So the way time travel in endgame works is different from most versions in other movies, no matter what they do in the past, it doesn't affect them in the present so that's why killing baby thanos wouldn't work in their present timeline, all it would do is create a new timeline where thanos is dead
i wonder if somehow lokis experiences in this timeline will cause him to survive infinity war and make it so he deceives everyone into thinking he was killed and comes back in the main timeline during phase four.
so like basically he learns of his fate in infinity war and decides to cast an illusion of his dying to avoid death. he then continues on the adventures we see happen in the thor movies but does his plan when the time comes. meaning his death was an illusion and he can come back in a future film.

I think the reason why Loki grabbing the Tesseract caused bigger problems than, say, Thanos and his armor disappearing from one timeline, is that this action involved an Infinity Stone that as of now hasn't been returned to its proper place in the timeline.
Believe it or not the trailer gets better the more times viewed, and it makes me question what will happen and all the time effect from the other movies like these guys did, and I enjoy it cause I have theories and questions which I love
My theory is the time-travel mechanic in Endgame is that they copy their own timeline's time period then go there. Three copies would then be made: Asgard, Earth, Space. Because Loki stole the Tesseract, Tony and Cap had to go to another time period, making another copy. After all that, when they have to return the stones, the copies are now restored to normal, except for the one where Loki took the Tesseract. This would explain how the timeline of Cap and Tony taking the Tesseract doesn't affect 2012 New York battle timeline. They could also probably return to the copied time period evidenced by Cap returning them

Which is what we're gonna be seeing The 2014 Thanos is GONE completely, so it's gonna be weird in the other timeline since they have no BIG bad. And Cap's timeline since he stayed with Peggy. You can find set photos of her in that exact costume, and they could be sitting together at the end of time as everything collapses onto itself.

Time Variance Authority, in the comics, was created to prevent as many House of M level events from happening in the Multiverse as Possible, BUT fail to do so when Nexus Beings (Like Nexus-Loki land Wanda Maximoff) are involved because they are too powerful. In the comics, a Nexus-Loki (who is also a variant Loki, like in the show,) becomes an Avenger too, in a way, and gains their (will explain pronoun use in a second) old shapeshifting powers (as seen in Thor 2) back, instead of just using illusions (as seen in Thor 1 & 3) AND retconning themself as the original Loki, of which the others, (all the strictly male ones,) are just variants. The Nexus-Loki (the Current 616 Loki) Uses ALL Pronouns, has three different primary forms, (Male, Female, Androgenous) all of whom use different pronouns. The pronouns other people use for Loki change when they (Loki) change which base form they use, and it happens on a subconscious level as though it had always been so. So, when Loki changes to Female Base, the Universe starts using She/Her/Hers for Loki, and vice versa. (Tony Stark was the only person immune to this aspect of Nexus-Loki in the comics, but he's dead soooo) Now, will they touch on that in the show? probably not.
If that's everything he's ever said then is that from his life this past version of himself didn't get to live like connecting with Thor again before dying. Conversations with his mother before she died? It technically already happened idk

So let's recap: The Loki we are seeing is the 2012 Loki that broke off from the point at which the Avengers went BACK to 2012. It's one thing to branch off of your own timeline in a normal flow, but the fact that it happened after a group of people already went back in time, is causing so many levels of damage. Also, like the Ancient One warned, an Infinity Stone was taken out of 2012 and never put back to restore 2012 Prime like she and Bruce hypothesised. 2012 and 2012 Prime are SCREWED. This Loki never went to Asgard for his trial, never broke down when Frigga died, never replaced Odin, never made amends with Thor and his home planet, and never died at the hands of Thanos.

In the comics, a Nexus-Loki (who is also a variant Loki, like in the show,) becomes an Avenger too, in a way, and gains their (will explain pronoun use in a second) old shapeshifting powers (as seen in Thor 2) back, instead of just using illusions (as seen in Thor 1 & 3) AND retconning themself as the original Loki, of which the others, (all the strictly male ones,) are just variants. The Nexus-Loki (the Current 616 Loki) Uses ALL Pronouns, has three different primary forms, (Male, Female, Androgenous) all of whom use different pronouns. The pronouns other people use for Loki change when they (Loki) change which base form they use, and it happens on a subconscious level as though it had always been so. So, when Loki changes to Female Base, the Universe starts using She/Her/Hers for Loki, and vice versa. (Tony Stark was the only person immune to this aspect of Nexus-Loki in the comics, but he's dead soooo) Now, will they touch on that in the show? probably not.

So let's recap:
The Loki we are seeing is the 2012 Loki that broke off from the point at which the Avengers went BACK to 2012. It's one thing to branch off of your own timeline in a normal flow, but the fact that it happened after a group of people already went back in time, is causing so many levels of damage. Also, like the Ancient One warned, an Infinity Stone was taken out of 2012 and never put back to restore 2012 Prime like she and Bruce hypothesised.
2012 and 2012 Prime are SCREWED.
This Loki never went to Asgard for his trial, never broke down when Frigga died, never replaced Odin, never made amends with Thor and his home planet, and never died at the hands of Thanos.
