Thanks for watching. My pdf sheet music edition for this piece: wernerguitareditions.com/products/le-papillon-op50-mauro-giuliani-pdf All my free lessons for classical guitar: www.thisisclassicalguitar.com/lessons/
Just ordered the sheet music and expect this to be at LEAST a year's worth of learning and development for me. You make such endeavors look possible and worthy! Thank you.
This collection is beautifully played and with such emotion. Guiliani is so underrated today and only really appreciated by guitarists who see everything beyond the simplicity of technique and musical lines.
Well done !!! its been fascinating going along with you on this series of pieces. even as a once seasoned guitarist, re visiting the instrument, there are some that lets say "provide interesting challenges " and will most definitely highlight weakness or issues with right hand patterns, balance and tonal contrasts.... I have fallen a bit behind you as i promised to follow and learn each one , however there were some technical holes discovered that require plugging so it's back to the ear plugs and open string exercises LOL . Looking forward to the next adventure
Good question. Personally I would not mute in this particular situation. Maybe at slower tempos to create a desired articulation but it seemed too abrupt at fast tempos. But try it out and see if you like it.
Hello Brad, im having my first real concert tomorrow and i noticed that when playing with shoes on my legs get too high up and create tension. If i put the footstool on a lower level the guitar comes too low. Do you know any tricks to raise/lower footstool? Im using a Boston footstool. Thanks!
Well, you could try to find a different chair if the footstool doesn't work out perfectly. Most people just get as close as possible and then go with it. Only other thing would be a platform for under it.

It's so apparent in your face how much you enjoy these pieces. 🙂
Ya, they are pretty good. I wouldn't call them my favourite pieces or anything but they are excellent examples of intermediate works from the era.
I'm glad he doesn't go over the top with the expressions. Some players make such funny faces when playing I can't really watch the video
Bravo Maestro! What a wonderful contribution you have made to the online classical guitar repertoire.
Many thanks!
