Doodle Date hello, you guys are my role models and I wrote about you guys in my writing and illustrating class(i drew steph as a mermaid queen holding a seahorse and Adam as a merman king holding a staff) but my I basically said you guys were the ideal version of love and my teacher read it and said " Fantastic job, Emmy!"

OK I don't see this comment enough so I might as well say it. Does anyone else admire how well-dressed, well-mannered, and handsome Adam is?! I'm not trying to disrespect Steph in any way, she is a pretty woman as well, and they go well together! They are definitely people you wouldn't mind taking home to the parents!
I no joke died of laughter when she pulled the frosted flakes box out because here I am with my own box munching away!!!! This was too perfect!
This comment and the frosted flakes in the video makes me sad because I have no more frosted flakes and even worse no cereal at all ;-;

When I was little my mom had taken me and my sister to the grocery store and before we left there was a Tony the Tiger mascot that stopped us to give us free Kelloggs cereal bowls.
I was terrified of him and I ended up hiding in the shopping cart under all the food we bought. 😅

There aren't many channels on TH-cam that make me feel quite as happy as you guys do! I'm disabled and bedbound because of MS (multiple sclerosis) and been doing awful lately, I went on a binge watch when I discovered you guys and am fully up to date now! Which I'm happy about but at the same time it makes me sad because I could watch you both every single day for the entire day honestly ! Thank you for being so wonderful in this difficult world ❤ it's always bittersweet when I finish another video
If you're having trouble avoiding little details, you can use masking fluid! Its like a latex liquid you can paint on that resists water-based things! I use it with watercolors all the time.
I was thinking, because Adam always says he's very heavy handed, it'd be cool if you could do some monoprints - of your own drawings of course, it's not a doodle date without the doodles!

i watched you guys since i was around 10 i think (around the 3 marker challenge) and stayed awhile until i got very busy with school because i was failing alot of tests, coming back to your videos brings back alot of memory and since your videos made me so happy when i was a kid, you guys were like the only thing i ever watched on youtube. im starting to enjoy your videos as i did as a kid again too !! i was even surprised when you guys posted on a tuesday, i thought it was still only on sundays !

Herbin also has a glitter ink that I think you would like called Emerald of Chivor, and it is a dark teal with red and gold sparkles :) Keep up the good work, love your channel

I like the dynamic between Adam's merpeople! Steph, you're better at blending than you think. I'm too nervous to try blending with ink like that, I've only used it to line things so far. We call that cereal Frosted Flakes in the US. It sounds too adult compared to Frosties!

Giant squids are amazing and its beautiful so see them!! I remember a few years ago when they caught one on camera for like the first time and the body alone (not including the tentacles) was bigger than a bus and the eye alone was as big as a tire...oh it was fascinating!!!

Fun fact: Back a long time ago the color blue was very difficult to get so if your art had the color blue in it it meant you were rich, or employed by the rich. This was especially common during the renaissance.

You need to make a video called drawing dolphins with aquamarine ink
If you dip the pen deeper into the ink, you wont have to re-dip as often. Make sure that you submerge the little hole of the nib, that is where the ink is going to stick to and act as a little reservoir.

Thank you for these videos- I'm doing my art foundation year (did either of you two do a foundation year? It's so intense) while dealing with clinical depression and I'm finding the work really hard. These videos really calm me down. It's like unintentional ASMR.
Tip: if Adam puts his hand through the ink again put a light wash of the same ink through through the image- it'll hide the blur and can add some tone :)

pro tip, if you can hear the pen nib being all scratchy, it probably means youre working on paper that has a bit of a tooth, and the scratchyness is the nib being damaged and worn down :P you can get smooth paper for inking so it doesnt damage the nib and it might keep the nib good for a bit longer :P also, stephs blending was really nice on the body bit, it looks super cool!

Squids have statocysts which are similar to the human inner ear. Also, they can hear up to about 500 Hz where we can hear up to about 20,000. So they don’t have “ears” really, and have limited hearing.
On the other hand though, those suction cup ears are adorable XD
