Man i could listen to this solo all day everyday, as you say it's so dam melodic. Fantastic job Justin and well played.
I recon a good tune of Knopfler's to do would be Going Home (theme from Local hero) even though i can play most off it already, but it is just typical tasty melodic knopfler heavenly guitar work, then again just about everything he plays is to.
Keep up the good work Justin, i've learned more from you than anyone else, your a star.

That guitar solo 4 Sultans of Swing at Alchemy would be a fabulous lesson. Tunnel of love Sultans and Crossroads are my favorite all-time guitar solos

Fantastic lesson Justin. Your lessons have inspired me to tackle songs and solos like this one that when this song came out , I can remember thinking, this beautiful solo was beyond my capability of playing. And only time will tell because this ones a challenge, but worth all the time and effort. I categorize Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler solos such as Tunnel of Love, as "stop in your tracks and listen" songs. They had a special kind of impact that anyone who appreciated Mark's unique guitar style and beautiful phrasing, just listened to and were amazed. You could never forget them, they went right into your soul. Great job and many, many thanks!

I just read on your email that you met Mark Knopfler!!! That is so awesome! He’s my guitar hero too. I’m so glad you are teaching these songs. I’m still at beginner stage 3, so I’ve got a looooooong way to go, but it gives me something to look forward to. Thank you again for such an easy to follow website, I feel like I’m actually learning and that’s so exciting.

Great stuff Justin ! For me this song and solo will be forever linked to the bar scene in "An Officer and a Gentleman", such a legendary movie and this song was perfect for it and made it even more powerful.

Another wonderful lesson. I have (to my astonishment) now got the bare bones of this whole solo under my fingers, enough to start practising in earnest. And I am really not a good player! I would have said this was impossible for me, but you've shown me it isn't.

Hi justin, it would be amazing if you could go over the concept Mark used over every chord. Learning the notes is one thing but it does not always allow you to use the concepts in your own solos. I made some connections but I would really enjoy hearing you talk about it. Cheers man, great lesson

It made me smile / cringe cos i know you put alot of time and effort into your content . You are defo N°1 on youtube and all other platforms. Because for me even from the early days wether you can donate or not the information was there and easy follow videos and updates . Thanks justin because personally and possibly opinions of others you give a chance to everyone in life . 👍

Hi Justin, be great to see a chord-tone analysis for this part of the solo too. You mentioned about more requests to cover Marks music.... mayby a quick riffs/rhythm parts video's? I really like the beautiful broken chord picking from, 'On every street' from the early 90s i think?... the Last Dire Straits album?...

Dire Straits: Private Investigations on acoustic guitar (with some electrical bits as well) would be great! I also like a lot of Knopfler's (less) know work. He closes almost every concert with a very Local Hero tune, I am trying to learn a very stripped down version of this by watching this TH-cam movie :th-cam.com/video/2sUznyA2GZw/w-d-xo.html (with al lot of close ups) but still rather complicated to find out

Hi Justin, was wondering if maybe sometime in the future you could tackle some Aussie Crawl songs such as “Things Don’t Seem” and “Shut Down”!
Love Mark Knopfler, love the vids you do, keep up the good work mate!
