Not any more amazing that what all humans if loved as much as she and who experienced even greater tragedy were rescued. He was so grateful for all the people involved and it looked like his life perspective was changed by this incident and for the better. We have such potential as a species yet to live up to.

As I was listening to him describe the moments after the attack while on the beach as the people around him were trying to stop the the bleeding, his description of his daughter being so calm and him being in that moment paying attention to every detail down to the wind moving her hair, was so beautiful to me! His daughter's are lucky to have such a loving strong father!

He obviously reacted on instinct and deep unbridled love for his daughter and thus his vigilance against the shark is not just plausible but so beyond heroic that I only hope our next president can be half as courageous as this beautiful man.
