This is an absolute dream of a set list for me! A bunch of songs from Nine Lives, I love it! I'm a 90's kid and Nine Lives is my absolute favorite Aerosmith album, I have loved it since it came out, so maybe it's nostalgia but I think the album is so cohesive and flawless. It rocks hard but has amazing ballads too. Steven's voice is absolutely phenomenal for this show, I'm so impressed! My throat hurts just listening to him sing, I don't know how he keeps it up. His songs are all high, his stamina is incredible!
I love bands who are legendary, yet, can still deliver a solid show with their current material at the time.
The last great Aerosmith album, so good to hear so many tracks from Nine Lives on the 97-98 Tour. After this, of course, they never had the same confidence in the subsequent albums to ever play as many current songs again!

Saw them in 1993, one of the best gigs I've ever been to. Get a Grip was their last great album.
Saw them again in 1997, didn't like it at all. Nine Lives is not a very good album, and they played too many songs from it.
For the past 10 years or so, they've been playing lot of the old stuff, which is great!!!

Love these full concerts of Aerosmith.
I saw this tour at Wembley Arena in 97 and then Wembley Stadium in 99 and agree with all the comments about them being at their peak after releasing this fantastic album and smashing it live. At the time they were (just) the right side of 50 and of course they had the 'Don't Want To MIss A Thing' bump a year later, Without that i don't think they would have been able to make the jump up from Wembley Arena to Wembley Stadium with such ease.
I really think in the years since we have seen a gradual decline in their vitality and vibrance as live band and this tour was the last time I think anyone can say the band were firing on all cylinders, that's not to say that they haven't been thoroughly entertaining in the years since, just never back to this level.
Honorary mention to Russ Irwin on Keys and Backing Vocals. Such an unsung hero adding those high harmonies at live shows. No easy task!

I think it’s because he just goes up on stage and really just enjoys the music and has a fun time and doesn’t give a fuck about anything else. Real rock n roll spirit I would say.

Nine lives was a great tour. I stayed in Hamburg at this time and visited the concert in Alsterdorfer Sporthalle.
great concert, I was there... half of the time, our tent on the campside was flooded, but who would have thought that this was probably the last tour when they were really, really in shape.

Just for general information: the concert took place at the Nuerburgring, a formula one circuit in the western part of Germany, near the border to Luxemburg. Nuremberg is in the southeastern part about 200miles/320 Kilometers from the Ring (Circuit)

@Coolkayaker1 I agree with you and I have this on dvd it lacks a few things 1 you can't hear the audience sound 2 the sound is kind of muffled a little 3 I don't know if it's the stages lights or the poor camera they had that night and 4 between every song they go to the snake or the cat or black out which is kind of but Aerosmith them selves had the energy and it's still okay however I do hope another dvd from 1997 or 1998 will surface soon

You're welcome Coolkayajer1 yeah the dvd's are hard to find because they are very rare. I have also looked at the show from 2013 which is Sao Paulo Brazil one I have on dvd also that's a great show
yeah I watched it, amazing crowd and performance from those geezers lol. But the German crowd is always pretty tough

Aquí el publico es que esta muerto, o desanimado o es que me parece, como están tocando de bueno, yo estaría brincando en una pata, así me doliera, nose, ciento el concierto raro por parte del público y como no se ven, el lo está dando todo, los otros músicos los noto raro, como sin ganas o es mi impresión, pero bueno a ya vi el publico, pensé que no había nadie jajajaj, yo estaría mejor dicho, hay que pereza tan serios todos y con semejante banda, seguro cada cual disfruta a su manera.

I always prefer Aerosmith's live sound to their studio sound, but frankly, I've been to a couple of their concerts and never thought much of their stage show. Incredible music, bland visuals.
