Hello! Thanks For Sharing This Beautiful Video Wishing you a season full of light and laughter for you and your family Merry Christmas And Happy New Year 2023 🍬🎅⛄
Thank you! I’ve heard it said that when you get off the main streets, London is basically a number of villages, and this is definitely how it seemed today. I love hearing the snippets of conversations as you pass people, a little insight into their lives😊
Watching this on Boxing Day 2022 in Barcelona. SO BEAUTIFULLY FILMED! - Thank you! Making me feel so nostalgic for my exquisite London! Happy New Year 2023 to everyone; which promises to be one we shall all never forget!
Hi! What a charming village this is. I enjoyed going around it with you on your walk, seeing all the shops and beautiful sights. Thanks for the captions! I appreciate them when you can do them. Hope you're having a great Christmas week!🎄
Every time I have been to Hampstead I have found something new. It is a tiring place to walk around, as it is so hilly and I have found myself getting lost due to the many alleys. I believe it to be the loveliest place in Greater London, especially as it so close to Hampstead Heath with its stunning views of central London. Hampstead is an affluent place and you need to be wealthy to live there. However the residents are clearly very proud of where they live and the place is always clean and immaculate. Thank you W-W for such a lovely video and I wish you a Merry Christmas.
I love it there too and each trip to London go there and walk around and I too get lost and turned around, it is definitely a healthy walk up all the hills and down. Love the Burgh House too to visit. Odd each time I visit from Canada and plan an afternoon in Hampstead always raining for me. Hope next trip no rain. Nice to see the sun shining. Love all the shops and restaurants too.
@@darlenechandler2403 I'm glad you liked my comment. I hope the sun shines on your next visit. Try to visit Fenton House if you have not been there. I wish you a happy New Year.
American here ….. enjoying all the beautiful sights and sounds from your lovely videos. You English put us to shame with your walking and in the cold as well! I so want to live in England and if I could sell my house I would pack up all the dogs but maybe travel across the pond on the Queen Mary. I’ve flown, but I don’t want my dogs in baggage on a plane.
Greetings from Greece, I used to work in Heath Street about 36yrs ago, so thank you so much for posting, it has bought back lovely memories, I used to spend my lunch break wandering these streets, Happy New Year to you 🥰 also I love all the snippets of conversation you catch as you walk around!
Only saw 1 WW Logo. My head kept saying I have been there. The more you walked round the more I kept thinking you really have been there. The old tree near the end said yes you have. Thank you.
So fun to be able to walk around vicariously in my old stomping grounds. So happy to see my favorite crepe stand, La Creperie is still there. It's been there since the early 80's and still the best crepes I've ever had. Every time I return to London I always have to get a crepe there.
Dear WW The stability, quality and the content of your work is exceptional Thank you for sharing the beautiful locations of London Tried to catch a glimpse of your face, sometimes in the sunlight and sometimes in the city lights 😊 Want to see those eyes through which we’re able to see LONDON ♥️
Hello again from New Zealand this video was truly wonderful to watch and to hear your footsteps on the crispy icy snow lovely to also see the wonderful houses and alleyways of Hamstead were truly amazing I didn’t want the walk to end each turn you mate gave us another interesting sight to see. Many of the areas had a Dickensian feeling especially the cemetery with all the very old Graves thank you once again sending special greetings and good health from Maureen
i have lived in London 40 years, i remember in the 80s 90s myself and my landlady going to kenwood house in the summer, and had tea outside, happy times, Hampstead will remain special in my soul, hopefully this summer might get a walk up there.
Hello Watched Walker I love your videos, thank you for write or show to us the streets names!. I love It because I can remember when I was walking around that beautiful places. Greetings from Lima Perú.😄😊
Oh Wow Watched Walker. WWW! Really looking forward to this as I've heard Hampstead is a really great place. I'm sure it will look even more special in your video at this time of year. Hope all is well with you. Vancouver has had over 12 inches of snow and around -22C with a windchill! It's usually very mild in winter just like the UK.and it's currently the coldest time in history! Total chaos too. Glad that I'm here in Canterbury! Anyhow I'll get to this latest video soon! I just saw the preview and it looks very festive if a little slushy.
