A windy day on the fishing pier. Many Spanish Mackerel were being caught. A large Spinner shark stayed around the pier all day stealing bait and mackerel.

This looks wayyy too busy and like it would take all the fun out of the fishing itself. Too many lines out. Too close to everyone around you. So loud. Maybe its better in person than it seems over video.
@@chrisbarrett6934 Oh okay...I guess its less tiring casting over and over having it chase the rig. Spanish macks here in the panhandle of Florida is about done for the season. Sheephead is starting to come around. What I do miss down that side of the coast are the big stripers and tautogs when the cold weather comes in.
It depends on what you’re fishing for and personal preference. I use a med-heavy 7’ rod with a Penn 4500 series spinning reel. I also use a conventional level- wind Penn reel, 12-15 pound mono line. Thanks for watching.
They’re not casting or fishing on the bottom- they’re fishing for Spanish mackerel using sabiki rigs. Tiny hooks and straws that look like baitfish. The motion of the hooks going up and down attracts the fish. One of many species of fish being caught on the pier using various methods.
In beginning of video .end of pier. 50 rods out .but only 5 guys ..isn't there a rod limit ..was at place like that in Illinois .that people was using 5 rods and limit was 2. At starved Rock state park .game warden came through. And wrote like 105 tickets that day. .wS so happy .. been there 5 times and had hard time finding spot to put lines in because so many people with to many rods.. lol the old polish guys was only ones who let me in ..every time of the 5 times I went there. . Chicago people who are just rude. .alot tryed to play the language game. .but I speak a bit of 3 languages ..and game widen didn't care he just asked for ID and wrote the tickets .I loved it .. he probably made Illinois about 5000 bucks that day in fines. Moral of it all be kind us the amount of rods .the law allows. And give other people a chance to fish too. If your not catching then on 2. Rods. 5 won't help you .much .
This pier has a limit of 2 rods per person and it is enforced. Unless you’re Kingfishing off the end of the pier and pay extra for more rods and to fish for King Mackerel.
