I worked on the AD team for Craftopia. You were such an amazing host & professional to work with!! I hope you are able to host another show. It is a bummer we cannot watch it anymore. I loved working on it. I’ve worked in the competition reality genre for 8 years now. Craftopia is still my favorite designed set. 😍
I work for Warner Brothers Discovery, and you got it all correct! I came from the Discovery side of the business and historically we have been amazing at producing reality shows for almost nothing. So when Discovery bought Warner, we also took on all of their debt, and that meant we had to do some major cost cutting. And some of the Max shows were very expensive, but didn’t have great returns financially. I actually was always shocked that yours got canceled because it’s incredibly advertiser friendly and super easy to do product integration. However, with HGTV and Food Network we already had a lot of shows like Craftopia. I still think it was a fabulous show and you did a great job! ❤
The way i was so absolutely jealous of everyone that got to watch Craftopia....then once i finally got the streaming service and searched it was just gone...... 😢
I loved the peas on the pod costumes.. so good and so freakin cute 😂❤ it’s so weird that I was actually wondering about craftopia the other day and realized it had been a while since the second season had aired in show terms and also hadn’t heard you talk about a third season.. I loved it and wish they kept it going

18:21 - I literally studied that merger in one of my Film courses. I honestly hate that HBO is called Max now...I"m a long time watcher. I watched Sopranos and marathoned it again during quarantine. It also messed around with the Crave programming if you had the HBO extra addon (I forget the official name). I'm in Canada so unsure if Crave is a thing in the US?
