Overeem didn‘t even got it wrong, he was totally ok with the fact that noone wanted to accept it. In the end they had to, Overeem showed everyone what UFC-guys are made of

The speed and technique from Badr is absolutely unique in kickboxing. In his prime, he was comparable to Mike Tyson in boxing. In addition, the competition was much stronger back then.

The only fights I saw Overeem look genuinely worried when he faced off with Hari. What a fighter Hari was, to bring down a talent like Overeem too.
This fight couldn't become a real fight because it was stopped much too early. The rule saying that two Knock downs in one round are already decisive, was nonsense. And Overeem wasn't even on the ground when he was declared as the loser. In my opinion, thousands of memorable fights in the history of K1 and boxing wouldn't have existed with this stupid rule.😣
I mean, those were the rules for the event. I kinda like it as it protects the fighters.

Badr Hari, born and raised in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, is of Moroccan Berber descent. His parents are Moroccans from the Houara tribe of the Sous region who moved to the Netherlands. Hari began practicing kickboxing at the age of seven, under the guidance of former World Champion Mousid Akamrane. As a teenager he trained at the Sitan Gym of Mohammed Aït Hassou. In the first fight Overeem outboxed Hari with solid fundamentals, like keeping his hands up, which takes advantage of Hari's wild and wreckless punches. In this fight, he was obsessed with clinching and landing knees, which clearly didn't work. It sucks the rubber match is happening so far past their physical primes, but my money's on Hari. He hasn't looked as bad as Overeem since their last fight.
Disagree regarding Hari winning. Hari lost four of his last five fights, win none of it, and while he looked good against Rico, he got injured from a freak fall. In fact, he got injured a lot since 2016. Contrast that to Reem, who nearly got five win streaks in his last run, and nowhere near as injury prone.

First fight between them was a real K.O. K-1 didn't want Reem too win second fight. Early stoppage
Overeem's in the first fight was a legit KO, but I think the stoppage was good here. Badr's an excellent finisher once he has someone hurt and the ref saved Overeem from getting slept. The biased commentary here is embarrassing. Very disrespectful to a legend like Overeem.
Bruh I've watched this fight literally thousands of times like a student watchin his masters but I still come back and watch this like it just took place today lol. I love witnessin greatness and Badr and Ubereem are the pinnacle of it!

jack slack did an amazing break down on how hari learned from his first fight with overeem and used a strategy to neutralize his left hand by circling to overeems right, and eventually he landed the right hand counter over the top of the left hook.

K-1 matches before final were 2 knockdowns in 1 round results in TKO. So ref had no other choice than to stop the fight. Both were clearly knockdowns.

I remember I stayed up all night in Canada and they fought around 5 am lol because of the time difference.... i was so excited to see overeem juiced up on roids and badr hari was amazing but he wasn’t juicing back then so alistair had power advantage.

Badr was heavily juicing after he lost vs Ubereem in 2008. The difference in muscle mass was huge when he showed up to this one year later. His steroid abuse was later confirmed when police searched his appartment.
