I'm an English teacher in Thailand and I practice Muay Thai in my free time. As a teacher I have to tip my hat to you Joe. On top of being a great fighter you've got a knack for teaching. It shows that you care about helping people and giving back to the sport. Thanks for all the great content. Much respect.
You probably dont care at all but does anyone know of a way to log back into an instagram account?? I was dumb lost the login password. I love any assistance you can offer me.
Wow, what a difference between the instructions provided by a world champion and those coming from your average TH-cam teacher. Thank you, Joe, I'm in awe of the most precious material you're generously providing here.
That's real power..!! Kiss your ribs goodbye. Joe you're the man..!! Been missing your videos. I've said it before my kickboxing game is 100% better because of you. Thank you Bazooka Joe..
Thank you sir, for me, this is the best switch kick instructional, no disrespect to the other guys, they're great, but for me, with you it really clicked.
When i'm training alone for drills i always place a pair of trainers / sneakers down in a fighting stance, it teachs where to be aware of your oppos foot/feet placement, therefore when i say kick i half moon my foot on his lead foot creating the T shape, to many people seem to start a kick not realizing that to generate power you have to get behind his leg.
I'm so glad this video is available because I've always had an issue with the switch kick therefore I've had to use the pendulum step from back when I was taking JKD
Let's not forget stretching, flexibility help. This is a hard kick for people to get even for advanced guys. This kick has been used about the last 40 years and is more new to MMA.
man much Love i Love your Videos and the style you Kicking absolutely Beautiful much success for the Future and thank you so much for your helpful vids other peeps wanna do Money with every shit and you show that you married to the Game and loved what you do
which I still sometimes use or will sometimes use because it's also a good form of lead leg stepping to prepare for your lead kick but I still want to learn both variations
not sure were you really want questions submitted for the upcoming podcast but to get Costa ranting here's a few. did you get to corner for Joe's fights? or spectate? whats your favourite area of combat sports? bjj, kick boxing, muay thai etc. whats your favourite to watch outside of combat.
Yessir I was his corner. I like muay thai because I competed in it for 12 years. I find BJJ too sweaty lol..Outside of Combat Im a baseball guy Go jays..Joe doesnt watch anything outside of Combat sports lol...Dont worry I got some Rants ready!
Hey long time fan, give you a lot of credit for winning my amateur debut, now onto a question. I bought heavy bag but since my basement ceiling is low, I figure it is best to make it into a wall bag instead. How do you attach the bag into the wall?
hello great tutorial videos and building hurting bombs videos. i was wondering how lng do u take for each progression for 1 of your students .. from foundations to beginners .. beginners to intermediate .. intermediate to advanced .. advanced to fighter .. i know each students is different just wondered on an average timeline .. thanks for sharing the videos of your knowledge .. i look forward to each weeks videos since they started
Joe Stripling Impossible to tell. There are guys at my gym who only have been training for two years and are already at quite an advanced level. There are also some guys who have been training for several years and still look like it's their first day. It really depends on how often you train, how motivated you are, how good your trainer is and how naturally 'gifted' you are.
My Boy Rocco i have the same at my gym but every coach has a different progression rate almost like a belt system .. i just wondered about bazooka joe v
hey bruh in my experience it works well with the the jab to the kick as the glove hides the hip and the pendulum switch is slower and readable which I mix in with the knowing it's readable and when I switch my stance I stomp my right foot down and blast a long straight right ever few times they they don't know which Is coming and takes away from countering it. they both have there benifits and set ups
My instructor here in Thailand doesn't speak much English. So I can appreciate these kinds of tutorials with the finer points that he can't easily relate with body language. heh Thank you

If you down vote a video providing the best free, pro level instruction you can find on youtube - it's time to rethink your life.
Always assumed the downvote was Nieky Holzken

I think its not the same for everyone, some students clan learn quicker so they get better quicker
Conor Jones thats why i asked his progression system
Joe Stripling oh sorry i did not understand that, my bad

Why is the guy on the bag not pivoting the standing leg when kicking? Really curious, answers are appreciated:)
Valknut Martial Arts It more looks like that he is blocking his own power because he doesn't pivot. A small step isn't enough to generate power imho.
This is the correct answer
Buddy dabs when he kicks lol
awesome¡
What are the benefits of using the switch kick vs the pendulum kick where you do a skipping motion?
hey bruh in my experience it works well with the the jab to the kick as the glove hides the hip and the pendulum switch is slower and readable which I mix in with the knowing it's readable and when I switch my stance I stomp my right foot down and blast a long straight right ever few times they they don't know which Is coming and takes away from countering it. they both have there benifits and set ups
