Ah, yes...WOOPS. Yet another in a long, long line of unfortunate organizational acronyms. Not as bad as some others (Alliance Star Ship? Really?), but it certainly ranks among them.
so the thing about nuclear winter, its unlikely to happen the way we first thought it could happen but at the time no one wanted to be the one to say "actually we totally could nuke the f out of each other without destroying the planet."
I heard (I don't know if this is true or not) that it all depends on the yield of the nukes used in the conflict, that 700 megaton nukes and below will do the most lasting damage to planet as the majority of fallout will stay in the troposphere, and since each layer of the atmosphere has its own (mostly) independent air cycle most of the Fallout would be KEPT in the Troposphere damaging the worlds ecosystems for longer periods than larger nukes would
Humans... They can be your greatest and best allies, friends, helpers, saviours,.... OR your very worst enemy, way worst than your worst nightmares, your utter doom. They absolutely want to stand in the part before the «OR». Don't force them to the part after it.
Still haven't learned i see. Still persisting on that ridiculous notion, that they know best. Oh well, when those they helped turn on them, they'll learn the old lesson anew. Gratitude is poison. I enjoy all of Agro Squirrel Narrates videos
Only the humans could save you from your own undoing because they invented it! And then they perfected it, so that no living man could best them in the known universe.
Then they used their goodwill to herd every species they found in one orgization, and then they advanced everyone single one!
And then they built a big boat, and gathered two of every species together! And made them save each other!
Very nice use of the TF2 solder.
"Yea" isn't a misspelling of "yeah." It's the affirmative vote when asked to vote "yea or nay" on whether or not a motion should pass.
So Humanity's better qualities won out... still badass

I like the spinning rock. It... amuses me.
Reminds me of the Hallelujah Mountains :D
Needs some banshee fish now.
Wonder if there a thing
So in this story humanity found out the Great Filter is really a thing and decided to do something about it. Works for me
Humanity as the galaxy's EMT.
Woops is a rather amusing concept. Also a noble one. I like this.
I say the thumbnail. I hope “from a deathworld, they came” involves Yoda speech.
Humans have been weary of a nuclear winter for generations. It only makes sense that we'd try and help others who were suffering from such a thing.
*wary
@@Astavyastataa No. Weary is the correct spelling.

There should be an H.. but the Humans weren't content to just sit there, so they mobilized. Hence the missing H.
For future reference, when it’s been used formally like it was in story 2, the word “Yea” should be pronounced like “yay”
I like humanity in this series. We should all strive to be these kinds of humans :)

Next on extreme escape pods. We're going to see if we can out race the gravitational waves from our reactors/star drives
Bahaha, that got me good!
Now we need the story of space Jackass

At least you know it was created by humans...

On both stories, I agree with Peter Wall. Nothing is for free.
