Just a small tip for raising a boy which involves more how to work with your partner in unison. Allow your husband to rough play with him in his own way. I think dads bonding with their sons without restriction is so beautiful and allows him to get more involved in parenting without feeling suffocated. Us girls can feel real anxious when we see the boys play but the dads know what they're doing! And generally for any first time boy mums reading this, it helps them feel more involved in the child's life since the whole pregnancy is very heavily focussed on mum and baby bonding. Watching my husband bond with our son is honestly my favourite thing in this world! They have so much love for each other and it's so wholesome 🥰

OMG I wish someone told me that before having a son. I definitely can confirm that. But I was too scared and always tried to stop my husband and asked him to be more gentle. Now I know that he knew better. Such good advice 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

@@HidaRafi I pray you and your family are doing well ❤️ I have 100% trust in my husband and how he carries himself so even though my insides say "ahhhh he's gonna fall over!!!" I know my husband has full control over his actions and every movement he makes is in consideration to our son's safety so that then puts my mind at ease 😅 and the kid loves him more than anything so I know he loves it too haha!

    Hey Leena,
For potty training we let our daughter choose what underwear she wanted to buy and then asked her in the mornings if she wants to wear the diaper or underwear. So very soon she always wanted to wear the underwear and after a few 'accidents', she very soon knew to go to the potty.

I wouldn’t worry too much about splitting time between the 2 of them. If you think about it, baby boy will have to split his time immediately from birth and won’t get all the 1:1 time that Alaina has had already while she was an only child. She will definitely adjust to the change and do great I’m sure 😊

My son's only 4 but one thing that's been really important to my husband and I is teaching him that his feelings are ok. We are not perpetuating any of this "boys don't cry" garbage that society pushes. We tell him that it's healthy and ok to cry when he's sad or if he falls and skins his knee of whatever. It's also been important to us to teach him to be gentle with animals and smaller children, since he has many baby cousins that he wants to hold.

I struggled with feelings of inadequacy and being overwhelmed until I read The Untethered Soul. It really helped me. I also like your idea of involving Alaina in baby’s care. It’s great for confidence and forming that bond.

I’m one of six siblings Alhamdulilah. And Mashallah TabarakAllah my mom really knew how to train us for potty training. The trick is to not allow your child to wear potty training diapers during the day (the night is ok). I promise you it works and InshAllah she will be potty trained within two days. You have to have a child in underwear and be prepared for a lot of accidents over the two days and cleaning. But the toil will be worth it. A baby doesn’t like the feel of wet pee over them as well, and so when you coach them and say when you feel like peeing, make sure you come and tell me right away. And they won’t get it the first couple of times, but then they’ll notice and get it that they don’t want the pee on them or their clothes and voila! They will run over and tell you when they feel like they have to go! The two days are sooo hard, but the end results are worth everything. :)

Biggest piece of advice to an expecting mom is to not let the feeding process stress you out. My baby was born 10 weeks early and spent the first 6 in the NICU. The hospital stressed the need for breast milk to help her grow and get strong and then when she was discharged I made it my mission to exclusively breastfeed via pump for as long as possible. I wanted to to breastfeed exclusively for 12 months which is the ideal but then I went back to work 2 weeks after baby got home and work really put a dent into how often I was able to pump and how much I was getting per session. Ended up transitioning to formula at 6 months and felt so angry with myself about it. Baby girl is 8 months and has caught up so much on her growth that I have accepted that I did what I could and she was still better for it.

We just potty trained my almost 3 year old. At first it was a slow introduction but then we went full force one weekend and she was good after only 2 days. It was much easier than expected. We watched a lot of potty training shows and read a lot of books. You got this! ❤

ABSOLUTELY LOVEEE QNA VIDEOS!!!❤️❤️THIS ONE WAS AMAZINN LOVED IT!💗💗
This is the most random question but I’ve just always wondered This😂
When people say that their Labour was like 10 hours long , what does that actually mean ? Like do they push for 10 hours or something 😅? And when they push for whoever long , is it consecutively or like with breaks in between?💗
Sorry for this random qs but I’ve just always wondered what that meant 🥲

  • @ybvz123
    @ybvz123 ปีที่แล้ว +2

It is normal for babies to cluster feed and for your milk supply to be less at the end of the day. If you wish to breastfeed for a longer period of time, it is important to give in to the supply and demand system. If you choose to feed extra with formula from the start, there is a greater chance that your milk production will remain insufficient. It's both totally fine! Choose what works for you!

I don't think you have to worry. I don't know Omar as much, I don't even know you really, but just from what I see in your videos, you two are wonderful parents and have the support of a big, loving family. I'm 100% sure Alaina and the baby boy will be such good human beings and you will only have reasons to be proud. I wish you all the best and I'm sending you lots of love!

