I've have seen this HUNDREDS of time, and I'm laughing like it's the first time.
@@Cabrabrava this movie makes me laugh every time I watch it and keeps getting more funny
This is one of the worst films I've ever seen in my life. Xmas 🎄 vacation is ace, but this one is disgusting.
This might be the funniest scene in all the vacation movies. The slaps, head butt and punches are hilarious 😂
I showed this clip to a friend of mine visiting from Germany and he laughed so hard when Chevy Chase punched the guy.
Omg I am from 1975, this movie was EVERYTHING when I was a kid XD
Watching now and for me, I think the best line in the whole movie is when Audrey says "now can we go home", lol! Wonderful movie!!
😂😂😂😂 This scene kills me everytime. What a buffoon Clark was 😆
Those bells haven't rung in years.
Rusty: What do they mean?
They're going to hang someone!
Rusty: [thinks for a moment] DAD!
Clark didnt know how to do the dance but somehow syncs perfect with the others 😂
Dammit Clark! Rusty was about to get a happy ending with Claudia!!
The little Bugs Bunny dance he does at 1:52 kills me EVERY time. 🤣
Absolutely terrific fun movie
this was a pretty funny scene along with the chase in the end
Chevy Chase at his best, being funny as usual.
2:21 I can't stop laughing...that was so funny.
Never fails to make me laugh so hard every time.
The leither hosen is the short pants they are handed down to each generation 🙂Germans do have a sense of humor👍
My people came from Munich a hundred years ago. One of the things on my bucket list is to visit there and see a real Oktoberfest. I’ll have to keep this scene in mind….
The impromptu tap dance he does at 1:51 is my favorite part 😀
Yes, I’m part German, luv this movie, so funny,
without a doubt one of the funniest scenes chevy chase ever did in all of his movies
2:38-2:47 Ken from street fighter came outta nowhere fading folks 😆 🤣 😂
Camera work rocks. Hilarious
Love this movie! 😀
1:58 The European version of "How can she slap?" begins.
BEST SCENE IN THIS MOVIE
It's even more spectacular when you consider the weather was around 42 F (5 C) at the time.
Their performans is well applauded!! 2:24 beautiful of Cheyy coming in on stage
..perfect!!
Reminds me of my time at Oktoberfest at the Wiesn.
Hilarious! Why do I find this stuff so funny?
That’s funny how at @ 2:48 the guy that headlocks Clark has no hat on but suddenly has a hat when Ellen is hitting him with the tray
Watch how they put there hands up? Don't shoot!!" Lol
He seemed to be catching on. If that bearded guy didn't get slappy it would have been fine!
I love how they add the detail that Chevy Chase has the wrong kind of hat and that its larger than the others like he is overcompensating trying to fit in. It just adds to the emphasis he's an outsider.
Isn't this how the Beer Hall Putsch started?
This is an underrated movie.
I literally say that all the time. The more underrated one of the series.
That is so funny.
"Nein, Nein, hier rüber!"
I've been thinking of this movie filming location in university studios backlot
This scene was actually filmed in a Bavarian town located in the northernmost part of Italy near the Alps and the German /Swiss Border.
Cant stop watching this. Reminds me of me. And every other american. Sure, when in rome. Ill have some fun with you guys. Uh oh, your misbehaving buddy lol.
Every man not in lederhosen is in a members only jacket 😂😂😂
Hilarious!!!
I am from germany (well the northern part) and I never heard about these kind of dancing before. I also never got why it went to a fistfight in this movie...great one nevertheless
I guess the traditional Bavarian folk dances were too "tame", so they had to mix it up a little... 😁😁😁😁😁😁
Come to think of it, what are the traditional dances/music like in Northern Germany? I know a bit about the wooden shoe deal/farmer type dances in the Netherlands, Burt Kaempfert easy listening type music, along with Heinz Kiessling and Werner Tautz, the waltzes/polkas thing, classical guys like Schumann, Brahms, etc. Maybe some other stuff. But yeah, everyone thinks of Bavaria -the food, the traditional clothes, the scenery, the music and dance, the beer... Fewer thoughts of (Lower) Saxony, Hannover, the Rhineland/Nordrhein/Westphalia, Mecklenburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Brandenburg, Pomerania, Thuringia, Upper Saxony, Franconia/Hessia, Saarland, Swabia, etc.
