly could still be a representation of the heart of the Tree of Life which she has been entrusted with to protect, so the butterfly has now become a part o who she is and it has been adopted as a representation of herself as well.

I find Ten's connection to dance to be the most intriguing to me but I respect her review of this video. I do agree that the other two shined more in this video in particular and I might add that it may be the years of experience in creating dance performances that Kai and Taemin have compared to Ten. Yes, Ten is also phenomenal right now, but give him the same number of years as the other two in the dance industry then we can see how that will impact him in the same way
As a Taemint/Shawol I can honestly say Taemins was my least favourite in terms of variety lol. Kai 1st and Ten 2nd but this is the beauty of perspective for sure.

I love how kai interprete each songs differently. It's always fresh & new to me. His body lines are just so beautiful & he's tall as well. From ballet , jazz, contemporary, hip hop, etc . Put him in any style , he just gonna end up do it so well & stand out. His solo perf. 'Deep Breath' (2014) is just so legendary as it was something new & never seen in K-Pop before. Jazz dancing highlighted more on his intro perf. of 'Call Me Baby'(2015) , ' What is Love' (2011) etc. You want more contemporary then he got perf like 'Baby Don't Cry'(2015) , One & Only (2019) etc,. Not just yet, he also got those hard-core hiphop base more on perf like Confession (2019), Spoiler (2019) etc. But yes, whatever styles he do he'll still kept his root as ballet & jazz dancer wherever he goes bc that is his signiture. It's pretty fair to say he's actually the sharpest dancer I ever seen in K-Pop. Thanks to his dancing background, I respect that a lot.

The opinion of a professional will always be considered constructive criticism, the three are great dancers and he considered that the fluidity of the transitions of Taemin's movements in that fleeting moment 3:40 shows the 13 years of artistic experience being called the Korean Michael Jackson.
Musicality isn't easy... Passion is harder... Taemin and Kai are of a different caliber. Ten is on his journey.

it wasn't ten's best performance i agree. but he is definitely just as good as taem and kai (i say this as a HUGE fan of taem and kai)... i'm sure everyone is gonna say this so i don't wanna go off but ten also LOVES dancing... but i understand why you said this. this is actually one of my favourite kai performances of all times, so i understand haha. but yes, i'd love for you to see some of ten's other performances (glad you liked lovely though!!)

For me Taemin's part was the best one because it was so unique and so him, very few dancers are going to pick something so dark, chaotic, and not for everyone but so true to themselves. Ten and Kai are increadible dancers but their routine is a classic and very safe choice, is something that you probably saw million times in theater or ballet. I have never seen anything like Taemin put in those few seconds, many can dance like Ten or Kai, but to transmit what Taemin did requires more than a talent, it requires an artistic craziness to get out of the box and show what you know noone will have balls to do except you ❤❤❤
I always place Taemin first Kai second and Ten third as the best dancers in Kpop in my opinion BUT in this video i really think Ten shone above. Out of the three i really found Ten's part more entertaining sensual and expressive imo

Yes… everyone is entitled to their own opinions and it’s all good so here’s mine. When I first encountered EXO, as much as I love Kai and his dance skills he caught my attention for a minute, when I first encountered Shinee, sorry but Taemin did not call my attention at all and maybe its because I felt he was trying to hard to be like MJ instead of having his own style however when I first encountered WayV, Ten definitely caught my attention, it was refreshing and his dancing skills are different. I’ve studied Ten since then and he has balance, precision and goes with the flow of every beat and if you looked at the beginning of his dance, he created his own name with his body T E N even his fingers dance. Ten is a soul and an instrumental beat dancer. The reason I say this is because I’ve danced from ballroom to krumping and everything in between and I used to teach. My first student was not straight but became famous via vogue in the 80s New York. Ten youth facts: gymnastics, ballet, contemporary, freestyle, b-boy, hip hop, creates his own dance moves/styles and is double jointed etc. The only reason there was a delay with Ten was because of his vocals and now his dreams became a reality. Literally becoming one with the body of work OR piece of work. That's when it moves from work to ART. I'm engaged, YOU have my undivided attention. I somehow as a Ten fan agree with her so much! Anyone can do a run, it's the way they do it that makes a difference. The way Ten executed this was more technical and delivered it with professionalism. That's his whole SuperM persona. Ten is my favorite dancer in the whole world (not just kpop) to watch, he is hypnotizing and his part was my fav in this video actually but I can see how the conveyance of emotions is not quite as immersive as the other two. But even with the other two routines being more immersive, i just didn't feel it as much. sometimes you don't wanna see passion as much you just wanna see something that suits your aesthetics. And I love that it's a totally different opinion and perspective for her and I!!!!
I feel like at this point Ten still is trying to figure out his own style. And I'v noticed Ten can work on his controls a bit better, so when he stops his movement it is clean. Emotions are build on techniques that is used at will, it will really help if he can control it better.

