- Couple finds a sick stray dog waiting for them on their porch - and decides to make him part of the family.

Turbo came to Libby and Zach as they were on their way to award $25,000 to a very inspirational young man, Rikki Maisonet. Rikki was nicknamed Turbo at the distribution center he works at and that is how they decided on Turbo's name. 200 acers is massive. For him to even find that house is a miracle. And to find the house and kind people he found is even more miraculous. Happy life Turbo!

We’ll probably never know what kind of life he had before, but it’s a miracle that he now found a forever home.
That dog is well behaved and didn’t seem like he had been on his own for long. I wonder what happened to his owner 😭
@@daCubanaqt One thing I can be certain of.. is that if I ever lost my dog, the first place I would check is the vet, and facebook. And for them to plaster his picture everywhere to no avail, just says everything you need to know about the previous owner. They obviously didn't look nearly hard enough, but luckily for Turbo.. his life became so much better.
Their previous owner probably dropped him off in the woods.
@@GTFBITKUnfortunately, that's very likely. People do it all the time, to all species and ages of creatures. Luckily, this sweet boy was able to find people to take him in.
Gotta love how he found an empty house and thought: “I ain’t moving anymore. Whoever lives here is going to take care of me, now I sit and wait”. Many thanks to this lovely couple for saving a beautiful soul lost in such a wild place! 🙏🏻

I've seen so many found dog stories where the dog came to the house, waited on the porch. I think dogs recognize houses as where people live and know they want people and could be helped by them. Not all dogs do this, but I think when they do, it's because they know and decide. Lovely big boy and a kind couple, his new humans.

@@go_gorilla_go no snarky comments. The person meant that this dog belonged to someone because it's obvious he isn't a stray dog. The dog was in good health despite being dehydrated and weak. A 8 year old stray dog would not look anything like he look.
@@hahehahe4215 He was most definitely not born a stray. A born stray living on a 200 acre forest property would be feral by 8 years old. It was most definitely abandoned and the most likely reasoning would be that it had an owner who was too poor to take him to the vet but also too dumb to understand that abandoning your pet dog in the wild is a death sentence.

My sweet Duncan walked up to my house while my son was cleaning out the garage. He walked right up to the garage. He was dirty, skinny ( he's an American bulldog, his ribs were showing, his feet were swollen (CA summer does not make for walking around comfortable), thirsty, and looked exhausted. My son told him to lay down under the tree in the yard. He walked over, laid down, and looked like he was smiling. My son came in and said there was "something I needed to see". It was love at first sight. We've been glued to each other's side for 3.5 years. A blessing for the both of us. We need each other.

I wonder if he was dumped from a car and left to wander, it's something that seems to happen more and more these days. Who knows how far and for how long Turbo traveled to find the home of angels who would become his family? But he did and they are and that's what life is about.

I know right. I can't watch animal programs because they can be shocking and have bad outcomes and I can't deal with that. I love the dodo because I know it's always a good ending. I am so grateful for that.

I always wonder about their back story. Were they purposely abandoned, are they lost and why. So glad he found his forever home.

He seems like a total sweetheart, no overt signs of abuse and fairly well trained. I wonder what his story is, or maybe if he had an elderly owner that passed or something like that
That's what l figured and a Friend or Relative didn't know what to do so they took him to the Country 😔
Probably someone dropped him off. Lots of people drop off dogs in the middle of nowhere to rid of them unfortunately.
@@SherriLyle80s That's true and so sad. I lived in the desert for some years, 20 miles away from the city, and so many litters of dogs and cats were dumped. Some, probably a minority, were found on the brink of death and were able to be rescued. Most of them probably became victims of coyotes or died of dehydration. How can people do that? Don't have animals if you can't take care of them.
@@kathleenmckenzie6261Yes! I 100% agree! And spay and neuter if possible, so there's no unwanted litters of babies (unfortunately, that's one of the main things that leads to dumping)!
He came to the right door at the right time and joined the best family. Happy endings are great.

