Chitrasena Dance Company engages with community

During their recent visit to Blacksburg, members of Sri Lankan Chitrasena Dance Company participated in several outreach activities, including a visit to Springhouse Day School in Floyd to lead a workshop in Kandyan dance. The ensemble joined Nrityagram Dance Ensemble for a free matinee performance for area students. This school-day performance included excerpts from the ensembles collaborative work, “Āhuti,” a brief lecture/demonstration, a dance presentation, and a question-and-answer session.