Funny how this popped up on my feed, I was literally there a few hours ago! Absolutely love it in Hampstead. The OG place for crepes @ 36:38 La Creperie De Hampstead. Hands down the best crepes. However long the queue is, it is always worth it.
Couldn't agree more. It's a tradition for me to get one anytime I'm visiting my grandparents ,,which funily my grandad installed the plumbing over 40 yrs ago. :)
@@maxwaring2000 no way! That’s cool! Have you been there recently & seen that imposter of a creperie stand next door? I still can’t believe the pub did that. We’ve boycotted the pub now. We always used to pop in there for a few drinks after our crepes but not anymore. Plenty of other cosy old school pubs to go to instead!
@Miss VJF Thanks 😁 actually going down to London today and hampstead soon after aha. Dont blame you, Yes spotted that stand and haven't tried it and don't plan to! If they're going to do a stand they could have atleast done something different..
@@maxwaring2000 hope you had a fab time in London & managed to get to Hampstead too! Yeah exactly, they could have done so many other food options, it’s ridiculous & really unnecessary. Sadly people who don’t know will just go there if they see a long queue at the OG. Their loss!
nice walk through Hampstead Village. Discreet houses that house millionaires. A very pleasant little provincial side. A nice walk to do; sometimes it was very slippery on the ground, but WW was careful. Beautiful houses in pastel colors. Thank you for this breath of fresh air in the countryside 😀😀😀😀😀😀
Good morning; @@alanblackett036, Yes, I know, but Hampstead nevertheless has the air of a large bourgeois village, discreet and full of charm. Thank you, Merry Christmas 😀😀😀
Thanks WW; I also like this village atmosphere. Be careful not to slip with the snow. it was nice to see your shadow and hear your footsteps. Happy holidays to you too. 🌲🌲🌲🐧🐧🐧
Im always considering in my mind which is the best area of London to live in. Is it Chelsea, is it Kensington, is it Marylebone or maybe Mayfair, today I’ve decided it’s HAMPSTEAD. It’s doing walks like this one, that keeps you ahead of the rest. Happy Christmas WW
@PinkPanther15 not really - southern parts of NW3 are filled with ugly council estates and the south east is again not truly desirable. This only shows the north of NW3.
Thank you for this video. I would feel connected if I lived there. I live in Vermont and I feel disconnected so it’s nice to see the place that symbolizes my roots if I can just get at least vicarious pleasure out of your video or consider moving!
Love Hampstead, thank you for this wonderful walk and taking me back there. Love going to Burgh House too and all of the shops there. I too have had the Crepes there. And many times a nice meal in the restaurants. Every time I plan a day in Hampstead, always get there and starts to rain, so my walks have been shortened. Hopefully next time the sun will be shining, like the day you did this walk. Wonderful. Merry Christmas to you and a very Happy New Year for 2023 from Canada.
Thank you🥰 Watching this has helped my being homesick. You can take the girl out of London but you can’t take London out of the girl! It will always be home to me especially at Christmas time.🥰 From WA. 🎄
You can smell the old money from here. This place is full of old property rich folk. Bought their houses for a pittance in the 60/70's, and now have the luxury of living in the poshest part of London (rent free). Places like Chelsea and Mayfair are where the real swanky money is, it's full of foreign bankers and investors. Hampstead is where you will find the old dithering types, pottering around the charity shops and Knick knack stores, buying vases for £200. It's a retirement haven.
Village? 🙃It's 4 miles from the central of the city! It IS London, and in no way a village for at least 500 years! (UK definition in terms of people is between 500 and 2500. Hampstead is millions!)
Sula, yes, you're right in terms of the definition and Hampstead overall, however, this specific part of Hampstead is referred to as Hampstead Village because of its history, look and feel.
