It looks to me like Tomac is using the WSX as a chance to fine-tune and perfect starts
Chase Sexton failed to improve his starts while jet was injured
He relied on his conditioning to come back late in the Moto I think Eli realizes that's not gonna work against jet you're gonna have to have whole shots

Terrible coverage. Completely missed the battle and PASS for the LEAD in Moto 2 showing mid-pack guys play follow the leader instead. Word was Tomac was wheeling the entire whoop section for quite a few laps. …it would have been nice for the TV guys to show that at least once rather than Moss for 3 laps back in 12th or any other racer who was NOT battling anyone either for most of the race.
Can't see how this series will survive unless they improve it drastically.
Huge miss on tomac wheelieing the whoops. That is like something you get on camera and replay at teh starting montage of every televised race. Huge miss for the production team. Just as a rule you need a camera on the leader always.

Ah ,not so fast there little buddy. He had all of 2023 (as did everybody else) to try that. 22-0 outdoors along with ALL of the available 2023/2024 championships. Getcha pull off that. Eli in his prime might be a different story, though.

@@djjazzyjeff1232 Well they’re not, because they don’t perform their original purpose - saving somebody from hitting the ground hard. Longer / heavier triangle ish shaped tough blocks that won’t get hooked on foot pegs easily would be a great start…
@@Too_Toxiic "saving somebody from hitting the ground hard." IS NOT what they're for! They're track markers. That's it. They used to be hay bails, and those would disintegrate when you hit them too. And what's more, what tough blocks ACTUALLY end up doing: MAKE you hit the ground hard. They cause more problems than they solve, ask any top pro. You tag them them with a footpeg (as you said) and you're toast.

B minus. Live timer malfunctioned repeatedly. Missed shots of top riders passing, crashing, and even crossing the finish line. No foam blocks, just empty cardboard? The producer was asleep, showing the back of the race for four minutes while the top two were half a second apart…?
I'm gotta think empty cardboard is safer tho...
@@oneninerniner3427 depends on how you hit it. If the bike is upright/wheels down, the cardboard is probably safer. If you are hitting it flesh first, I'd want a real tough block.

It wasnt this race but the one before Tomac i believe got crossed rutted on the triple triple an the crowd gasp an oohhed but Tomac laid it over sideways in the air it was weird but he got it to fly straight an saved it i think it was lap 4 or 5 ...i heard the crowd then saw ELi sprawled out across the bike in mid flight...i was watching Roczen so i didnt see the take off from the face of the second triple...best an coolest jump i ever did was reacting to getting cut off up a jump a face just as i grabbed another gear...my front wheel rubbing the jerks ear lobe as i jump over 5 feet leaving face of the jump...an doing a full look behind who did i just knock off the track ok no one...i almost jump clean off the side off the table top..i had to stop myself before going out of bounds...the complete look back an photo was the best part...

Heard the tickets were crazy expensive.
Parts of the stands were 90% empty. That plus piss poor TV coverage and a weird format (why would you have the same class race back to back?)

Tough blocks are cardboard boxes 📦Pretty disappointing that a great series like this is stooping to a low by not paying attention to riders safety and more attention to how stylish the track looks.
The cardboard boxes are actually safer if ran into or jumped on as they would just flatten out and not send the rider catapulting
