  • This is a 2.7km walking tour that goes from Obarsi Pharmacy, past Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) and on to Chez Mary restaurant in Vittin Mall (under construction), in Tamale, Ghana.
In this one I look around a lot more than previously. Let me know if you like this style. I will do it more often if you do.
Also, do you prefer music, or the ambient sound?
Note: The music kicks in at about 4:30.
I know most of the people in the last part of the video so you'll see more smiles and waves (and less, what is that crazy woman doing?).
Most of the video is very smooth because I did this walk using a gimbal, but there are bits where the stabilizer in the video editor has things a bit jittery. None of them last very long. I'm still trying to figure out the best solution. Thank you for understanding.

I prefer the smooth video as I can see what is actually being sold and the variety that is being offered. I like the music over the 30 minutes of ambient sound, however, is there possibly a way fo combine the two ? Play some ambient sound for awhile and then switch to music for a bit and maybe a little silence from time to time? The jittery videos are a bit hard to follow. I am really impressed with the goats, they know how and when to cross the roads without getting killed, and from an earlier question I asked, they also know how to get back to their homes for dinner. 😄🐐

Even when I'm not using the gimbal I try to get as smooth as possible. The gimbal is very conspicuous and sometimes an ornery bit of equipment. I might try it again though. As for the ones with music, I usually do that when there's a technical reason for doing so, like there being conversation or unwanted noise. That's why it's not usually a combined soundtrack. Though I did manage it on the horse carriage ride in Senegal. I was happy with that because I didn't want to miss out on the clip-clop of the horse's hooves.

Thanks to the late former president j j Rawlings for opening up Tamale in terms of infrastructure such as Roads, electricity and schools, if not for him and his government no government would have given us this much.

I was here in 2003 and I remember one paved road and the edge of town was about a 15-minute walk from Center. Tamale has grown so much. It's wonderful.
