FULL CONTEXT: SPOILERS BELOW! So this is shortly after Fig has her first real tender moments with Ayda and they pronounce real affection for one another. Fig left the conversation obviously flustered and Emily said she goes to "Use the hot tub" and locks the door. Basically to rub one out because she is super hot for Ayda right now. The rest of the crew is partying hard but also have a plan to sleep inside the party van because it has a protective field on it, so they planned to pull a bunch of mattresses into it, hence "Mattress night". Brennan basically asks for a wisdom save from everyone to make sure that it happens and everyone gets inside because they were partying hard enough to get distracted. Emily rolls a 7 then asks if the hot tub jets can provide a help action. The logic might have been that they would help her..."clear her head" somewhat easier, but I think it was mostly a joke. Brennan is ready to give a "sure" because it's Brennan, this is Fantasy High, and "Why the hell not?" is his default mode, but at the very last second he caught that it was a joke
Part of why I love Brennan DM'ing is that he intrinsically wants to say yes to his characters (except those times where saying No leads to even MORE hilarity) which is such an admirable quality in terms of making sure everyone has a good time
For anyone wondering, this occurs at about 1:19:00 in episode 12 of season 2 of Fantasy High :) I pressed the 10-second-forward button about 450 times to find it so y’all don’t have to :)
It's adorable that Murph clocked what she was asking (and her logic) as the words came out of her mouth. Although, she does stuff like that in the game he DMs for her (NADDPOD) quite a bit. And they're literally married.
@@Khyrberosin 5th edition dnd, one of the actions a character can take on its turn is grant another character advantage (=roll 2 dices and pick the better one) for an attack or a skill check Emily asked for a help action from the _hot tub_ to have advantage on the wisdom saving throw. (I think it's not possible to help action a saving throw, but I'm probably wrong)
Emily's character, Fig, had just had a kiss and an exchange of sentiment with my true love, Ayda Aguefort, and then gone to be in a hot tub for a while. It seemed like there was an implication that she was masturbating.
as someone who watched the episode but isnt good with reading between the lines im pretty sure she went to the hot tubs to "Rub One Out" as it were . after having her first real kiss

i love that Brennan nearly instantly agrees to it before realising what was actually said

Brennan: “Yes. Wait-“ *squints suspiciously*
@@JB-xl2jcIt's improv 101, and Brennan is a well-seasoned improvisor lmao
Gotta love Brennan's base instinct is to say yes to what ever his players ask. He had to think for a split second about what Emily asked xD
well a good GM's answer is "Yes, Butt"
You can see her coming up with the joke at 0:02, taking multiple seconds to reconsider it, and then saying it anyway

Murph’s reaction is so good
He looks absolutely horrified and I hope I have a lover that looks at me like that one day

emily's middle name is "fuck around and find out"
true it’s a family name
...so her middle name is "and"...
i cannot wait for her to be inhabiting fig faeth again 😭
That campaign was great, the nightmare king was a fantastic villain
Brennan was reflexively going to let her do it before realising what she was actually asking
I mean, if a hawk can help with surgery...

As a viewer with no context im concerned about what the hot tub jets were helping with
I don't think there's any need for more context. We all know what's going on here.

What were they actually rolling for though?

it didn't hit me what she meant before until just now lmao