Clark accidentally slaps the one dude, he slaps Clark back, Clark head-butts him, and it escalated from there
Das ist ein Schuhplattler und bei solchen festen sind dann immer Aufführungen vom Musikverein zum Beispiel und dann kommt es auch zu diesem gestellten Backpfeifen geben und huckepack.
I was dead when she came in with a food tray and started beating the guy like it was WWF. 😂 😆 💀
It wasn't the same guy who was choking Clark, it was another guy when she hit him with the food tray.
It must have been cold, if you look closely you can see their breath vapour.
According to Chevy Chase's Commentary on Euro Vacation this was filmed in the northernmost part of Italy in the Alps just near the German Border it was mid Oct 1984 and yes he said he was freezing as he had to wear the lederhosen and shorts.
2:18 lol
Lmao
and still laughing 3 months after
I mean , he did pretty good for the first time, why were they so mad?😂
Clark don't like being slapped
So so so funny
A paternal parent who is from Germany, this is a traditional dance and they do slap each other hard at times and only big men play the game, but you don't lose cool and punch. I don't know the spelling but it's pronounced shoe-plut-lah
I did not know Chevy Chase, um . . . Jerry Lewis . . . could dance. lol
I have no idea how many takes they makes for this scenes^^
LOL! 😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It escalated so quickly.
Inaccurate.
In reality, the first German to get hit would just passive-aggressively argue about what happened, then smile, prost, and sink a beer.
I actually laughed.
Wow
1985
Who knew before going to Greendale Community college Pierce was travel all over Europe with his family causing havoc
What's the name of the music that starts at about 0:52?
I ❤German UFC
My ancestors behaving badly.
what german song is it?
what is this dance called?
No doubt inspired by the 'German Week' episode of AYBS?
Just the Americans have plastic cups. 😀
Realistic depiction of the course of events on an average Bavarian volksfest. I can see some punches, too. So is this a comedy or a documentary?
The Germans know how to throw a Levi party and just go in the basement afterwards to the house elf..I think they ripped these dance moves off shreck the over series omg they totally did..
This clip ended about 60 seconds too early.
Hands up..dont shoot
Da legts di nider was di amis von uns denger. Mai saupreiß die amis XD
@@palasta Wos soll na des fir a Sproch sa? Fränggisch mid Einschlach vo Denglish? XD
Clark was hot.
When you gat a cut that's squirting like that, that's an emergency, you need a hospital right now.
how come at the start the guy is speaking English?
Because English is taught in German schools as it is in many European schools.
@@SonshineLady7 True. When I visited Norway, I met children no more than ten years of age who spoke very good English.
I'll I've never heard of sounds
This movie in better than the original
whsts the platler
1:36 This is not in Bavaria. Grannys drinking beer out of small glases. SMH
Johnny Gelecki
What song
Must have been freezing filming this look at the steam come out of their mouths
Hilarious - Typical Chevy.
Oktoberfest
This Audrey was a total riot! She must have had so much fun doing this role. Sadly she died too young. I hope you are resting in peace, Dana Hill.
According to Chevy Chase's commentary on the movie he said Dana Hill "Did" enjoy making it and everyone mostly enjoyed working with her and that he said he missed her dearly".
This was literally the worst Audrey.
@@shawns9813 actually the worst Audrey was in Christmas Vacation but the rest of the cast was great
@@waverider227 I agree, she had no redeeming qualities and all in Christmas Vacation
@@waverider227 Agreed. Juliette Lewis is annoying in every movie she's in.
