Really great to see how capable your setup is. Suspension performed flawlessly - you might just want to seal the airbox (never an easy thing to truly achieve).
I'm not surprised you ended up in a convoy - you radiate warmth and generosity and people must be drawn to you both.

I think this is probably your most epic video...at one stage I had to pause the video so that I could breathe properly. WELL done to Frenchy for the brilliant footage. The water in the footwell ... just took the cake. That's what our landy looks like after a heavy rain...you just can't beat those door seals!

You can really only do this region during the dry season which is roughly May - October. It's a beautiful place.

Great video, loved the music! The bow wave looked awesome, must have been sweet from the drivers seat. Btw, at overland expo the actually used their Deadman Anchor as the water bra. 🙂🙂

What an awesome idea I would have never thought about using the Deadman for that purpose.
To be honest sometimes I forget it's even up there but always happy to have it as an insurance policy 😉

Ah yes, I also bonded with some fellow Land Rover owners on the OTT over getting wet feet. 😆 Loving these episodes Stephy and Leigh - our Cape trip already seems like a blur even though it was only a couple of months ago, so this is great to watch (though video just can't do justice to how steep and rutted some of these spots are). I would have loved to do some of these tracks with you, but I'm glad I could pass along the wading screen at the very least. :)

Man that looks like fun. Awesome job on the video, only complaint is to short, lol. Many Jeeps have a plug in the floor board you can pull to drain the floor out. Works well when you take your doors off. Hope you guys stay safe and healthy.

I built my Isuzu Rodeo to do river crossings like that. I am so jealous! Epic Adventure!
I was up there about 19 years ago and I thought that they were sealing most of the main road and I expected few corrugations to be left by now.

Sweet,l bumped into the same land rover crew with the isuzu motors in Charters Towers. l was camped at the Burdekin river campsite and l talked to them while they were 4x4. If l remember it was father driving that Perentie and son with his kids and wife in the defender. The advertising on the side of their rigs gave it away😁
Nice track, but if cars would have been made for this long water crossings they would have been called submersibles or U-Boats., 🤔😎🇫🇷

Holy geez that was some wild off-roading! Those drops and water crossings were bananas! The log bridge though! DANG! I'm not a structural engineer but that doesn't look super stable!

You got that right. $110 for a tiny river crossing. The only way to reach the tip of Australia.
Apparently, previously, it was possible to drive through the river (although plenty of crocodiles in that one) but they dug it out deeper so people have to use the ferry.

The crazy thing is that it was 5 years ago since R & E came to visit us in France. Time goes so fast.
The tent is the absolute best. We had it since 2014. Hubba Hubba 2 . It’s really expensive but totally worth it.

I would not attempt to do deep water crossings on a hot engine. Wouldn't want anything to happen to the engine. Stress cracks may soon appear