I feel like Taemins dance was more cocky in how he displayed his skills. He just went full on popping and insane twitching. It wasn't a choreography as much as a showcase of his talent. Compared to kai who went full on emotion.

Ten is an excellent dancer, but it’s hard to put anyone next to Kai and Taemin without it seeming imbalanced. They’re both such exceptional dancers-imo, tied for the top dancer in the industry spot. You could already see it when they debuted, if not before.
if we're being objective about their technique, kai and taemin are not tied for the top dancer in the industry spot, not even close. you need to watch other dancers, i'd recommend watching the videos of the "k-pop dance deep dives" channel, it's very enlightening. that said they are very good and i'd argue some of the best performers in kpop

@@FairyAl I promise you no one is touching Kai and taemin. There are close seconds, but no one is better than them. Every single best dancer rating from professionals includes them two in the top 3 so do what you will with that info.
This was 100% not Tens best work. He has much better work out there.
I liked Ten's the least as well. He had extra time but I dont think the choreography benefited from it. Great dancer, he's had much better performances though.
I get it. Like when I first watched it I liked Ten's part especially when he spells out his name with his body you can tell it is technically well thought out but I get emotional every time I see Kai's performance. Kai doesn't look like he's doing choreo it looks like the music is moving through his body which is why he is hitting each note/beat so fluidly. Then when you understand all the references he's making to the lore for Exo/solo career it truly is a mesmerizing performance. (i.e. the performance starting with him walking through a door and Kai means key/to open)
I agree, I've always felt that Ten's performance was not some of his best...not even in his top 10😉 As she said with the others you can feel that they're all in and feeling the performance, but it does feel like maybe Ten was concentrating more🤔 He usually transforms into whatever the song needs when he dances, but that's missing here. Maybe he was nervous.
he does transform!!! i agree so much that he wasn't into this one as much I think this whole SuperM persona was new to him and he hasn't quite eased into it yet! later on during the tour, I felt like he slowly found the right tone for his new facade as SuperM Ten and the tour fancams of his are INCREDIBLE to watch because he just knows exactly how to situate himself for different performances. Love that about him!
Omg! I agree 100%. No apologies needed. I love all 3 of them, but Taemin and Kai are Veterans!
I actually do like ten's choreography? u can actually tell he had a lot of time to prepare for it. The other 2 seem less prepared especially kai's (i can gaps in the choreo and musicality. At times, the moves seems out of place). Taemin's piece seems better choreographed cos it was much shorter. It was smart on his end to not dance for a longer duration. Also, unlike taemkai, i can see that ten's piece lacks the punch. It was not as impactful cos for his choreo, his energy and strength remains constant throughout. It showcases more of his flow and groove which makes me love his part.
Also, we should also consider that they didnt film at the same location (they had diff lightings etc). These conditions does affect the overall performance and when used effectively, enhances the video. In this case, it made kai's vid stand out more.
Well I actually disagree taemin choreo was improvised he literally makes moves out of thin air and talk about groove there is no groove like Taemin's if you had seen any Taemin's work you would know that he was literally called the popping boy before debut he also did contemporary in many of his videos and his original style is almost exactly as Michael and yes Taemin has done all that there isn't literally any style he hasn't done he is known as the master of dance for a reason as she said taemin just wanna dance so even if Taemin's part was longer I think he would have killed everyone else so sm tried to give ten longer so he can shine as he should because he also deserves it but Taemin nah just no one is at his level!!

@@ohnimevol-9480 and I am saying all choreos were improvised ten chose this way of dancing he wasn't forced and yes I am a big fan of ten but truth is I was mad that they had short taemin part at first but then when I saw reactions of dancers and people on this video everybody was praising taemin that's how u make an impression but yeah ten is good but his ability is nowhere near Taemin's by the way what I wanted to point out in your comment that there was no choreo everybody improvised their own dance and yes ten's music wasn't powerful but even in normal performances ten always seems to be more focus on groove and hardly hits hard popping and locking steps! But I understand no one can pop like taemin as he has been doing it long before all these groups were born! The reason I got mad is that you though taekai were less prepared taemin is always prepared and yes he never even needs preparation as you can see like the little move he does with his finger rolling he just creates moves like these on spot and just knows so yes he is never less prepared

Kai was literally figuring out the choreo with sm's inhouse choreographer till the day itself lol im not even comparing their actual skills levels in my og comments. I talk about other factors which affects their performance (e.g. time, location, lightings)

Skills-wise, Ten outshined Taemin and Kai. The passion she was talking about, you would not be able to see it in Ten's 'cause the other two's music were more intense and passionate than his. Having said that, they were all really great dancers. Just saying.