A proper harness also allows an assist, distributing the weight on the dog's body. When my 64# mobility dog couldn't walk well, we harnessed him up so Tom could help him up.

Luck got nothing to do with it, work, and the discipline to put off short-term junk for a long-term goal. People ask how I manage to have 80 acres here in CT. Oh, I didn't buy new cars or run up credit card debt or student loans for worthless degrees. I worked a lot, and once I got to the Gulf of Mexico flying Helicopters, I just took every fly over opportunity I could get, instead of working 14 days a month I would work 21 days a month and make an extra full paycheck a month that went into the land I bought. It took me three years. My guess is I could have bought that 200 acres in Arkansas for about the same or maybe in a little less time. Add up the amounts of money you are spending on things, the stuff that has no real value you be surprised by how much you are spending on worthless junk.
It wasn’t luck. My mom started as a receptionist and worked her way.
Turbo is such a sweet boy 🐕. He knew where he find all his needs at. He found the love, the care , lastly his Fur-ever home 🏡❤. Kindness is always rewarded. Kudos to you 👏 Heroes for saying yes we are here for you Turbo. Glad your other dog 🐕 has become such a great sister ❤.

I’m very glad that he made it to you. He’d probably been wandering around the woods lost for awhile, and when he saw a house, it was something familiar and he stayed. Glad it wasn’t a cabin that was only occasionally occupied, and that caring people lived there. Thank you for taking him in and saving his life. It doesn’t matter how much money or how much property someone has (doesn’t even mention if the rescuers own it), if they don’t have the love in their hearts to rescue an animal it wasn’t going to happen anyway. So thank you again for being the kind of people who go out of their way to take the time and money to not only save his life, but to give him a home. Blessings to you and yours

I always try to help when I see a homeless person with a pet. That's got to be so hard. I live in an apt. but so glad I can have 2 cats and one dog, even so I dream of having a house with a yard with grass and trees for them. But we do fine because we have each other.

This tickles all the the good spots of emotions, I love people that have the compassion to care for those outside their own , any body can be this way if they want too , my moto is to at least give food and water and shelter if its hot or cold , the bath will never hurt the animal and to offer quiet place for them to rest if tired
Not all strays will appreciate a bath from someone who hasn't proven trustworthy yet. LABS LOVE WATER, were bred to swim in Newfoundland waters, so they welcome even the coldest bath.
He is a precious boy, but so are his new owners!

You guys are both angels for taking that dog in! I hate people that abandon animals in abusive and there's a special place in the burning pits of hell for people that leave animals are hurt animals, they are the most defenseless things and they are so loyal to humans! How could you ever ever ever in your life hurt a poor defenseless beautiful animal like that!
I also have a Black Lab, I will say they are the best dogs ever. Not an ounce of mean in them no matter what they go threw, their honestly big babys!!!
Heart full of joy and love! I little kitten about 4 months old wandered onto my driveway one night. I have a screen on garage door and was sitting in garage at 3 am heard a meow. I went out and this poor thing was starving. I had a little cage and put food and water in. The kitten kept trying to come in. I turned on light and noticed the right eye was torn up. I called emergency animal shelter. We have dog and cat and couldn't take. These heroes came at 7 am and checked her. She was chipped. Told me Vet would fix eye and exam as well as calling owner. I cried and worried for a few weeks but know it was the right thing to do!

Maybe he's an old hunting dog that got lost. During hunting season, we would find many lost hunting dogs on and around our land.
Many old hunting dogs are sadly dumped and abandoned too.

My best friend Loki was found in the woods of Vernon B.C. and rescued by Jurassic Bark Dog Rescue, Black Lab x Pit Bull. We adopted him. A great Dog . Had the same white hairs on his face probably from stress.
A dog like Turbo is always a gift, but the fact that he is a typical super sweet black lab makes this story even more special.🐶💖
Thank you for taking care of him, he probably was abandoned. When an animal comes to a human for help it is because they are in duress. Blessings to you for taking him in. I would have done the same.
