One thing that you should’ve mentioned is how low profit margin it’s going to be (almost none) if you do free shipping and try to compete with other sellers by matching the price if you print through Printful. Most shirts in Etsy sells at $10-$15 but to print shirt in Printful is about the same price and they WILL charge the seller for shipping (about $4). It’s not impossible but damn hard.
That’s why he said if you can try to sell at break even or even at a loss if you can afford it in order to get in those first sales and good reviews to rank higher and show reliability to other buyers. That’s when you start increasing prices and maybe even remove free shipping

How do you you get around Etsys 20 MB after uploading limit? All of my images need to be upwards of 70 MB to be optimised for print so I have been uploading a lower resolution version to the store and providing the customer with a link to the higher resolution print optimised file that I store on google drive.
Great video but I have one question. I thought Etsy requires you to make changes to the AI art in order to sell it. They don’t allow you to upload AI art as is right?

Yo G thanks for the video. Very well made. Didn't have to skip or speed up. You can differentiate yourself by making on-demand trippy art based on pictures customers send you. That is if Midjourney can accompany that of course. Trippy art of their dog or wedding picture or whatever.

As a designer, its sad, as someone who wants to make souless money, it's exciting. However, no proof this worked or made any money, which it probably didn't considering the space is so convoluted now and oversaturated. Everything comes full circle.
It is impossible at this point. The market is so oversaturated. This is why he didn't go any further with this video as it could have sat a year and he would have made ZERO sales even if he sold it at a break even point. Stop giving these people views as they are selling you a get rich scheme that has no possible way of happening. Unless you have a large following you will make ZERO SALES.

How many sales did you make per day after you were unbanned? What were your sales, actual profit and cost numbers over 30 days for example? Did you try any alternatives if the designs you picked were underperforming? What about ads, did you run Etsy promotions, discounts, or offsite ads? Your video is pretty useless without any of this info and the high proportion of thumbs down (1.2k down vs 2.7k up) shows.

Liam, so how does one avoid getting banned with AI art? There's no option that does away with the "Handmade" bit on the listings. I 100% agree that the stuff selling on there right now is utter crap compared to the divine beauty created by AI art. I'm an artist of 8 years in the psychedelic space, I've given up on my own art, the art made by AI is way better, way quicker and incredibly customizable. But really though, ever get unbanned? Was the handmade bit the only reason? I do see some AI generated art really making it on Etsy, why aren't they banned yet? How does one get rid of the handmade bit? Also gonna ask Chat-GPT at this point lol, but really though, this is promising, I'm spending every waking hour thinking about how AI + something = Big Money. Right now people my age don't even know what ChatGPT is, they think Alexa and Siri are AI. There's some serious money to be made here, give me a good answer at least about getting banned. Making those listings is painfully manual, I would be pissed af if they suspended me, I'm even spending on ads.
it asks you at the begining whose else you partner with to make your product. Here you must be clear about the artwork generated by AI and designs printed on demand by Prinify for example. I'm guessing you don't select handmade when you get to that section but you def are asked at the start who you partner with to produce your products.

You put it on a google drive and upload a doc with the drive link

shopify you won't have the built in marketing, but you wouldn't have to worry about your shop getting suspended. you would have to advertise more