As soon as Alaina wakes up put her on the toilet. Every morning and every night before she sleeps. Make it a habit. Have her get used to it. Also during the day after she drinks or eats have her sit on the toilet until she pees. Stay with her read her a book, play games, sing, whatever just try your best to keep her on the toilet for at least 10 minutes, or if you have time until she pees. Habits help so much. It seems time consuming but it’s so worth it. You can also get her a potty watch with an alarm that will her her excited about it! My nice got a cute pink one and she loved it

Asalam Alaikum Leena, Lovely video Masha Allah. I have a daughter about a week younger than Alaina and I have a daughter who is 4 months old, My 2-year-old was almost potty trained a few months before having my younger baby, and it was mostly self-initiated. When the new baby was born she regressed back to diapers and I waited until my younger baby was 3 months to start potty training. At first, I put her on the potty hourly using a timer so when the timer went off it was time to potty. She had a lot of accidents the first 4 days or so (and I felt so defeated) then she got so much better and by a week in we did need the timer and she just learned her body. I still put diapers on her at night now but almost every morning she wakes up dry. Potty training can be daunting but in Shaa Allah if you stick to a routine and have patience she will get it.
With your plans for breastfeeding remember most babies like to cluster feed in the evenings and at night and babies have so many growth spurts in the first year of life. Of course, if a bottle at bedtime is what you want to do that is great but remember the more baby nurses the more supply you build. Maybe try pumping when you give that night bottle to keep your supply up. May Allah make things easy for you, motherhood is hard and I know you are doing a great job.

Your concerns are totally valid. After the birth of my second child, mom guilt set in hard. It’s tough, it will get hard but honestly what’s helped me through it all is taking it day by day. When you encounter a rough day, just don’t be hard on yourself and remember that times change with seasons. It’s a change but it’s a beautiful change. Wishing you well always ❤ inshallah everything will work out the way it’s supposed to.

I remember during your first pregnancy you were sooo organised and had everything ready and prepared & kept updating preparions regularly ..I really enjoyed your pregnancy videos back then. But with every other pregnancy it somehow goes much faster and somewhat goes just alongside all the other chores we as women have to do. There's just less time and capacity to soak it in and be up to date to everything going on (mostly because of the first child).. With my firstborn I had my hospital bag packed at 34 weeks while with my second child I didn't pack until 39 weeks 😁 but that's just life and it's normal ❤

I didn't sleep train exactly, I didn't want my kids to be crying and upset, I would let them fall asleep and then put them in the crib but I did get up several times at night to keep putting them back because they would take full advantage of me if I didn't. It was a lot of nights that I didn't get much sleep but they got used to sleeping in a crib in my room and didn't fuss. We need some semblance of privacy lol

The best advice for potty training is to just do it. 😂 lol but seriously you just mentally prepare yourself and tell yourself you have to do this. I read the book oh crap but honestly followed it very loosely. I decided to stay home for three days and bought tons of activities to keep my daughter occupied. It was during thanksgiving break so I had off work which worked out perfectly . On day 1 and 2 I let my daughter be commando just to get used to the urge. I set a timer for every 30 minutes. I also wrote down each time just to identify any patterns lol. I never yelled if there were accidents. I just reminded her that pee goes into the potty. On day 3 I introduced underwear, the book advises against it but I did anyway and it was fine. My daughter did really well. After day 3, we practiced outings and everything is well. Amazon has toilet covers and travel potty seats and we still use it to this day. Don’t worry about night time. My daughter ended up training herself for the night alhamdulillah but prior to that we did do pull ups at night time and just reminded that it was only for nighttime. Number 2 was its own beast but my best advice is if you find her withholding , tackle it earlier. It took us a few months to nail it down but don’t be discouraged , every child is different !! You got this and good luck !! ❤

You're right about the less period pain after a baby .. before my daughter my first day used to be painful i would know I'm gonna have my periods any minute now and i would just stay sleeping the whole day but after my daughter it was completely opposite i had no pain i would just do routine work and go to washroom and I wouldn't know that my periods have started already .. its been 2 years now and some months it feels heavy and i lie down for a while but most months its painfree

I was so convinced I was having a girl and was super upset when I found out I was having a boy. Now I can't imagine anything else. Two things helped me - realising that I wanted a girl because I assumed she would be just like me and that would be easier (no guarantee of that), and also realising that every kid is an individual and gender is only one part of them so you'll find plenty in common with them regardless.
Also June babies are the best - if you go early your baby and I might share a birthday!

'OH crap' potty training is the best method for potty training. Please buy the book and follow it to the letter. I read three books on potty training amd that is the best. I had my little one potty trained by 21 months.

I just posted a comment related to this (in a nice way) .. while that's true and I also miss her content from back then I totally understand her reasons. With the first baby moms are usually only focused on their pregnancy but with every other baby they have so much more going on in their life and there is just way less time and energy left to focus on the pregnancy. It just flies by alongside all the other daily duties..

You’re saying this because in another comment under this video you said that “the owners of this account stole your money”. It looks like you have been scammed and you’re mad which is understandable but Leena would never scam you. She’s the most nicest person ever! She’s not a scammer. Also, she may not a perfect Muslim but she’s a great Muslim. Please stop coming for her religion. That’s between her and Allah.

The owners of this channel stole my money, they said you won a gift and asked for shipping money and I gave it to them.

Unfortunately it seems like you fell for a scam. There are people who make fake accounts pretending to be the owners of the channel and they say you’ve won a gift, then ask you to send them money. There’s no gift, it’s fake. You were scammed by a scammer, NOT the owners of this channel.

Leena has brought this up in the past, but whoever send you these giveaways things with Leena’s name is MOST DEFINITELY A SCAM 😭
So I’d say next time you should pay more attention to whose rlly sending these 🥲
