I couldn't agree with you more! As I was listening to him describe the moments after the attack while on the beach as the people around him were trying to stop the the bleeding, his description of his daughter being so calm and him being in that moment paying attention to every detail down to the wind moving her hair, was so beautiful to me! His daughter's are lucky to have such a loving strong father!

I teared up so much during this interview. As a parent I know the lengths we would go through for our babies but damn man. When his fist were shaking as he recounted saving his daughters life, i felt that anger, frustration, thankfulness, fear, and power. This man is everything we as girls should all have as a father, what i wish i had in my father....a hero! You are amazing Sir.

Thank goodness you have a brave daughter...something tells me she takes after her dad!!!!! The fact she remained calm I'm sure helped her. He obviously reacted on instinct and deep unbridled love for his daughter and thus his vigilance against the shark is not just plausible but so beyond heroic that I only hope our next president can be half as courageous as this beautiful man.
It's sad that all these comments indicate that the average person thinks it is somehow surprising and a rare and special talent, when a father loves his child.
I watched him and his daughter on abc news. He said he was taking in every moment because he didn’t think she was going to make. His daughter Paige said she was glad it was her because she wouldn’t of been able to save him. She said I’m still Paige I just have a few puzzle pieces missing. I thought wow she is truly a inspiration to me. I love the bond between the father and daughter.
